Sunlight penetrated the foliage and trees before shining in the eyes of Zeron and the others.

Last night, after the two-way ambush where Zeron and Sake were attacked by a peak body refining rank cultivator, while Rexi and the rest were attacked by dozens of body refining rank cultivators and five peak qi accumulating rank cultivators.

It was with Rexi's impressive hidden strength that it didn't turn into a fatal danger.

Fu Lin walked towards Rexi and stopped. She stood an arm's length from him and whispered in a low voice that carried a charming breath

"I am not sure he can make it past three days." She said as the direction of her eyes pointed towards a soft grass where a pale skinny man with tattered clothes lay on it.

The pale man is the mortal reliance sect disciple who was heavily injured.

She continued while shaking her head in pity, "his meridian is destroyed and his future as a cultivator is ruined even if he can survive enough to get help from the sect."

Rexi could only sigh at her words. Feeling sad for the disciple.

He looked in another direction where, under a giant tree with a large canopy, sat Zeron, who was fully in meditation.

He has been meditating like that from when they changed location to this very hidden site in the forest, which was discovered by Sake when he went to take a leak.

It was inside of a mountain whose entrance was blocked by weeds and trees.

In the enclosed cave, there is a natural opening where sunlight and rain can penetrate into the cave.

Zeron opened his eyes and spat out a long breath which penetrated a tree and corroded it.

He stood up and stretched his body.

He clenched his hands and said, "Pulse and Meridian stage. Finally."

Sake, on hearing the little commotion, woke up with a startled expression from his sleep.

With beady eyes and a terrified countenance, when he saw that it was just Zeron and the others and not some evil sect of people who came to kill him.

He heaved a sigh, put on a relieved expression, and stood up from where he was curled up.

He approached Zeron and said, "Hope you slept at all?"

Zeron only smiled and said yes.

Sake just shook his head, knowing how much of a training freak Zeron is, and considering last night's life-threatening encounter, the probability of him just resting is negative.

Rexi walked to Zeron and patted his shoulders. "Congratulations." He said.

"Now what we should do now is to stealthily return to the sect."

He instructed everyone to eat their food and embark on a return journey to the sect.

This time it was Zeron who was assigned to carry the pale mortal reliance sect disciple.

A few hours after leaving their initial location, they heard the sound of fighting from a distance.

It was the shout of people shouting and a beast roar.

Rexi, with a raise of his right hand, signaled the others to stop. He looked at Kongwen who nodded to him.

Kongwen removed the bow from his back and held it in his hands. With a sharp and serious feature, he walked straight ahead out of view.

A few minutes later, he returned with a grave expression.

"Evil sect battles rank two beasts."

Everyone had a solemn expression when he said those words.

Even if the word is short, everybody understands the meaning.

Which is that evil sect cultivators are battling a rank two beast.

Beast are ranked like cultivators, where the awakened beast is equivalent to body refining rank cultivator, rank one is equivalent to qi accumulating rank cultivator, and rank two beasts are equivalent to qi condensation cultivator.

More cultivators of the same stage are required to fight a beast of the equivalent stage.

Demon beasts are mostly vastly superior to cultivators, especially those of great bloodlines

Why humans dominate because when a human cultivator is strong, he becomes ridiculously strong.

That is how the humans were able to suppress the demon beast. They could only suppress them in peak strength and little quality but in a large quantity and bottom quality, the demon beast surpasses the humans by a large margin.

"Is there any cultivator in the qi condensation rank among them?" Rexi asked Kongwen

He replied. "Not sure. Leader not attack."

Rexi was silent for a few seconds, then asked again, "How many qi accumulating class cultivators are there."

"Seven." Was Kongwen replied.

Everybody remained solemn

Seven qi accumulating rank cultivators and a suspected qi condensation stage cultivator are a heavy number.

Rexi looked towards the others and said, "Now is the best and only time for us to attack."

"Why?" Sila asked.

He didn't respond to him but pointed his index finger to his right ear and pointed it again to the distance.

Everyone understood immediately.

The roar of the rank two beast is getting heavier, and the shouting of the cultivator has stopped.

"They have discovered us," Zaike said.

"Yes," Rexi replied. "If the suspected leader is in the qi condensation rank, his soul sense would be able to capture Kongwen."

"I avoided range." Was what Kongwen said as he backtracked himself to stand at the back of others. He assumed the role of the Archer.

Rexi pulled out his sword from his waist sheath, and as the sharp edge glittered against the sun, without turning his head to Kongwen, he replied, "What if he is not an early-stage qi condensation rank cultivator."

The moment he was done talking, he sped up and cut off a fast-moving arrow by two halves. The cut was smooth.

An arrow came from behind him and shot into the distance where a shout is heard shortly after.

"I have found them Lord Hinge. I followed your instructions and followed the trail of that stealthily person." Shouted someone from a distance in a loud voice.

"Good!." A heavy voice said. The voice added qi to the sound wave which shook the trees in the vicinity.

"Jim Gen and the seven others finish up this beast. The rest come with me."

A hundred meters away, the evil sect cultivator appeared in front of Zeron, and the other's view.

There was an error in what Kongwen reported.

The numbers that are battling the beast are the same, but there is an additional qi condensation rank cultivator and several qi accumulation classes.

The lucky thing is that the other qi condensation rank cultivator and seven qi accumulating rank cultivators are battling the already heavily injured leopard demon beast.

But it is too early to say lucky because the leader is a late-stage qi condensation rank cultivator.

Rexi's sword and the leader's sword meet and create sparks.
