Sixth Vow: Two Sides of the Same Coin

Grey stood on the balcony while drinking coffee. "Rovanovich better calm his ass down before I do it for him. The fuck with his stunts." He needed to do something about him. He and Victor are in the same position. They were they successors of their own companies.

Unexpectedly, they are not far from one another. Expectations, pressure, and the unwanted gazes from others. He knew all of those too well.

His little game with Catherine really did a number on him. Their conversation at the park, where the lights were dim and the crickets were visibly heard. He indeed is intrigued by her innocence, facial expressions, and the untainted genuineness. He planned if he continued with his antics, he would not be so lonely for once.

His continuous doting on Catherine had a special place in his heart.

It felt that she is the one person where he can confide himself with no ulterior motives whatsoever. The days he has been with her awoke a feeling inside him that he could not simply place what it was. Right now, he had a new agenda.

Grey needed to devise a plan in making Catherine see that Victor is not what he presents himself to be. He will expose him and all his filthy doings and nature. He smirked while looking at the empty coffee mug. "Rovanovich… You messed with the wrong man. Just wait and see. Catherine will hate you. She will hate you so much you would probably wish you were dead."

He opened his phone and contacted some of his trusted people. "Phil, keep an eye on Victor Rovanovich. Make sure you trace his tracks well. Contact Roland, tell him that he needs to investigate this bastard. Make sure he has something to present me next week."

"Yes boss." Phil, the man on the other line, agreed quietly.

Grey headed to his bedroom. He needs to sleep. He has classes to attend tomorrow. He should not stress himself thinking about Victor and Catherine's relationship. In a few months he will be out of that school and run the business. "I just need to make sure that he will never be able to annul his engagement so that Catherine will not be associating with that bastard any longer."

He closed his eyes, letting sleep conquer him completely. Even when the possibility of Victor cutting ties with his fiancée has been taken cared of, Grey will find a way to make sure those two are taken care of.

On Victor's end, his get together with his previous classmates from high school just ended. They went on their separate way. Before Victor headed home, he visited Catherine's apartment. He saw the light is still on. "My Rosie…" He stood there for a couple of minutes before going inside his car.

He had fun watching Grey lose his composure. Victor knew for the fact that he knows Catherine the best. He is also certain that Catherine will choose him over Kingsley. Grey will never in a million years replace him in her life.
