The secret stairs

Cautiously trudging up the dark entangled staircase barley able to see each step before encountering it she eagerly fantasized what she might find.

Maybe I'll find a trunk full of pictures, or a nice necklace that was just made for me.

Emerging at the top of the staircase it was revealed a large room and within the room the first thing that she noticed was fake grass in the center of the room and a skylight directly above it.

Attached to the room is a balcony and their Bethany's eyes lay on a figure leaning out over the railing. Not having expected to see anyone up here she quietly sneaks into the room aiming for a well covered corner to observe the mysterious figure from.

She watches the figure walk the floor in a nonlinear pattern while reciting an exert from Illusion and reality.

"What is seen is not the Truth

What is cannot be said

Trust comes not without seeing

Nor understanding without words

The wise comprehends with knowledge

To the ignorant it is but a wonder

Some worship the formless God

Some worship His various forms

In what way He is beyond these attributes

Only the Knower knows

That music cannot be written

How can then be the notes

Says Kabir, awareness alone will overcome illusion"

Thinking quietly to oneself on the meaning behind those words which he spoke with such passion and yet restraint. Whilst pondering she notices by the way he holds himself that he appears to be visually impaired and on an abstract collision course heading straight for her and repeating slowly:

"What is seen is not the Truth

What is cannot be said

Trust comes not without seeing

Nor understanding without words...."
