I want to see those purple eyes

In the opulent halls of the Tang Mansion, Anita Tang walked with measured steps, her thoughts lost in contemplation. Suddenly, she caught the sound of loud voices emanating from Daniel Tang's study room. Her initial intention wasn't to eavesdrop, but her curiosity got the better of her. Anita proceeded silently, approaching the slightly ajar door to get a glimpse of what was happening inside.

"I can't believe you failed such an easy task. I am deeply ashamed to call you my son because you couldn't even eliminate them as we planed," Denial's voice was filled with anger and disappointment.

"Father, please, hear me out. I gave it my all, but there's someone who intervened and allowed them to survive. The type of accident they endured doesn't typically spare lives," Max explained earnestly.

Denial's surprise was evident as he asked, "So you're suggesting that someone saved them?"

"But don't worry, Father. I'll find that person and ensure not a single living cell in their body remains," Max declared with a bloodthirsty tone.

Anita couldn't believe what she was witnessing. Her own son, the one she had protected and loved with all her heart, was displaying the same heartlessness as his father. She muttered to herself in a low voice, "I need to warn her about my son before he takes any action." With this resolve, she swiftly left the mansion, intent on meeting her so-called friend in the woods.

MC Hospital...

Kevin Mar stood outside a certain ward, gazing through the glass window at the unconscious lady lying on the bed. Inside the room, Skylar and Lily Mar were busily tidying up as they engaged in non-stop conversation. Kevin couldn't help but feel a growing worry for Lila, who remained in a coma.

"I know you're eager to put the ring on her finger, but what if she wakes up and doesn't remember you? What will you do then, bro?" Justin Mar, who had intended to talk to Skylar, decided to join Kevin by the glass window.

"Bro, I don't understand why it's taking her so long to wake up from this coma. It's been almost a month now," Kevin Mar expressed his frustration. He had awakkened from his own coma nearly two weeks ago, eagerly waiting for Lila to regain consciousness so he could share their incredible past.

"Come on, bro. She needs time to process everything from the past. That's why it's taking longer. But rest assured, no matter what happens, she's yours," Justin reassured him.

"That's right, Kevin. You should listen to Justin. He knows how to treat his queen," Feng Ting chimed in, appearing out of nowhere.

"Ting, I thought you were here to take our sister away," Kevin Mar replied, giving Feng Ting a glance.

"But I came here to see you and check on your health. You're telling me I came for Lily instead?" Feng Ting responded.

"Well, that's what I assumed," Justin Mar added.

Doctor Leo Wang approached them, holding some documents. "Hey, CEO Mar, and the other CEO Mar, along with Feng Ting."

"Why do you always disrespect me by calling me just 'Feng Ting' and not even 'Young Master,' let alone 'CEO'?" Feng Ting questioned, his eyes narrowing at Doctor Leo, prompting laughter from the Mar brothers.

"Let's just say it's because you're a cousin to my best friend and a business partner with my sister, so I can call you whatever I want," Doctor Leo replied with a smile.

"Wait, you're Emma Wang's brother? I should have guessed," Justin Mar remarked.

"Well, I guess Emma is more well-known than I am," Doctor Leo admitted.

"Emma is much more formal and respectful than you, Doc," Feng Ting teased.

Suddenly, Kevin Mar noticed some movement from Lila. He pointed to the unconscious woman and exclaimed, "Guys, her hands are moving!" He rushed into the room.

"Bro, wait up!" Justin followed him, with Feng Ting and Doctor Leo right behind.

Their sudden entrance startled the two ladies, but Kevin made his way to Lila, gently taking her hand. "Please open your eyes, Dora. Please, do this for me," he pleaded.

As if under a spell, Lila slowly and weakly opened her eyes. In a soft, weak voice, she uttered, "K... Ken," and then closed her eyes again.

"No, please, wake up, Purmel. I want to see those purple eyes of yours again," Kevin Mar urged, panic evident in his voice.

"Lil, please wake up," Skylar said, hugging her sister tightly.

Doctor Leo Wang intervened, "I think you should all leave so that I can examine her."

Reluctantly, everyone left the room, including Skylar, but Kevin remained by Lila's side.

"Are you sure she'll be okay, Doctor Leo?" Kevin asked, his voice filled with concern.

"Yes, she'll be fine. She's just very weak right now," Doctor Leo reassured him before leaving to check on other patients.

Kevin decided to tuck Lila in comfortably with the blanket, but she held onto his hand and looked into his eyes. "Kenia, please don't leave me alone," she whispered, fearing he might abandon her.

*

"Shh, don't talk too much. I'm not leaving you alone," he reassured her, gently caressing her forehead.

"Kenia, are you angry with me for losing our baby back then?" Lila asked with a hint of anxiety in her voice

Lila Xia still felt burdened by the past, her emotions heavy as she lay there, looking at Kevin with her sad purple eyes.

Kevin, who was about to sit in a nearby chair, found himself taken aback by her words. He stared at the girl on the bed, her beautiful eyes filled with sadness.

"Purmel "

" I know you have someone else in this life that you love, right?" Lila's eyes remained fixed on Kevin Mar, her doll-like eyes glistening with tears.

"Listen, Purmel, I don't want you to feel bad about anything now. You should rest," Kevin suggested, concerned for her well-being.

"No, I want you to tell me who she is," Lila replied, tears now streaming down her face.

"Dora, please stop crying," Kevin embraced her, gently wiping away her tears. "I'm not upset about what happened in the past. It wasn't your fault. I promise I'll seek revenge for everything that happened. Please stop crying, my dear queen."

"Kenia, I love you," Lila suddenly said in a husky voice, her emotions overwhelming her.

Kevin kissed her on the forehead, returning the sentiment. "I love you too, Purmel. But, wait, what should I call you? Purmel, Lila, or Dora? Which one?"

"I don't mind what you call me, but I think I'll call you Mr. Lollipop," Lila teased, a playful smile on her face.

"I love the way you say that, and those eyes of yours...they're driving me crazy, Purmel. They make me want to kiss you, just like I used to," Kevin Mar admitted, leaning in as if to kiss her.

"Kevin, don't. I haven't freshened up. Can you let me do that first?" Lila turned her face away to avoid the kiss.

Kevin chuckled at her adorable act and agreed, "Okay, then. Let me help you freshen up."

While Kevin assisted Lila into the bathroom, four individuals outside the room were experiencing the love shared between Kevin and Lila.

"Wait, don't tell me he tried to kiss her just now? I feel like this isn't the Kevin I know. And can someone explain why Lila's eyes are purple?" Lily Mar asked, her gaze fixed on the scene through the glass window.

"Wait, are those her real eyes?" Feng Ting inquired.

"Guys, calm down, and let us explain," Justin Mar intervened.

"Then what are you waiting for? Start explaining this sudden eye color change in Lila," Feng Ting urged.

Skylar, sighing, removed her contact lenses, revealing her ocean-blue eyes. Both Feng Ting and Lily Mar were taken aback. "Lila and I don't have brown eyes. We actually have different eye colors. Hers are purple and shaped like melons, while mine are as blue as the sky."

"Oh, so that's why you call her Purmel, as in 'purple melon.' Now I get it," Lily Mar said, her face lighting up with understanding.

"Guys, I still don't fully grasp this reincarnation stuff, but I know one thing—I don't want a reincarnated person as my child. Right, Meerkat?" Feng Ting expressed his concern, wrapping his arm around Lily's waist.

"Yes, Ting, it would be really strange. I can't imagine our child saying they're from the past and knowing more about our history than we do," Lily Mar agreed, holding Feng Ting's hand.

"Guys, wait a second. I think Kevin is taking Lila into the bathroom," Skylar Xia noted, her forehead creased with concern.

"Wait, what?" Both Lily Mar and Feng Ting exclaimed.

"Unfortunately, Kevin couldn''t wait any longer. Now I understand why she got pregnant by him in the past. Anyway, I have to meet with someone here in a few minutes," Skylar calmly explained.

"Should I drop you off?" Justin Mar offered.

"Huh, that's not necessary. I can go by myself," Skylar said, preparing to leave.

Justin, who had become suspicious of Skylar's frequent meetings and her abrupt departure, couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. "Sky, who is this person you've been meeting with recently?"

"Justin, I don't have time to talk to you right now. The only thing I can say is that I need to leave for a mission. If I come back, I'll tell you everything. So, bye," Skylar kissed his cheek and quickly departed.

Justin was left puzzled by her sudden departure.
