Separated

They reopened the window and got back inside.

"We cannot confront them without any weapons," Qi Cheng said with a bad tone. There wasn't anything he could see that could be used as weapons.

"We don't have any chairs either." Xu Feiqun stated in depression.

"Next classroom" Yan Zheming answered thoughtfully when he realized that Feiqun hadn't stopped thinking about chairs till then

"Oh, I forgot" Xu Feiqun had a blank face.

Sometimes. he wondered if he had gone stupid after working recklessly with Li for so long.

"Right. Let's go next door" Chen Yang said happily now that the problem about weapons was solved. It was one step closer to getting out of there.

Li had no objections. It would be better if they find anything more durable.

Qi Cheng who was slightly ahead of all others opened the door and a bloodied face with a wide-opened jaw met his gaze at the first sight.

His pupil dilated and his heart rate picked up. His whole body was slightly shaking and his legs refused to move. He felt a deep sense of powerlessness. He tightly closed his eyes in reflex when he realized that the zombie was extremely close to him.

Li abruptly pulled him back and slammed the door shut on the zombie's face with a cold expression.

"Are you alright?" A faintly worried expression could be seen on Li's face looking down at Qi Cheng.

Li could feel the abnormality of the shaking teenager but didn't think much about it crediting it to his fear of almost being bitten by the zombie.

Qi Cheng nodded gratefully and stiffly got out of his arms.

Xu Feiqun looked through the keyhole and backed up with a pale face. "Too many zombies are out there!"

The empty hall was starting to be filled with sluggish zombies.

They were uneasy and anxious about the unexpected situation.

Li didn't want to waste any more time."Get away from the door."

They walked away from the door hesitantly not knowing what Li was after. They panicked when they saw him opening the door again.

Chen Yang who was the closest to the door beside Li, kicked away the zombie as soon as he saw the hideous face.

Li didn't spare a glance at them and picked up the desk and flung it as far as he could.

It smashed against the wall with a big clatter.

The zombies who were walking around aimlessly suddenly turned around as if they were stimulated by the sound.

Li motioned at them to follow him.

They quietly slipped away from the distracted zombies. They swiftly reached for the door and flashed inside the classroom closing the door shut.

They visibly relaxed after being insulated from the zombies. It was too thrilling for them to face so many bizarre things in a day.

"That kick was so handsome" Feiqun was the first to speak and he immediately praised Chen Yang.

"It was nothing." Chen Yang said modestly"I kicked it by instinct"

"Still"

"That was very cool" Yan Zheming admitted with admiration.

Qi Cheng nodded going along with their conversation while Li was looking at the shadow on the corner where the two figures huddled closely.

A low depressed sob was heard ending with hiccups even though the person tried to suppress it.

"What's that sound?" Chen Yang was alarmed when he finally noticed they weren't the only ones in there.

Others also grew vigilant after noticing the two figures who were cleverly hiding in the most inconspicuous corner of the classroom.

"Who are you guys?" Qi Cheng took the initiative to ask the question on the behalf of others.

The question remained unanswered as the two people refused to come forward and communicate with them.

"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" Xu Feiqun questioned warily.

It was unknown what kind of people they were and they didn't want to face someone difficult and unkind in such circumstances.

The classroom was silent and the figures finally moved forward hesitantly. Others were surprised when they saw two timid girls coming out from behind the corner.

They relaxed when they saw two weak girls relying on each other to attain more confidence.

"W-We didn't dare to follow our classmates when they rushed out of the classroom," The short-haired girl said with a slight edge in her voice

She was looking at the group of people before her nervously. They were more powerful and large in number easily intimidating the two weak girls.

The long-haired girl supposed to be her friend immediately starting crying loudly.

The short-haired girl didn't have any spare time to pay attention to them after hearing her friend whimpers. She began to persuade her friend that they would surely survive all this and leave the school together.

"I want you guys to wait for me here." Li ignored the girls and expressed his thoughts startling them.

Li didn't give any chance for them to speak and laid out his plans before them. He smashed a chair and weighted a narrow piece of wood amidst his explanation.

"It is too risky for you guys to follow me outside. I don't have any optimistic notion about outside situations."

"If you insist on following me outside then I can't guarantee that you will be alive after looking at your skills and operations when facing zombies and dangerous predicament."

"I will pick up my brother and his friends at his school. I will try to come back as soon as I can"

Nobody refuted him knowing the answer all too well in their hearts. They knew that they would only be a burden to Li if they followed him.

"I have to go and get my brother." Qi Cheng with an unrefutable voice. He was anxious to reach his little brother.

"Mine too" Unexpectedly it was Yan Zheming who was among the most rational ones.

"Don't worry, I will bring them back." Han Zhuoli seriously promised.

"But.." They were still reluctant to only let him go.

"I will bring them back safely," Li assured them with a good attitude.

They were persuaded by others at the end and simply placed their faith in Li hoping that Li would bring them back safely.

Li placed his hands on the doorknob with an expressionless face.

"Li?"

Han Zhuoli slightly turned his body and looked back with a little inquiry.

"Come back alive" Qi Cheng pursed his lips and stared at Li seriously.

A subtle smile could be seen on his face when Li nodded and got out calmly.
