A lightning brightened the horizon, darkening because of the advent of the evening; the smell in the air was the proof it was very close to start raining. Fran was frozen, looking at his lonely hand and hearing Mikoto's steps getting more and more far away; on the opposite side, a boy was walking towards her so this guy and Misaka met halfway, about ten metres from when Fran was standing.
«Y-you?! You always pop out everytime someone least expects it!» Misaka exclaimed, pointing fingers at him.
«Biri-Biri? You too here? I saw a weird electric explosion and I came here checking if somebody was in trouble. You did it too?» Kamijou Touma asked, fixing his scarf gone messy during the run.
«My name is Misaka Mikoto! And actually… I was the center of the explosion, but it's all good now!» Misaka said, scratching her head for the embarrassment.
«Aaaah… I should've imagined. I ran here for nothing. If I would have known it was you messing around, I would have never missed that discount offer just to come here!» the boy said, so he turned back to walk away.
«E-ehy! What are you suggesting?! That I'm a troublemaker?! I-idiot!» Misaka yelled at him, completely turned red like a tomato as some sparkle came out of her face.
«What the hell am I doing here?» this immediate thought overwhelmed Fran, dragging him into deep sadness and regret; he couldn't stand watching that scene after so many worries and effort, so many thoughts and feelings, still that girl completely ignored him once Kamijou Touma appeared.
Misaka's gaze suddenly changed and her mind fully erased what she was doing with Fran few seconds before and this happened by hearing Touma's voice only; Fran finally recalled his hand and tried to call Misaka's name, but he was not able to because he was too hurt on the inside to talk.
«It's no use. She won't turn.» he thought. «How could I have not understood this earlier… did I have to witness this? I do not belong to this world. This is not my story. Nobody needs me here… I'm only a common passerby. If I wasn't here… he would have came and the course of event would have not changed. Why… why does she not look at me? Why not even a goodbye? Am I so easily forgettable?»
«Toooooumaaaaaa! Can you not run away all of a sudden?!» Index reached the couple and leaned on Touma's arm, tired. «Ah… short hair is here too, huh?»
«Don't mind, Index. I was leaving. Biri-Biri already solved the problem herself and this time I really just wasted my time and energies! Such misfortune! So, what do we eat today?» Touma shouted his catchphrase to Lady Luck and quickly walked towards the way back home together with his little nun friend.
«What?! I-idiot, where are you going?! At least ask me if I'm ok! Don't you want to know how I ended up like this?! Wait for me!» Mikoto ran after him and Touma speeded his steps to flee away.
Fran was still standing on the same spot, immobile, watching them vanishing in the distance; the first rain drops touched the ground and a very loud thunder covered Fran's words to himself.
«Am I so… worthless?» In the exact moment he said that words, his heart started to hurt and he felt forced to grip his chest in pain; he felt something raising up from his oesophagus and he quickly moved his hand from the heart to the mouth to shut it as his cheeks swelled up and his eyes were floating out of his head.
The boy started running as fast as he could, completely ignoring his wounded leg that slightly opened again eventually starting to bleed under his trousers.
«It's happening again… I have to go somewhere I can be alone…» he thought in panic, running fast and straight forward while passerby looked at him dismayed; he was running away but without knowing where to go, he was using all of his strength and will to contain that thing filling his mouth but it wasn't enough. A weird black liquid started porting out from his eyes like they were tears; right before touching the ground, the drops turned into black wasps following and stinging him. The more time passed, the more wasps were born and swarmed against the helpless boy.
«That guy looks in trouble. Should we call somebody from Judgment?» a girl asked to his partner as she opened her umbrella.
«Well… he is gone already and we don't know where is he heading… but he looked like he was the unluckiest man.» he replied.
«What do you mean?»
«How can you manage to get chased by a swarm of wasps during a thunderstorm?!»
«Can you be serious once? Stop telling jokes! Ahahahah!» the girl hit him with a weak slap on the face and they left the scene laughing.
«You! Stop avoiding me! Come back here!» Mikoto was still busy following the slippery boy who, resigned to her persistence, decided to stop and listen her.
«So, Biri-Biri… you really want to tell me what trouble you have done. Can't you spare us the embarrassment? Me and Index are in a hurry. It's raining a lot too!» Touma exclaimed with a sigh.
«I'll tell you once again, I'm Misaka-san for you! Do you forget it everytime we meet? Mi-sa-ka-san! This said… I actually did no trouble this time, instead, I saved my friend! Well, it wasn't only m- AH! Oh no! Fran-san?!» Misaka turned back immediately trying to find Fran but she forgot she walked very far away from the wind turbines already.
«Fran-san?» Touma asked unaware.
«How could I forget like this?! What a lame and vile impression after all he did for me and Kuroko! Aaaaagh! I'm going back looking for him! You damned idiot… it's all your fault!» Misaka threw a tiny lighting against Touma's feet then left running.
«I will never understand what is going on in her brain… let's go, Inde-huh… she is gone too… SUUUUCH MISFORTUNE!»
Rain was falling stronger and stronger and roads became flooded. Fran was too busy running to notice a slippery step below him, he fell and rolled down some stone stairs leading to a field of grass facing on an overflowing river due to the storm. The arm cast broke, leaving Fran's limb exposed and, due to the fall, the boy left the grip on his mouth.
A large amount of black liquid gushed out of his face and become one with the one already poured out of his eyes before; that weird fluid and thick shadow, so different from the ones Fran crafts, united and turned into an half-human and half-insect shape: she had a long skirt covering her frightening lower body that was a huge and sharpened stinger, wasp's wings coming out of her dress while her arms were still looking human; the scariest thing though, was her face: her maw was replaced by wasp's mandible while her eyes and hair remotely recalled Misaka's.
Fran recovered from the fall and coughed; as he stood up again and looked at that thing, his legs started shaking and he backed off terrorized.
«I knew it… I recognized this feeling… it happened again, damn it… luckily, this time nobody seems to be around.» He said, suddenly stopping and clenching his fists.
The shadow shape first looked at the palm of her own hand, then she brought it on her face to touch her features and eventually she moved forward, floating towards the soaking wet boy.
«You grew up a lot since last time…» that thing said, even her voice was really similar to Mikoto's but it had weird shrill vibrations in hers that made it annoying and stunning.
«What?! You can talk now…?» The boy asked surprised.
«I did not know I could do it either, my dear Fran… this is the result of your growing, my power grew stronger along… as your inner feelings!
«Why do you appear everytime I feel so… so…» Fran wasn't brave enough to say the word; he was too scared of what was going to happen, it wasn't his first time.
«Worthless. Meaningless. Superfluous. This is how you felt a while ago, am I right? This feelings feed me…» that thing said.
«Begone! How can I not cancel you even if you're one of my shadows?!» Fran tried to make her dissolve, but it was not working.
«You want me to go already? Don't you want me to get you out of trouble like three years ago?»
«I never asked you for help! Why are you here? Why do you talk? What the hell are you really?!»
«Eheheheh… those are questions only you know the answer. Instead, though… I will explain you why you are nothing but a liar…» The shadow approached Fran nearer but he backed off again.
«A liar?! I think I can be called many ways now but being a liar is the last thing I think of me!»
«Liar!» She yelled suddenly covering Fran's words, intimidating him to death. «All you do is lying to yourself… since you were a little kid. You claim to love insects so much… then why are you so terrorized by me, by wasps?» The shape asked as she showed her huge stinger under her floating skirt; Fran did not answer and got on fighting stance.
«I'm not afraid of you! I can defeat you by myself! Go, Scolopendra!» Fran ordered to his own shadow to turn into a centipede but nothing happened and the boy, clueless, couldn't explain why.
«How can you be so surprised…» that thing intervened. «You just got stung by dozens of wasps… you won't be able to use your power for a while…»
«You can use my own ability on me?!» Fran asked incredulous.
«Your own? You mean ours… eheheheh…» she laughed.
«Shut up! You have nothing to do with me!»
«Liar.» she repeated creepy. «You used our power to be such a liar… you help and save people and what do you actually receive in return? After all this time living in illusions, you are finally aware of what you really are: worthless!
«It may be true I felt like that… but, I-»
«Why do you keep lying?! Now you finally opened your eyes! Do you need more certainties? Alright, I'll be glad to give them to you… I'll show you how your presence here never had a meaning!»
«I… was meaningless?»
«Exactly. Just think about it… let's talk about Misaki-san, for example… if you weren't here, she would have never met someone able to negate her mind control and your useless saving would have never happened. Also, Misaka-san never needed you, Kamijou Touma is already here ready to save her whenever she wants… you are no use here.»
«It's not true! That girl… Ayuzawa Akiko… thanks to me she was able to make her dream come true and be with her loved one!» Fran exclaimed, interrupting that thing.
«Liar!» she said once again. «You too know it was needless! He would've came… Kamijou Touma. All you know about him is true… he defeated Accelerator, saved Misaka-san and he would've helped Ayuzawa too if only such a worthless being like you wasn't there making everything riskier and painful. What do you not get of the word meaningless? It means you're replaceable, while he isn't… the fact Misaka-san not even looked at you once he came isn't maybe the most indisputable proof? You are as transparent as this rain drops. Once you fall on the ground, nobody will remember which one you were in all this dirty mud.» hearing those words, destroyed and broken, Fran fell on his knees and looked at his reflection in a puddle.
«Why? How can all I did turned to be useless? Why do my heart hurt so much?» Fran said with low voice, distraught and unable to move.
The shadow, finally obtained Fran's helplessness, approached him and caressed his face eventually putting one hand on his shoulder.
«Don't be sad… I'm not evil, I'm here to help.» she said kindly.
«To help…me?» the boy repeated, visibly incapable of thinking.
«You are worthless because you still did not find the purpose of your existence. The reason why you won't be replaceable. The motive you will always be remembered… just think about it, you helped so many people and in all those saves it wasn't really necessary it was actually you to save them. Everybody else could have done it… there's only a thing nobody can do better than you. A thing that will leave a unique mark on their body…» That thing explained as she gently touched Fran's hair with the other hand.
«What is?!» the boy asked in despair.
«Kill. Kill them all.» as she was pronouncing those words, the shadow face turned more and more scarier and similar to a wasps than a human. «You have to serve a shadow soldier's duty. Shadows don't save people, they suffocate them. When you were a kid and you were seeing a frightening wasp flying around your toys, what was your answer? You smashed and killed it. Once dead, once not moving, nothing scares you anymore, right? What are you waiting for then? Just kill them a-» Fran hit the shadow's hands and backed off quickly with a nice jump.
«Don't think… I'll ever listen to you. I'm not killing anybody.» the boy, now clear minded, replied with decision but the shadow burst out laughing frantically.
«Liar.» She said the umpteenth time. «You have already forgotten what you did three years ago? When you killed for the first time… it's time to do it again.»
«You are the liar now! I never killed… you did it. I… did not want to…» Fran exclaimed furiously, clearly moved by some gruesome memory popped up in his mind.
«But I'm you… I'm the real you, the one you refuse to accept… stop pretending to be a hero, I'm so tired to serve someone who uses his power the wrong way…» as she was talking, her face was turning back to her original Mikoto-like form.
«You are not me… you're just a display of my inner fears, as your wasp looking body confirms… I just have to learn how to make you go away forever… but it's so weird, you only show up when I feel so… so…»
«Worthless. Meaningless. Superfluous. And this is how you'll keep feeling if you don't listen to me. Start from somewhere easy! Kill Kamijou Touma!» that thing ordered aggressively.
«Shut up and go away! I won't kill anyone! My power can't! You just keep spitting nonsense! My shadow cannot kill anyways!» Fran replied.
«Your shadows won't be the ones that kill. YOU will! If you have not enough guts to kill Kamijou Touma… then just kill that stupid Misaka Mikoto for how she dared leaving you hanging! You are the only one who could… deprive her of her power through your shadows attack then choke her from the neck and tighten the grasp as strong as you can… her saliva will start pouring out, her eyes will cry for your mercy and she will try to wiggle away in vain… start laughing and she will have her skirt wet too, eheheheh… she has a tiny middle schooler body, it will be so easy you will enjoy it. Once she stops moving, you will know you did an excellent job. Eheheheh… just make her feel what you felt a while ago, but hundred times worst. Kill her. Kill her… KILL HER! EHEHEHEHEH! I'll teach you the ways!» The shadow said while acting a very creepy scene of a strangulation on her own body. It was so disgusting and scary that Fran felt the urge to vomit, but he held it.
«Don't ever dare again… don't you dare mention Misaka Mikoto with your ugly mouth! I can even be a failure forever… but I will never kill anybody, not even enemies. Keep that in mind, this is a promise.» Fran said, bringing his fist on his heart.
«If you refuse to kill to be noticed and remember… for what reason do you think you deserve to live?» that thing's skirt dissolved and the monstrosity flew at sonic speed in front of Fran who, abilityless and unable to dodge due to the tiredness, got his heart harpooned by the gigantic stinger; the shadow violently retracted her stinger out of his body and backed off slowly.
Fran knew what awaited him after that attack, they were his own powers after all; the hit, though, was a really devastating one because it was aimed to the heart and Fran, despite being an esper and therefore having a stronger resistance to the life drain of the shadow, turned to feel fully exhausted and defeated. The bad luck made him unaware to be really close to the river's edge because of him getting further from that thing; he slipped into the water and sunk in the swollen river while the evil shadow was dissolving in a satisfying laugh.
«I don't even have enough strength to keep my eyes open… I won't be able to get out.» Even if Fran knew the waters weren't deep enough and he would have been safe by simply standing up, his power deprived him of every drop of his energy. «Not only I was worthless in life… but I'm also going to have a pathetic death. Nobody will know how I ended up in this situation and everybody will think I was goofy enough to slip into the water or, worst, that I suicided… I feel so ashamed. I'm so worthless my own subconscious turned into shadow preferred killing me instead of being alive along with me… and in the end, just as she said, I will be replaced anyways… well, at least we have a silver lining… down here nobody will notice my face was wet because I'm crying, eheheheh…» These sorrowful thoughts accompanied Fran as he was losing his consciousness and getting pulled away by the current; that night, it never stopped raining.
-
«Well then… afterlife exists, I see.» Fran opened his eyes, but he couldn't really distinguish shapes and colours. Light was dim, coming from a cheap lamp on the ceiling of the room, the window was closed but you could hear the noise of the wind knocking on the glass and see the clouds leaving the sky. The boy looked around and noticed to be lying on a bed, someone sitting next to him was intensely looking at him; once he could finally focus his sight, Fran saw the Tokiwadai logo on the girl's wearing, who was also looking familiar.
«M-Misaka-san?» he asked incredulous at the sight of that one person who was strangely seeming to have harsher and milder eyes than usual.
«No. I'm her sister. Answers Misaka, used to be mistaken as Onee-sama.»
«A c-clone?!» Fran asked again, rubbing his eyes. «So this is the materialization of my afterlife? Maybe Misaki-san was right… maybe I just really wanted the cloning formula to obtain a Misaka who would've taken care of me…»
«It's all right. You're not dead. Says Misaka stating the obvious.
«Incredible… she is so kind and realistic she tries to convince me I'm not actually dead. Fran-san… is this what you really wished for? What many more weird perversions my mind still hides? What will it be the next thing she is going to do for me…?» Fran exclaimed, turning insanely red because of naughty thoughts.
The clone sighed and approached Fran, sitting on the bed next to him and laying a finger of his naked chest; a powerful but quick electric shock made Fran jump off his bed, falling electrocuted on the floor and with his hair completely raised up.
«Since you seem someone tough to convince by words only, I hope this is enough. Says Misaka trying to hold back from killing him for real.»
«Ehy! Have you gone mad?! It hurts a lot! You did not hold back for- wait… it hurts? Am I actually alive?» Fran stood up angry and shaking but once he realized what he felt, he stopped moving and looked at his own hands and body; he noticed he was shirtless and wearing some hospital withe trousers.
«How can it be…? I can remember very well I was drowning in the river and I hadn't enough strength to stand up…» Fran thought, incapable to explain how he ended up in that clinic. «I also feel better than before, both my injuries on the arm and the leg look healed! It's nonsense!»
«What a loud one! Don't you know we are in a hospital?» a bald and old man joined the room, he looked like a doctor from there.
«Hospital?» Fran asked.
«Yeah, boy. Yesterday, this reckless lady in front of you came here running, carrying you on her back so we managed to save you in time.» the doctor told.
«Don't make it seem something difficult. This boy is so thin he probably weights less then this Misaka does, I probably helped some homeless man… eheheheh… Laughs Misaka, imagining this guy with a long beard and a cup of loose change.»
«Yo! Stop making fun of me! Give me back my clothes, instead!» Fran exclaimed embarrassed, covering his chest and torso trying to hide the absence of muscles.
«I see you already get along! Well, you can ask for your clothes at the reception and a nurse will bring them to you. Now I have to go, I have many other patients to check. Remember to fill the paper over there with your personal data before leaving. What's your name, boy?» the man asked as he pointed to the paper.
«You can call me Fran…» he answered hesitant.
«Fran-san! Perfect… I hope to never see you again, Fran-san… at least not here. Bye!» the doctor said, then he happily left the room.
«What a peculiar guy… and he is also a doctor.» Fran thought aloud.
«Gekota doctor is a very valid one, despite his appearance. Just like you, we owe him much too. Reveals Misaka.»
«About revealing… can I know how the hell did you find me? Well, how did you find me still alive actually?»
Fran asked, now relaxed and calmed down after accepting the weird situation he suddenly ended up in.
«This Misaka had the order to go check what happened nearby that wind turbines square, since we noticed some unusual magnetic waves recalling Onee-sama's to our mind. Misaka ran there as quick as she could but the electricity rays already disappeared once she arrived. The moment I was leaving, I saw a guy running away in a hustle and random directions so I had a bad feeling. Tells Misaka, pointing her index towards the guy she is talking about.»
«Y-you saw me running? Did you follow me the whole time…?» Fran asked worried, he was concerned the clone witnessed to everything that shadow thing did to him.
«I tried, but you were insanely fast for some unknown reason. Misaka immediately lost you from her sight and the storm made everything more difficult. Luckily, you were bleeding a lot and, even if the rain was cleansing them fast, I still managed to follow the elusive blood drops. Explains Misaka, looking proud of her stalking techniques.»
«Luckily, huh?» Fran intervened upset.
«Don't interrupt Misaka, story is not over yet. I have to admit I felt lost at some point and I couldn't find you anymore. Actually, the fact I saved you is just a fortunate event and not something I achieved. I was giving up the chase because I couldn't find you anywhere but, passing by the river, my visor found a presence of heat slowly cooling down and getting dragged away by the waters. You can imagine how the story ends by yourself. Says Misaka, ending her narration with a very cool catchphrase.»
«Yeah… you found me just in time, so lucky.» Fran replied with the first decent words he could have thought of; he was only interested to know the clone did not watch the arguing he had with that thing, it would have been too dishonourable and pathetic to bear.
«Well. Now that I finished, it's my turn to make questions. Why were you drowning in that river? I can understand you being a starving homeless man, but even the weakest of them could have manage to get out by himself. Were you going to take off your life? Asks Misaka, now turning serious due to the gravity of the main topic.»
Fran really wanted to reply to the clone with a joke too, but he preferred staying silent watching the floor.
«I see. It's a secret. Misaka won't blame you if you don't want to answer.»
«Why did you save me? You don't even know who I am. You also wasted time and energies to randomly follow me.» Fran asked.
«I know enough. I know you are someone who likes to ask but not to answer other people's questions. Underlines Misaka shrugging.»
«Tsk… do what you want. In the end, knowing it changes nothing to me. It was just my stupid curiosity.» Fran took the phone and asked for his clothes.
«Are you already leaving? Asks Misaka, noticing the hurry with witch her interlocutor talks to her.» few minutes later, the nurse gave the boy all of his belongings.
«I decided to leave Gakuen Toshi forever. There will never be a place for me here, I'm not wanted.» Fran answered late, hiding behind a curtain to change his clothes. «As I suspected… my phone was not waterproof. Luckily, I can still recover my SD with data and contacts. I will tell Yomikawa about my departure in person…» Fran was fully dressed up now; his arm felt a little numb but he was able to fully wear his grey cape again.
«You are not from here? Why have you come then? Asks Misaka impertinent.» the clone's words moved Fran's mind, that was still only focused on finding a way to run away from the terrible certainties he realized the evening before; what is more important to me, he was asking himself, my duty or my feelings.
«I came here for a really relevant reason… but even in that case, they showed me there was already someone else more qualified than me dealing with it… I came here to write my own new future, I wanted to see if the strongest creature of the vessel had a chance to fight the animals of the wild… but I underestimated the autonomous reality of this city… everything I would do from now on would be no use, people from here already have someone who they can count on… she was right, after all I am nothing but a replaceable character.» Fran knew he could've now said that word without worries, his heart was broken but peaceful; not a form of sorrow could've awaken the shadows inside of him, because they were his own reality now.
«Liar.» that word, this time pronounced by the clone, made Fran remember all the horrible insults the shadow threw at him so he started shaking and cold sweating.
«Don't… don't start you too, please.» he said looking to the clone with regret.
«Me too? This means someone else already tried to tell you that your thoughts are wrong. You only make excuses. The real reason you are running away is because you are scared. States Misaka without wavering, fully aware of how the boy feels.»
«I don't know how can you claim to be aware of what I feel… enough, I'm leaving.» Fran checked the paper was fully complied and so he was prepared to leave the room.
«You pretend you don't understand? You know I'm right. You are scared to confront others and the world you live in. You think someone like me could never understand your feelings? Instead, I already lived them. I am a clone, I can be made by the simple movement of a finger pressing a button. We Sisters are fully identical 'till the tiniest cell of our body, so you can easily agree with me that there is nothing more replaceable then me, yet… one day, a boy told me there is one and only me in the entire world and this opened mine and all Misaka Network's eyes. We now refuse to consider any of us remotely replaceable, so how can we even think to consider anybody else. We were born alone, but now there is someone who would cry if we weren't made. We are real sisters of her now… but deserving this name was not easy and costed us a lot, ten thousand lives to be precise… it was an agony, but we claimed our place in the world in the end. This is the truth, and this is also your fear. You are not bold enough to suffer as much as needed to gain your own place so you decided to leave, and not because you're not considered by others. You are the first one who doesn't. Says Misaka with such an unusual long speech for her but filled with honest emotions she tries to share with this boy too strict and unfair to himself.»
Fran stood still and silent, he wasn't ready to accept what the clone said but he couldn't ignore the will and the soul with which she conveyed her feelings.
«You sisters are really weird… first you save me and then you lecture me, like you really care about an unknown foreigner.» Fran replied, trying to switch into sarcasm.
«We don't know who you are and why you came, but you named Onee-sama and you knew the clones already. If you stand here still unharmed and not roasted, this means Onee-sama is one of your friends so we are now friends too. It may sounds stupid, but it's our instinct. We are used to save stray cats like you, eheheheh. Answers Misaka with an irony of such an higher level than this rookie man's.» Fran was impressed by the fact that being called friend made him relaxed and glad, felling safe, but he tried to hide the appearance.
«Well, just do what you want. I'm still going.» Fran opened the door but stopped before leaving to say one last thing. «Before saying goodbye, imprint this one thing in the Network: If you ever meet a dark blue hair and yellow eyes girl who's face looks like a depressed fish and who keeps talking about rainbows and unicorns… stay as far away as possible from her, don't ever talk to her and overall never listen to a word! Ever! Got it?»
«Misaka does not understand this complain but she will remember. Bye Bye.» the clone waved her hand lazy and Fran left to hospital going to Yomikawa's office.
«Unbelievable. It's 5 P.M already. That stinger hit knocked me out for both the entire night and next morning. Not only I skipped class, but I'm late for my Judgment shift. My phone was also out of reach because of the water… whatever, nobody would ever worry about me anyways. Nobody had called me, for sure… Here we are.» Fran entered in the Anti-Skill building and started walking to the reception to ask for Yomikawa but he stopped before joining the line.
«Maybe I should go say goodbye to the Judgment office first. Yomikawa will be here later too. Uiharu-san and Konori-senpai were really kind to me… Kuroko too seems to have accepted me in the end… I mean, a little bit, maybe… I'm going there first.»
Fran decided to go to the office but, suddenly, he heard some female screaming breaking into the chaotic city noises; a reckless little girl went collecting one of her toys from the road without noticing a car was going to run her down.
«Nobody panic! Yours truly will handle this, Kongou Mitsuko!» the girl used her power to dash instantly to the kid's position, she grabbed her and saved her from the danger; Kongou's wind dash though, was so powerful they both flew on another road where a huge truck driven by a guy that wasn't even watching was going to hit them. Maybe the Tokiwadai girl would have been able to save herself and the little girl by hitting the truck with another strong wind attack, but in that case it would have been the driver the one paying the consequences, possibly fatal ones.
«Here's another one. A casual hero who ended up failing miserably. What will she choose now? Will she take her responsibilities for her carelessness and die with the kid? Or will she kill the driver and eventually live the rest of her life with the excuse and burden of the "last choice inevitable action"? Why can't anybody mind his own business? Why does everyone feel the need to show off instead of letting the ones who are in charge doing their duty? It would be amazing watching the end of this show, but… maybe next time.» Fran thought as he kept walking straight and undaunted, leaving all of this behind him. The traffic light's pole shadow combined and turned into a long and thin centipede that rolled around Kongou's leg and pulled her out of the road together with the little girl, safely landing on the sidewalk; the driver, still unaware of what happened, kept walking straight eventually disappearing in the traffic.
«Even if I was really curios to see who would have replaced me this time… take this as my last gift, Gakuen Toshi.»
