David:
I did it. I finally did. I thought he might protest but he responded eagerly as if he also had been longing for this kiss. As I felt the shortage of air in my lungs, I pulled away. He looked really cute when he blushes.
'Get ready. You need to eat', I said walking toward the door. He nodded in response and I walked outside of his room closing the door behind me. I walked downstairs to see my mom clearing the dining. 'Is he okay?', she asked as her face squeezed into a worried expression.
'Yes is fine just a nightmare'. I sat down taking a sip of my coffee. 'Sooner or later you gonna have to talk to him you know'. I sighed. 'Yes mom. I'm gonna talk to him. I hope he'll be able to trust me and open up to me'. 'Im sure he'll be able to trust you', she said bending down to my level to kiss my cheek.
'I should probably get going. Remember don't push him to talk. Give him time'. I nodded waving her as she walked out of the door. 'See ya'. Minutes later, Daniel came downstairs and eat breakfast. We both ate in silence. None of us saying anything but sharing side glances. 'I want to go back to my house', he said breaking the silence. 'Why?'. 'I just want to see'.
I know it wasn't safe going then but he gave me those pleading eyes. 'Fine but I'm coming with ya'. He smiled. 'Sure'. I carried both of our plates and washed them out. Taking my black leather jacket, I walked to the car. Daniel entered his side while I entered mine starting the car. 'I think I should tell you something', I said to Daniel who immediately looked at me. 'Okay. I'm listening'. I took a deep breath, 'Your uncle killed your parents'.
He looked like he was trying to process what I just said. 'You can't be serious?', he laughed. 'Im serious. He murdered them. The knife evidence was there in his house. I'm sorry'. He didn't look at me. He just started at the road and fiddled with his necklace. I often wondered why he always wore it.
Reaching his house I parked the car in his drive way and looked at him to see he was still staring outside. I tapped his shoulder lightly and he looked at me with a questioning look. 'We are here'. He looked around and saw we were at his house. He opened his door and walked into the house. 'Hey wait', I said opening my door and walking into the house.
Everything was scattered around everywhere. The chairs where broken and the tables turned over. Daniel immediately took a step back towards me. He held my hand tightly not wanting to let go. I led him towards the secret room and he looked around. 'So where's the knife?'. 'Its not here anymore. The police took it'. He sighed, 'All this time I was living with a murderer'.
He pushed down the table and it fell. 'Hey calm down okay. Breathe', I said pulling him away from the table. He was cut of by some shattering sounds. 'What is that?'. He asked grabbing my shirt. 'I don't know', I shrugged, 'Wait here'. I walked out of the room to go investigate what broke when Daniel immediately screamed and ran out of the room towards me hiding behind me. 'What is it?'. He pointed shakingly at something. I looked in front to see a big black rat.
I couldn't help but laugh out loudly. He slapped my arm and looked away embarrassed. 'Its just a rat'. I pointed to the creature which ran away in fear. 'But it climbed me', he said taking a hold of my shirt one more. I chuckled taking his hand. 'I think we've seen enough here. Let's go'. I dragged him with me towards the car and closed his side for him. Entering my side and starting the car, I drove off....
