Episode 12

"I will keep them company until you are ready" he said to her and she nods as he walked to the doors to allow his parents in as Cha Cha led Xiaobai deeper into her room to get dressed.

Once dressed and both make up and hair was done, she walked to the front of her chamber and met up with the King and Queen, the Prince beside her.

"Your Imperial Princess" the Queen said as Xiaobai bowed to her in greeting with Cha Cha following suit.

"Xiaobai greets your Majesties, thank you for coming all this way to meet me, but if you wanted to meet me, I do not mind meeting you in the throne room" she said in a polite tone.

"It is fine, we heard about your adventure in the village for the festival last night, we wanted to make sure you have the best time" the King said as Xiaobai nods.

"It was a dream to see one of the Tang's lovely festivals, but as I had a lot of fun last night, I fell asleep along the way home and troubled his Highness to take me home" she said as the Queen smiled.

"It makes me happy to see you two bonding, I heard that your Highness loved adventures and that you absolutely loved festivals, we were hoping we could see some of the Wei Kingdom's festivals" the Queen said.

"Of course, when you come to attend our wedding in the future, I am sure to give you the tour of the village, I have heard that we have a festival coming up in a few weeks, I think we can schedule our wedding along those weeks" she said.

"You have finally decided to settle down?" the King asked.

"I have has the best travel of my life, coming here to the Tang Kingdom, I have seen all the beautiful things, I have decided I will settle down and marry the Prince" she said.

'Si Ming give me a sign on how to betray her' Dijun thought to himself as he walked to stand beside the Princess.

"I think the feast tonight will be our last night here before I return the Imperial Princess back to her Palace" Dijun said as his mother Xiaobai's hands.

"I am so proud of you my son, Imperial Highness, thank you for taking my son into your life and your Kingdom" the Queen said as the Princess nodded her head with a smile.

"Spending so much time with each other, we have so much affection for each other" Xiaobai said as she went to stay beside the Prince and linked her arm with his.

After the King and Queen's visit, the Princess smiles as she leaned her chin against his arm.

"What shall we do today?" she asked as he moved his arms around her waist and she froze, a blush creeping to her cheeks.

"We can sit under the pavilion again and eat those cakes you like, maybe also make some paintings?" he asked as she looked up at him after looking around to see if anyone was near.

She then leaned on her toes and pecked him lightly on the lips before moving from his arms.

"Let's go to the pavilion then" she said before leaving her chamber and walking towards the pavilion that was surrounded with a lotus pond.

Sitting herself on the cushion, she watched as the Prince and her maid brought trays of food and jugs of peach wine to the table and Cha Cha poured two cups of wine before offering one each to the couple.

"You may return back to your room, I will get Qingti to come fetch you if you are needed" the Prince said as Cha Cha bowed her head before walking off to her room.

Xiaobai handed him his cup when he sat down and he accepted the cup a smile on his face as he started to sip it.

Xiaobai looked around the scenery around them, taking in the beauty of it as she ate some of the cakes and sipped her wine.

"I have sent a letter home of our return tomorrow, as wall as our plans to marry in a few weeks time, to line up with the festival for your parents to see" the Princess said as Dijun nods his head.

"Of course, my parents will come visit and they cannot wait to see the festival" he said as she smiled.

As the day wore on, they returned back to her chamber, sitting at the table they chatted some more. Her maid was told to retire for the rest of the day in her room for the night and they drank tea well into the afternoon.

It soon became early into the night and time for the feast in the Imperial Princess's honour, Xiaobai dressed into a white hanfu dress with a pale blue silk hanging from her arms.

Her hair was done up and Dijun gently placed new hair pins into her hair which were different from her own as she smiled happily.

They walked arm in arm to the throne room. As they entered, the King and Queen greeted them, they sat to one side of the King and Queen as the hall filled up with noble families, once the hall was full, the King stood up.

"Tonight we celebrate the marriage between our Kingdom and the Imperial family of the Wei Kingdom's Imperial Princess Xiaobai" he said as the Queen stood up and took her place beside him.

"I thank the beautiful Imperial Princess for coming to visit us ahead of her wedding to our son the Prince, as King and Queen, we hope they life a long life as Empress and Emperor of the Wei Dynasty, I do hope our alliance will be kept as long as our relationship stands" the Queen said.

"I agree, I hope our alliance keeps the peace between the two countries, I as well as my future husband the Prince, are excited for the next few weeks preparing for our marriage as a way of uniting us" the Imperial Princess said after she stood up and bowed to her in-laws.

After bowing to her in-laws, Xiaobai sat down and the festivities went into full swing and well into the night. Dijun, who had drunk more then Xiaobai walked with her back to her chamber after the feast ended.

As they walked in, Dijun pulled her into his arms and smiled, moving his arms around her waist. Leaning against the wall, the Princess looked up at him, holding her hand to his forehead and looking worriedly at him.

"Do you feel okay?" she asked as he nodded and leaned his face close to hers.

"I love you, Xiaobai" he said and picked her up into his arms and moved to her bed, lying her down as he moved beside her, keeping his forehead against hers.

Looking up at him with a blush on her cheeks, she then closed her eyes and allowed him to kiss her.
