CHAPTER 21

I'm trapped inside Kayle's cliche wall slam technique. As much as I want to be feel embarassed right now, I'm cringing rather than getting flustered.

"I won't let you see my as a baby boy anymore~"

He whispered right into my right ear. He's trying to be alluring by murmuring that to me.

Is this the part where I should be blushing hard right now?? But then...

Try again, Kayle!

"...I see...then please be gentle with me from now on, alright?"

He immediately look at my face shocked after I answered him back. This time, I'm the one trying to be seductive.

Two can play at that game! Play fire with fire!

"...What?"

My lips curled upwards after I saw him blushing a bit. 

"I will leave everything to you, then.."

I even pouted at him trying my best to do a puppy eye.

Ack, gross! I'm grossed at myself but I'm doing this to fight Kayle.

"You...ah! Stop!"

I saw him blushed even more, he even covered his face using both of his hands.

"Hahaha! You thought you got me?! You're a hundred years away my league!"

"Argh! Fine you won!"

Kayle looks like a tomato right now. You're the one trying to make me flustered but you dug your own grave.

Well yeah...I am the type of person who easily fangirls but when clichè things like this happens, it makes me want to smack my head a million times.

I tried reading a comic book before in my past life and the clichè wall slam technique is overrused that it's making me cringe so much.

The heroine tends to get embarrassed with this technique but I'm different! Hahaha! Praise me!

"Sister!!"

We heard Kaylette's small voice. She's running towards us with open arms.

"Kaylette!!"

The two of us are running towards each other in slow motion. Kayle even muttered something before scratching his head.

"Idiot"

He said before walking away from us while I'm walking in slow motion and spreading my arms.

"Don't ruin our moment"

I told him before finally hugging Kaylette.

"Well then, we'll be going now"

Aunt Illiana told us before leaving with their carriage.

"And what are you still doing here..?"

I glared at Kayle who was also waving at them beside me.

"Huh? I told aunt Inanna that I'll be staying here overnight"

He smirks at me before going inside and showing his suitcase with extra clothes in it.

"Great...just great"

Father went home a bit earlier this time so we went to have dinner with him.

"So Kayle, I heard your mother is fully recovered! I'm glad to hear that"

Father told Kayle who was eating beside me. I still feel at awe whenever I saw a bunch of delicious food on the table.

Ahhh...I'm glad I'm born as a rich noble here.

"Yes, after her illness about five years ago...she didn't experience anymore major illnesses after that...maybe it's because of the astralagus plant that she has been drinking, it cured her"

The doctor told aunt Illiana that it weren't for the help of the plant, proper ventilation and good hyigene then she might possibly die and Kaylette wouldn't have been born.

"Not really...the plant can help but that doesn't mean it can cure, the ventilation and proper hygiene plays a big part too! The virus should be prevented as much as possible"

I interrupted their conversation.

That's true though, it helps but not cure! I suggested that to aunt Illiana to help her condition before.

"...How did you know that, Delie...?"

Mother gave me a confused look which made everyone silent before turning to look at me. Ack! I'm such a show-off!

It's because I'm a nursing student before that I tend to think of a proper management for things like those!

"I...I like reading medical books! Hahaha"

Aw man, please let them believe my words!

"I see..I didn't know you like reading medical books"

Phew! I'm safe!

"By the way! David, how is your second year in the academy?"

Father turns his question to David who was just silently eating his meal.

"It was alright, my grades are decent"

"If you can get your grades higher, why not try studying harder?"

Mother told my brother and reminding him.

"That's not what I'm asking Inanna, I'm asking if he met his fiancé there"

Father grins asking David who shrugged his shoulders before replying.

"No..."

"Really? But she's really pretty!"

David didn't reply and just took a glass of water to drink.

Last year, my brother was sent a proposal from a daughter of a count. If our family agrees, they will give thirty-percent of their family's wealth to them every year even after ten generations. It seems like the daughter of that house has a huge crush on David.

David agrees immediately which made everyone shocked. We didn't think he'd agreed that easily but he said that the offer is good for the family that's why he agreed. He will succeed the family in the future too after all, so he wants to be the responsible one. He looks very unhappy though.

"Father, brother likes the girl from the bakery! You know, the blonde girl? Cordelia Bakery!"

Dahlia interrupted their conversation which made David almost spits his drink.

"David!"

Mother scolded David.

"I'm sorry..."

David apologized and coughed trying to hide his blushing face. I can see the plants and flowers in the table around the room blooming rapidly at the same time.

He's just shy hahaha. His powers really grew huh, the plants around him blooms whenever he feels embarassed or happy and it wilts when he is sad or angry.

"The baron's daughter? The Si Flora family doesn't really like going in public since they just became a baron...not much is known about that family"

Father told us.

"Does the family have golden blonde hair?"

"I don't know but I heard that the previous generation, the late baron's mother has golden blonde hair...that's all I know"

So the golden blonde hair didn't really came directly from the Si Flora family but from Cordelia's grandmother.

"Anyway, David...you have a fiance now so don't go around seeing other girls, alright?"

Father reminded David who just sighed before nodding.

The next day, I decided to visit the Cordelia Bakery since it's been a long time. I wonder how the cute little girl had turned into? She might look like a goddess right now! I hope she's there.

"Why did you suddenly decided to go there?"

Kayle asked me.

This boy said that he'll go home by morning but when he learned that I'm going somewhere, he told me that he wants to come with me.

"I thought you'll go home by morning!"

"I can't go home when I know that you'll be going with someone"

Kayle said with an irritated look.

"That's rude!"

I smacked his head lightly knowing that Anne and Arthur is riding the carriage with us. I saw Anne laughed but Arthur didn't say anything and keeps looking outside the window. I'm sitting beside Anne while Arthur and Kayle are sitting together not planning to have a conversation with each other.

Anne and I have plans today but I was surprised that Arthur came with her. I told Arthur that David is going somewhere important but he said that he is not there to see David and instead was hoping to come with us.

Kayle was about to go home at that time but he suddenly grabs me from behind and wraps his arms around me like a little boy clinging to his mother.

"Hey...I decided that I won't go home today! I'll come with you"

I was suprised by his sudden embrace that I banged the back of my head into his face.

"Ouch!"

I saw Arthur giving him a small glare but Kayle was obviously upset.

"Hello Arthur! Long time no see!"

Kayle reached his hand to Arthur for a handshake. Arthur didn't say anything and immediately grabs Kayle's hand.

"Long time no see..."

It's been a long time since we saw him. He was in living in the dorms at the academy, that's why.

These two actually finally met three years ago and their first impression in each other is not what I'm expecting. They stared at each other for a long time like an electric spark is coming out from their eyes.

I can see their hands squeezing each other now. It's the same when they first met.

"It's fun, right? Two boys fighting for your attention?"

Anne whispered to me.

"What the heck you talking about?"

I feel like a mother with two kids rather than a girl trapped in a love triangle. Also, Arthur is like an older brother to me while Kayle is like a younger brother.

It's hard to see these two as a man especially if they don't act like one.

"Enough you two, let's get inside the carriage now!"

I broke their squeezing each other's hand fight and told them to get inside the carriage.

Anne and I went to sit in the carriage first. Kayle suddenly sits beside me on my right side while Arthur sits beside my left side.

These two are trying to push each other even though I'm the one in the hardest position because these two are squishing me in the middle!

"Stop! Anne, sit with me! You two sit together!"

It's like I'm lecturing two kids. I'm used to Kayle but Arthur is unexpectedly being childish right now. These two are always like this whenever they meet each other.

Now, we're back to where we are. These two are looking away from each other.

"It's been a while since we went to that bakery, right? I wonder how it looks like now"

Anne asked me. Yeah, ever since our gifts unlocked, we really didn't get to go out that much since our classes had increase. We need to finish our basic education before we enter the academy since harder subjects are there and we can't go out since we will be living in the dorms.

"I'm excited, too bad...my brother and Dahlia can't come"

Dahlia had plans for today, she'll meet her friends for a tea party so she went out earlier. If she knew that Arthur will come, she definitely will go with us but still she's not the type of person who will cancel her long time plan for Arthur.

About David, I wonder where is that important place that he needs to go...

"We are here"

The coachman told us as we stop at a familiar place.

"Wow! It grew bigger!"

There's a second floor now!

"Let's go inside, Delie!"

Kayle instantly grabs my right arm.

"....."

Arthur suddenly grabs my left arm.

They gave each other a snarky look.

Not again...

"Come, Anne!"

I quickly remove their hands from my arm and went to grab Anne's arm instead. She just laughed.

The two were left together behind us. Even though I can't see their faces, I can feel them glaring at each other once again.

We went inside and saw a bunch of people again. It became more popular huh...

Then I heard a familiar quiet voice.

"Can you please give this to her?"

The man is giving white roses to the lady on the counter.

"But the young miss told me that she doesn't want to take anymore gifts from anyone-"

"I'm Dan, please give this to her and this letter"

"Oh! I see, so you're Dan? Alright, the young miss will be delighted to receive this"

The woman immediately took the flowers and letter from the man who keeps looking down. He is wearing an all-black clothes and a black scarf too.

"Delie, let's find a table"

Anne told me while she's looking for a table. The two boys behind us are busy glaring at each other.

I was focused on the man, I saw his body flinched when he heard my name and lowers his black newsboy cap.

"Excuse me, I need to go now"

He lowers his voice trying to make it sound different and walks hurriedly towards our direction still lowering his cap. You can fool me with your disguise but you cannot fool me with your voice.

"Anne, I forgot something in the carriage...can you find a table first? I'll come back inside soon"

I told Anne who just nodded.

"Sure"

I walk hurriedly towards the bakery's door right after I saw the mysterious man heading outside. Before he could go any further, I quickly grab his arm.

"?"

He didn't look at me even after I pulled his arm by force but I heard him gulped.

"What are you doing here? I thought you need to go somewhere important..."

He turns to look at me. His black hair and black eyes disguise is gone after I touched him.

"Ughh...you and your negation gift.."

He looks pissed.

"Now, can you tell me why you are here? Brother?"

And why are you trying to send roses and letters to Cordelia like the two of you already know each other so casually?
