His First kiss
Princess Aviva was stunned that she froze up. Kolton wrapped his arms around Lilly embracing her as kissed her passionately. As she felt his hand began to wonder down her back she punched him square him the jaw. breathless her face was red as she coughed before glaring at him. kolton jumped back holding his face, " oow. what was that for?" princess was upset and confused. " you-u...you tried to suffocate me," she yelled.
Bethany was on duty today to secretly watch the two. she held back her laughter as she watched to two. a little harmless romance wouldn't hurt the princess as her days were sadly number.
" I did not. I kissed you as I thought you...was coming to kiss me" he said shyly. " and why would I kiss you?" she said still confused regarding what a kiss was. it wasn't something she saw or ever experienced. " to thank me for teaching you," he said. " is that what it means to kiss?" she asked slightly embarrassed. Kolton smiled as he realized how his next choice of words could benefit him. " yes when you want to thank someone you kiss them. however you usually do it with someone special like a close friend, someone you like or someone that is teaching you an important lesson or skill..." Kolton said. " so...I should kiss my guards...they teach me lots of things and the inn keeper and baker" he stopped her. " lily not strangers...kissing is like when your the most thankful to a person and when words are not enough. you don't want to cheapen it. if you go around kissing everyone it will lose its meaning. all those people have already accepted your words and praise. they were fine with it right?" princess Aviva was taken aback but she nodded. ," a kiss is special. I kissed you because your special to me. I don't go around kissing everyone. well you can kiss your parents but you do it on the cheeks okay. same with your guards because they protect you. you can also kiss them on the cheek. " princess Aviva was still alittle confused but she nodded. Kolton grabbed her hands as he pulled her close to him. " am I special to you as you are to me?" princess Aviva smiled weakly. " no....I am thankful to you but I-I don't think you that special to me. only Robert is that special. " she said with a sad smile. " I see...and where is this Robert?Is he not traveling with you?" Kolton said firmly as he was ready to challenge any person for her hand. " he is in heaven..." princess Aviva said gripping his hand tightly as she looked down. " I see...." Kolton was not expecting that answer but he was a bit relieved. " well I'm sure he is watching you from there and hoping you make new friends...and having new experiences. " princess Aviva nodded before looking up at him. Two more tears dropped down her face as she tried to smile." he would be so pride of how far I have come and all the cool things I will get to do. " Kolton nodded as her let her hand go and pull her into another hug before kissing her forehead then kissing her lips.
This time princess Aviva didn't hit him as she felt his embrace was comforting. as she kissed him back they heard someone clear their throat loudly. they both separated instantly as Bethany came into the room.
" this doesn't look like practice ... Kolton," she said as she looked at the bulleyes on the wall and broken arrows. "we were celebrating sorry. it won't happen again. I think since she has finally gotten the hang of it. maybe one more day in here then she can practice on cans....." Bethany smiled. " lady lily doesn't have much time she needs to be able to shoot and ride a horse at the same time before the end of the month. if not she will need to find a new teacher," she said staring him down. " I can have her doing it in two weeks there is no better teacher then me," he said challenging her stare. " two weeks I'll hold you too...dont get distracted you two " she said as she left. Kolton sigh nervous as he looked at lily." how often do your guards watch our session?" Lily looked at him innocently , " they always do. haven't you noticed?" she said as she walked away from him to grabbed the bow. " not really but....they are right. let's train and make you the best." Lily smiled and nodded.
