Daniel:
Sometimes I wondered if this was what my parents wanted my life to be. Maybe they never wanted me. I touched my necklace as if to get a little comfort from it but I felt nothing. Plain and non-existent was how it felt. It only made me sad to the point I could almost cry.
I felt the cold air brush against my skin as I walked to school. I reached the school gate and put my head down to avoid any drama that might happen today. I reached my locker and put all my books in. I closed it and almost screamed when I saw the person I was trying to avoid all day.
Speak of the devil!
'I see you made it to school today', Alex said moving closer to me while I took a step back. I felt my back hit the locker. Oh no! I immediately put on a pleading face praying he doesn't hurt me today. I already had injuries from this morning. 'Why don't you just die. Nobody needs or cares about you. Your just a waste of air', he spat in my face. He was right. Nobody cares. Nobody needs me. Everyone had gathered with their phones recording the whole thing. I was just entertainment to them. Nothing more.
He punched my stomach and I fell down holding my side as I felt the pain from the bruises there. I couldn't hold back the tears as it poured on my face. 'Everyone look he's crying', he laughed and bent down to my level. I Shifted a little afraid he might hit me again. 'Whats going on here?', I heard a deep voice. it was familiar but I knew he wasn't someone that will help me. I felt something on my hand and looked at it.
Blood!
Alex then moved my hand to look at my wounds. He looked at me with shock. 'I didn't do that', he said. From the corner of my eye I saw David moving through the crowd of people. He looked at me then at my bruised body. His eyes showed pity then anger. He immediately went for Alex and pushed him on the lockers holding his neck. 'I told you not to touch him', David said angrily.
'I... didn't do that. I swear', Alex said in between breaths. David tightened his hold on Alex's neck and his face became pale. David looked over at me again. 'Everyone leave', he said in a low aggressive tone. It didn't take two minutes before everyone was gone. David looked at Alex again and removed his hand on his neck.
He walked towards me and helped me up leading me out of the school. I was in too much pain to ask . He put me in the passenger seat in front and closed the door. He entered the other side and started the car. We drove in silence. It was really uncomfortable because there were so many things I wanted to ask.
I looked over at him to see he was more relaxed than before. He kept one hand on the steering wheel and the other on his lap. I studied his features for a while before I looked to the window. I'm sure he already knew I was looking. I mean he's so good looking . I took a deep breath and touched my necklace again.
My eyelids felt heavy as I laid my head on the seat. 'Daniel!', he said with a more calmer tone before I closed my eyes giving in to the sleep.
