"So you're Inanna's child?"

The dorm supervisor gave me a terrifying glare that is very similar to my mother's glare.

How does she know my mother?

She hurriedly went near me and stare at me from head to toe like she's trying to scan my whole body.

"I see where that brash action came from...earlier too today, I saw you running in the hallway after you came from the infirmary in the cyan building"

Ah...that...

She's the teacher who yelled at me for running in the hallway while I'm the middle of running away from the male lead.

"What did I expect from that Inanna's child? You two even share the same features, no wonder you look so familiar...you two look exactly the same"

Chill. Why is she so mad anyway? And why does she keep mentioning my mother?

It doesn't seem to be like they're friends since she looks so pissed saying things about my mother.

"I'm sorry, I won't do it again"

I bowed my head slightly but under that bow, my face already looks so bitter.

"Atleast you know how to apologize unlike her...you're lucky I'm on inspection today so I won't think of a way to punish you! Also, be sure to take a bath later"

She looks at the stain in my uniform.

"...I will..."

I told her before she leaves swaying her hips with her chin up.

"Ugh. What's her problem?"

I whispered with a bit of an annoyance.

"Hehehe, I know why"

Valerie giggles.

"Why? Did she and my mother had a misunderstanding before?"

Since she looks like she has a grudge towards my mother.

"Actually..."

Valerie whispered something to me which made me gasp because of shock but she immediately covers my mouth like she already knows what will be my reaction.

So that's why she is so angry with my mother!!

After dinner, each one of us went back to our dorm room. My friends almost spit their food after they heard that my roommate is Daphne Il Viva.

They even share their condolences on me which made me become annoyed at them.

I went back to my dorm room and heard another loud laughter coming from inside.

Don't tell me her followers are inside again?

I unlocked the door and see the two again.

Guess I was right.

"Oh, you're here"

Daphne gave me an eyebrow raise with her arms crossed.

They stopped laughing as soon as I came inside the room.

"Yes..."

I replied back in a soft voice before yawning and walk to my own room.

"How dare you yawn at the presence of Princess Daphne!"

The Helen girl shouted at me after I yawn infront of them.

You know what? I'm tired and I don't care.

"Come back!!"

The other girl named Xera called for me but I just ignored them shouting at me.

I took a quick bath on my room's own bathroom before changing myself into my short-sleeved light purple nightgown.

After changing into my nightgown, a buzzing sound came from one of my suitcases. I forgot to unpacked it in my room since my day is so haggard today and I fell asleep quickly earlier.

I hurriedly dig my stuff out from my suitcase and saw the hologram messenger's gems glowing.

I pressed the blue gem from above to operate it before putting it on the study desk from my room.

"Sister!!!"

The first person I saw in the hologram is my younger sister, Dahlia.

"Dahlia! Why did you call?"

"I miss you so much sister! I mean we! Mother keeps calling your name and was saddened to remember that you already went to the academ-"

Dahlia was interrupted by mother who signals her to stop since she feels so embarassed.

"Alright, alright. How's your first day at the academy?"

Mother coughed and changed the subject.

"It was alright..."

It was terrible!

"Are you properly behaving there?"

"Yes!"

I nodded.

"I heard that there's a new dorm supervisor there? I hope she isn't like the previous one who just let students wander around at night even after curfew"

Mother sighed.

"Don't worry mother, our dorm supervisor is actually very strict...she scolds every students who are not doing their manners properly"

I told her. She nodded smiling.

"That's good then, may I ask the dorm supervisor's name? We might become friends"

Should I really say her name? I feel uncertain knowing their past about each other but she did asked me so I should tell her.

"Her name is Countess Audrey Gu Hartfelt..."

I told her.

There's a long pause between us before her smile fades and turns into a gritted teeth.

"What?! That woman is now a dorm supervisor there?!"

She slammed the table infront of her which surprised me and Dahlia.

Are you wondering what Valerie told me earlier? Well...she told me that our dorm supervisor was actually childhood friend and former fiancee of my father and has liked him for a long time even before he met my mother at a banquet.

"What's wrong? You called Delie before me? No fair!"

We heard a sound of a familiar man behind mother and Dahlia.

"Father!"

"My sweet daughter! How are you?! Are you alright there?"

He quickly squished himself infront of the messenger between mother and Dahlia.

"I'm alright..."

"Good! So what are you three talking about?"

He asked mother who is just looking away.

"Father! We're talking about a woman named Audrey Gu-"

Dahlia was interrupted by mother.

"Dahlia!"

"Oops! Did I say something wrong?"

Dahlia worryingly asked mother.

"Audrey? I only know one Audrey, my childhood friend...hahaha! She used to scold me when we were young and gets angry when I'm talking to other girls"

Father laughed remembering his youthful days.

"That woman always likes to pull some pranks on me..."

Mother told us everything about her days in Bogdan Academy. The two of them always likes to sabotage each other. Like when Audrey throws her shoes on a pond, when mother puts bugs in her bag, when Audrey puts a paper on her back written 'I'm an ogre' which earned her nickname but mother countered it when she puts writes Audrey a 'I'm a beast' on her forehead when she's sleeping.

The two of them always competes in events. There are times too when the two of them went too far like having a fight in a party in the academy.

It was when she and father finally announced their engagement in the public. Mother laughs at her for losing so Audrey drops a plate full of pasta in her head saying 'Congratulations' so mother spills some punch juice in her face telling her 'Thank you'. Father told me that it was their biggest fight.

He even tried to stop the two but they were already having a fight before he could say something.

"So basically, you two are rivals"

I asked mother who shakes her head.

"No way! I won't consider that woman my rival! Besides, she's the one who started it"

She looks away clearly angry.

Father just laughed.

"So she's the rival you're taking about last ti-"

"Dahlia!"

Mother interrupted her again.

"Oops! Did I say something wrong again?"

"Just don't mind that woman, alright?"

Mother told me. I nodded.

"And make sure to do your best and show that woman that my daughter is excellent!"

I can see the flames in her eyes while she is busy rubbing her palms together.

Oh gosh...

Another person to be cautious off, just great.

I gave them my farewell, they told me that they will call David next. The two of us still haven't saw each other today even Arthur since this school is really huge.

A few days had passed, all we do in this school is tour since first years have no regular classes before the Acquaintance Party. Our tour guide today is our dorm supervisor who keeps glaring at me whenever we make eye contact.

The academy has their own farm, picnic ground, markets, restaurants and cafes, hospital, postal office and many more. It seems like you're inside a community instead of a school.

In this academy, the three founders originally established the academies for rich nobles only. I can't still believe that commoners were forced to seal their gifts and only need to buy it for them to re-unlock it.

Maybe that's why a lot of commoners hate the imperial family but if I remember, the crown prince wants to give the commoners their gifts back after he became the emperor so I liked that side of him except the fact that he is originally a sadist and a huge flirt inside.

This year is Year 395 meaning that it has been 395 years since the three academies were established. The heroine will enroll here at Year 397 according to my friend's awful novel.

Just why...? Why did my memory came back just when I already entered this academy?

"Hohoho! Is that you roommate?"

I heard someone behind me. I know I'm the one she's calling because she's my roommate.

"What the-?"

When I turn around, I saw the duke's daughter...Daphne Il Viva riding a litter vehicle with four women wearing sunglasses and formal black attire like those bodyguards you see on television.

"If you would, we need to pass so move out of the way! Shoo!"

She ordered me to move so that she can pass while our dorm supervisor is touring us.

"..."

I didn't say anything and just move out of the way. Daphne really does have a special treatment here, huh like they allowed her to have maids and bodyguards inside since she's the crown prince's fiancee.

This is so unfair.

She continues to laugh, if she told that to the heroine, Cordelia might already told her lines like...

'Even if you are the duke's daughter, you have no right to look down on other people!'

Like that lol.

Glad I'm not the heroine, I can't imagine myself saying those cringey words.

"Lady Daphne! You look tired, did you not sleep well?"

One of her followers asked her when they saw her dozing off.

"Oh! I'm just daydreaming about my dear prince~"

She told them raising her chin.

Really? But I saw her the other night when I woke up and peek at the door. She was busy writing something on a paper muttering...

'I must send the manuscript by this week'

Is she writing something?

If she does, I wonder what genre?

"Delie! Have you heard? The author of our favorite BL novel is going to publish a new novel! I wonder if it'll be good as the one before!"

Lianne told me looking excited.

"Really?"

"Yes, they said it's another BL novel! But the updates of the books will be slower now since the publishers said that the author will be a bit busier now"

"I see..."

Maybe it's going to be a hit again! I'll ask Sara to deliver the book if it releases!

I can't wait to read BL again!!

The next day, we gathered at a cafe inside the Academy. I'm craving for Cordelia's chocolate but it isn't available in any of the shops here!

"Anne, aren't you going to eat?"

Phia noticed that Anne has been silent and her talk is only limited to small words. She also didn't order anything aside from tea when she likes to eat like me before.

"No...I'm not that hungry! I need to go on a diet too! Hahaha!"

She laughs trying to hide her problem from the others too but the three only looked at each other and sigh.

"You know, Anne? We've been noticing your sudden change of attitude...what's wrong?"

Lianne crossed her arms and raised one of her eyebrows.

"Yes, I know you're hiding something..."

Phia also gave her a raised brow.

"What? Psshh! No! Do I look like I have a problem?"

Anne teased them trying so hard to hide their problem. Like before, she really is a good actress but I don't think it will work for our friends anymore.

"You're sweating a lot, you cannot look us directly in the eyes and your hands are shaking a bit...yes, you definitely are trying to hide something"

Valerie lowers the book she has been reading and face Anne who cannot look her in the eyes.

"Alright, fine! I do have a problem...! But...I don't think I can share it with you all yet"

Anne finally admits that she has a problem which made us sigh in relief.

"If you can't share it, it's alright...just remember we are always here for you, alright?"

Phia puts her hand on Anne's own hand and smiled at her. Lianne pats her head while Valerie pinch her cheeks.

"Thank you everyone, I promise I'll tell you when I'm ready!"

She begins to cry a bit and I gave her my handkerchief before she blows her nose on it.

Uhhh...

"Thank you"

"No, you can keep it"

I told her.

After that, we talk about the upcoming Acquaintance Party and that you need to go with your roommate when you enter the banquet hall of the academy.

"Wait, so I'll have to go with Daphne?"

I asked them.

"Yes, you will"

They all said at the same time.

"By the way, can I ask how can we prepare for the party if we don't have any maids inside?"

Since you know, Sara is the one dressing me up and doing my make-up

"Don't worry, the academy has hairdressers and gown markets you can rent"

Oh yeah, that explains it.

I told them that I'll just use some ballgown that I took with me from my home and that I won't buy a new one.

I went back to my dorm room and as expected, the followers are there again but I just ignored them and went to my bedroom after dinner. They are all so noisy that I can't sleep properly, I want to bang my head.

The next morning which is the day before the party. I was sleeping peacefully in my own bedroom.

I can hear small footsteps and the sound of heels clacking on the floor before a loud horn is placed right into my head.

"Ahhhh!!!"

I fell down in my bed and hit my butt into the floor.

"Wake up, roomie! Time to go shopping!"

"What? Shopping?"

I rubbed my eyes and saw Daphne smirking at me.

How did she even get inside my room?!

And what does she mean by going shopping?
