New Faction (2)

Artirian looks at the cadets who are furiously looking at him. He would then grip his wooden sword tightly and after a few seconds of interference all of the cadets that were moving an inch of step, Soon they would all charge simultaneously.

But before that happened, He would open the door and then the archers and muskets were in position. He would then jump outside and as he landed on the ground he would roll to the side. and that's when the fire of bullets rain onto the cadets that were charging and loose arrows befall on the enemy cadets that were charging Artirian.

It was like a killing spree, the ones that were on the front were instantly killed and also on the second layers of charging men. Only a few would be able to quickly react and run inside again.

Soon enough the cadets who were charging at Artirian would fall on the ground some would crawl but they would be knocked by the swing of the wooden sword. One cadet would kick the door open and it would surprise them as the Blur forces cadets would be raising their hands.

Aritirian said with an assertive tone of voice "Clean this place up to make sure no Blue forces are left behind make sure to watch them retreat a few meters while you guys go back in this place"

Artirian walked inside the library, and after a few look at the racks and books, he noticed a few changes when he came back. The cadets would be already making it a durable defensive fortification and some measure for fast attacks from the enemy. Also, some of the cadets would already add some barricades at the windows to avoid direct fire.

Artirian would then walk towards a door as he opened it was going up to the second and third floor of the library. As he walks inside he would feel a bit sketchy as if there was someone watching him. But he just gave it a shrug and he continued to walk up and soon found the door entering the second floor.

The second floor is only consisting of offices so he doesn't mind it and continue to climb up the sitars towards the third floor once he reached the third floor there were two doors in front of him the first one was the door opening to stocks of books and records the second door was for the door ladder to climb up the rooftop. Artirian would then open the second door which is directed towards the rooftop.

Artirian would grab the handle for the ladder and slowly climb up. Once he reached the top he would see the East and west wing of the academy. It was enormous. The academy was so spacious that is why the cadets didn't need to go outside of the academy to do something.

As he climbed up the ladder and got on the rooftop floor he would feel the wind that was blowing from the west side and slowly his hair would become messy. He would then look at the place where there is still a battle that was ongoing. Artirna would then walk towards the edge and shouted "GET ME A DAMN GREY FLAG HERE IMMEDIATELY" one of the cadets would hear it and run towards inside to grab a Grey flag. The grey flag symbolizes that there would be a new faction that will bring an uproar in the games.

Soon the cadet would be raising the Grey flag and once he raised it would give a new standing in the Academy. After a few minutes of looking at the view of the academy, Artirian would head down off the rooftop and with that, it was exactly the time for the daily rations to arrive. The rations include some money to buy the company to platoon units and cavalry units at the dormitories.

There is something called not affiliated troops because at the start of the strategy game on what Artirian read on the papers that were on the table last time. He read that when the game starts there would be picking that who are from the two forces but also there would be also a choice if that company or platoon would be for hire or will not join the strategy game.

And that is where the dormitories happen. Dormitories are like inns or places where to recruit certain units. There are a group of platoon leaders that control 60 people, there are company leaders who control 120 people, there are cavalry officers and there is also a veteran musket squad and archer squad. Every unit that is available in the strategy game can be found in the dormitories but because there is also an elimination if a cadet is shot or been knocked out while there is an ongoing battle then that cadet would be out for the entire game.

That is why there is also a limitation from who will be able to join again in the strategy game. Because from what Artirian know there are now only a few companies and squads left for the entire 60-day strategy game.

Arthur would walk towards Artirian who was checking the supplies and money to increase their strength. "Sir, we are about to move out, are we ready?" Artirian replied while looking at him."Yes, we are ready, catch" Artirian would throw a bag of coins "try and buy 2 companies and I want them to normal cadets don't buy too expensive I will stay behind in this place to lead I expect you reach the dormitories by evening." Arthur nodded and turned around and walked back out of the room.

Arthur would bring 4 of his loyal aides with him and left. the other cadets would be guarding the library fortification. They left the place around midday and they reached the dormitories around the evening and it was dinner. A big man would look at them as they approach the entrance of the dormitory compound "Who goes there? State your name and rank and faction if not get lost" with a rough deep voice.

The big man is also muscular built. Arthur would show the tag of the New faction on their shoulders. The big man did even bother to speak as he knew the news of the new faction that defeated the Blue and Red forces in the battle of the arena yesterday.

After passing the bi muscular man Arthur and his men would open the door to the inn. They are Luckily welcomed by the inn master and gave them a wave. The place was bustling with Platoon to company leaders, their uniforms are well presented and you can see their ranks on their sleeves.

"Welcome new customers, how can I help you?" the fatty inn master with a moustache said. Arthur replied "I came from the new faction and we came here to recruit platoons or companies that are willing to serve us in the new factions" Arthur was straight forward as ever. The platoon and company leaders would look at Arthur in shock.

Because they already know about this New faction that is based on the West side of the academy and has taken the Arena from the Blue forces and has repelled both the combined forces of the two reigning factions in the Academy. After Arthur spoke those words all of the platoon leaders would quickly stand and offer their service to Arthur.

But Arthur raised his hand like in a halt. And he said with an assertive tone of voice "There will be qualifications and mind if we sit first before you guys apply" The platoon and company leaders would all nod.

Arthur would sit on a chair that was located at the end of the inn. While there would be a line of officers that are waiting to sit in front of him while his two aides would be standing at his back. Arthur would put the bag of gold on the table and put a sword on the table too. Arthur would get the attention of the inn master and said: "can we order 5 ales and 5 portions of meat please after this we will be hungry." The inn master would smile and give a thumbs up.

Because of the sword, some were already intimidated but because of this, their passion for service has been raised the same with other officers. Arthur would look at the first officer who was seated in front of him. Arthur would look serious, his hand would be holding a quill and a paper. Then the officer in front of him started speaking.

"I am Lt, Kal I am a platoon leader for 50 men. What are the qualifications?" Arthur would look at the face of the officer and then say "Can I ask you how long have you been in the dormitories?" the Lt replied, "5 months after my first strategy I gained enough cadets under me and formed a platoon." Arthur would smirk and hand him a paper "fill this and we will see them tomorrow".
