CHAPTER 32

"What are you doing here?"

Arthur asked me looking surprised as I am.

"No, what are YOU doing here?"

I just asked him back his question.

"Me...I'm..."

It seems like he was hesitating to answer me but I got a hint why he is here infront of the cooking club. He is wearing a purple apron, exactly the right color I want and has a cooking club badge on attach to it.

Aha!

"You're a member of the cooking club, aren't you?"

He nodded looking shy.

"Why are you embarassed? You shouldn't be shy if someone knew you are a member of the Cooking club! Besides, I think boys who knows how to cook is more attractive"

I assured him. I saw him blush a little and looks away but I can see a small curve of smile forming on the side of his lips.

"...You? What are you doing here?"

He coughs first before asking me removing his flush face.

"Me? I was actually looking for a club I can join but...the cooking club is the first club I stumbled here and I was quite...hungry"

I told him and whispering the last word.

"Is that so?"

He thinks for a moment and asked me to wait for a him. He enters the cooking club's rool and took a cute picnic basket with him, he also changed back into his uniform.

"Great timing, I was about to have lunch! Want to eat together...?"

He gave me a small smile and I nodded.

"Sure! If that's alright with you?"

Of course I'll eat with him! I can smell the aroma of the food inside the basket, I'm really hungry right now!

"Oh Arthur! Do you want to eat lunch together?"

I saw my brother, David walking to Arthur.

"Brother?"

Whoa! I haven't seen him for like two weeks now! Except when we do group calls with our family.

"What are you doing here?"

He raised one of his eyebrows and look at me.

"I'm looking for a club that I want to join"

I showed him the pamphlet that they gave to us first years.

"Really? Then good luck finding one, let's eat Arthur!"

David put his hand on Arthur's shoulder but Arthur didn't even look at him.

"So Delie, want to eat now?"

Arthur asked me.

"What? Hello? I'm here!"

David tries talking to Arthur but Arthur is just ignoring him.

"Ummm..."

I can't respond to him since my brother is talking to him.

"Let's eat Delie"

Arthur walk towards me removing David's hand from his shoulder. David is obviously annoyed for being ignored.

"Fine! I'll just ask Liam to eat with me!"

David frowns and left us.

"Is it really okay, Arthur?"

I asked him and he nodded without saying any word.

Wow, he clearly ignored my brother like he wasn't even here earlier in the first place.

"Is Liam your other friend?"

I asked him remembering the flirty guy who Arthur karate chopped in the head when he flirted with me.

"Yes...are you interested in him? I didn't know you like that kind of guy"

He looks sad at first then thinks.

"What? No, no! I just remembered him, that's all!"

Besides, I can't stand flirty guys to be honest. It reminded me of that flirty male lead!

Arthur and I head to the Picnic Grounds and we saw several students there too eating. Most of them looks like a couple since they are feeding each other lovingly.

"Let's eat Delie"

I look back to Arthur who quickly lays a large purple checkered picnic blanket near a tree.

That's quick!

"Sorry, I didn't help you in preparing that"

Since he is so quick.

"It's alright, here"

He took a small sandwich and lean it to my mouth.

"Tha-"

I was about to take the sandwich but he said that I should take a bite first.

"Say ahhhh"

Is he treating me like a child? I want to laugh so hard by how he says that while his face remaining neutral but meh.

"Ahhh?"

I open my mouth and took a small bite.

"Delicious!"

I'm not kidding! This sandwich taste great!

"...Thanks"

I can see him smiling for a bit before returning to his usual emotionless face.

"Want another bite?"

He asked me leaning the sandwich again.

It taste so good! I want to take it from him so badly but since I'm so hungry, I'll take a big bite now!

"Ahhhh!"

I was opening my mouth when someone open their mouth too.

"Ahhhh! Yum!"

Someone ate the sandwich from Arthur's hand before me and we saw Kayle munching.

"Wha--Kayle?! Why are you here?"

Kayle swallowed the whole food and almost chokes, he even thump his chest since he quickly swallowed the whole sandwich.

"Hey!"

He sat with us at the blanket, between me and Arthur.

I look at Arthur and saw that he has a creepy aura surrounding himself and glaring daggers at Kayle who is just smiling like a fool.

"You!! That was my sandwich!"

I put my hand on his neck and mildly choke him.

"I was already punished by an old hag earlier for my uniform! Now you want to choke me to death?"

Punished? Is he one the students that our dorm supervisor was talking about? The reason why she was late?

Kayle's clothes looks normal now compared from earlier where two buttons of his white buttoned shirt are unbuttoned. Now, he even buttoned his high neck collar.

"I saw you earlier with this guy so I thought of coming with you two"

Kayle told me before his eye caught something.

"Is this your basket?"

Kayle asked me when he saw the cute purple ribbon basket on then middle of the picnic blanket.

"That's--"

Arthur interrupted me.

"That's mine"

He whispered looking at the basket.

"Pfft! Hahahahaha! Really? I guess you were not that manly like I thought!"

Kayle laughs even holding his tummy.

"Kayle!"

I pinched his cheeks.

"Ouch!"

"Why do you laugh at him like that? Didn't you like cute feminine stuffs too? You know when you try to crossdress befo--"

He covers my mouth and whisper to me.

"Fine! Fine, I'll stop just don't reveal that! I have a new style now!"

He begged.

"Besides, I like purple and it's cute!"

I told Arthur who looks relieved.

"Whatever"

Kayle pouts.

"These has so many calories in it! Don't you have a low calorie sandwich?"

Kayle keeps complaining about Arthur's food that it made Arthur took a six-inch long sandwich from the basket and shove it into Kayle's mouth with a blank face while Kayle is still speaking.

"Mmpphff?!"

"That sandwich only has vegetables inside"

Arthur said before drinking his tea and without looking at Kayle.

"This cake taste delicious too, Arthur!"

I told Arthur after I ate a small piece of the chocolate cake he made.

"Thank you"

He said forming a small smile on the side of his lips again.

"Mmmmpphhfff!!!"

Kayle yelled at Arthur but we can't understand his words because the sandwich is still shoved inside his mouth.

You know this reminds me of the dream I had five years ago, when an older Arthur who graduated at the academy two years later and we are engaged there and all. He cooks me some chocolate pancakes, now I understand why Delie fell for a guy like him. He is a perfect husband material, too bad Delie died early in the story before the two of them even got married. They even look so happy together...

"Delie, are you alright?

"Why are you crying?"

I didn't realize that I'm actually crying right now. Arthur and Kayle looks really worried for me.

"It's nothing, this cake taste so good that it actually made me cry!"

I laughed.

But...why am I crying? It feels like I've already experienced that but I'm aware that I'm not her since the real me is not really from here.

...What is wrong with me?

"Thank you Arthur for letting me take the last piece of the cake!"

Even though I already ate three big slices earlier and more kinds of food.

"No problem, do you want me to walk you back to your dorm?"

"Or do you want ME to walk you back?"

Kayle asked the same question as Arthur as the two keeps glaring at each other.

"No thanks! I can just walk there on my own!"

I told them.

Better leave these two before they argue again.

"But it's pretty far away and it's pretty dark now"

Kayle said.

"Nah~ I'm a lot stronger than you think! See you two again!"

I wave at them before walking away.

As I was walking back, I realized that it is really dark now, Kayle's right.

It's almost dinner time anyway, I'll just eat again after dinner! Looks like my stomach will be so full today! Hehehe.

'What are we going to do with her?'

I heard a voice of a man in a corner. I quickly hide in a large bush and peek.

I saw a sleeping female student with the three unknown man taking her away.

'Don't worry, she's not that heavy...the drug will keep her sleeping'

'This girl is so naive, she shouldn't trust others so easily!'

'Heh, to think we disguised ourselves as bodyguards of her father! Thank goodness, this academy allows her father's people to assist her!'

'It seems this very expensive ring is worth it after all'

I peek closer and was shocked to see that it was Daphne! Why is the villainess being kidnapped?

'Are you sure we should do this?! Her father is really powerful!'

'We're already here! There's no turning back now! Besides, we can ask a lot of money from the Duke Il Viva in exchange for his beloved daughter!'

Daphne?! I need to do something! There's no one around here, they might all be already inside their dorm.

But...I'm scared...I...I'm not as brave as the heroine...

A small crack sound of stick is heard after I walk backwards. I accidentally stepped on it!

Shet!

"Who's there?!"

They asked a little louder than before but not as loud as a yell.

"It's me"

I stood up and gave them a glare.

I need to be brave or they will kidnap Daphne!

"Only one? This girl also looks like a noble, how about we kidnap you too?"

"Stop! Aren't you afraid that I have a gift that I can use to hurt you three?"

I asked like I'm threatening them. They don't know my gift yet so why not lie about it being powerful?

"So what? We all have our gifts unlocked too!"

They all showed their gifts.

Damn! They are kidnappers so I forgot that they can unlock theirs illegally!

I need to think of a plan! Quick!

~3rd Person POV~

The Villain, Cain El Blanc just went to the auditorium with many first years like him gathered inside. He doesn't have a roommate since no one is willing to become his roommate.

When he entered the auditorium, everyone around him looks so scared but he was used to it anyway unlike when he was a child. He keeps wondering why people are afraid of him but now he doesn't care anymore and he might even push them aside if they try to know him.

He saw the same light brown hair and light brown-eyes girl who's heels hit his head hard. He keeps wondering why she kept glancing at him so he looks back at her, she thought that he didn't notice her but he did.

Cain didn't realize that he had been staring at the girl for a long time which made him so creeped out with himself.

"That's all! Good luck first years!"

After the speech from the empress. The students quickly avoid him when he was walking outside. He didn't go the bulletin board since he knows that he is already sorted by his stupid uncle, the emperor to the Special Class.

When he entered the room of the Special Class, everyone who was laughing turn silent when they saw Cain but Cain just sat on the furthest seat on the back. There are like ten of them inside here anyway.

"Ummm...excuse me?"

A shaking voice of a boy from the class made him look at him. His body shakes even more when Cain stares at him.

"What do you want?"

Cain asked the boy.

"This is the Special Club badge,...I'm sorry! Please don't kill me!!"

The boy runs away from him.

"How annoying..."

Cain muttered obviously annoyed.

Then someone entered too and he saw the crown prince, Angeal or should he call 'Eros'.

Eros saw him and gave him a small wave after he sits on a chair. Cain just rolled his eyes and sleep on the desk table.

"Mother? Mother!"

An eight-year old Cain went to his mother who was bleeding on the floor badly.

"Mother, please wake up!"

He tries shaking his mother who was already dead. Her purple eyes are wide open and her beautiful long silver hair is stained with the pool of blood.

"Mother?"

The young Cain realized that his mother is no longer alive so he begins to sob.

"Cain, what did you do? Why did you kill aunt?"

The door of the study room where Cain and his mother is inside opens. The crying young Cain looks up and saw the young crown prince looking down at him worried.

"Angeal! Mother she...she's dead!"

Cain told Angeal.

"Yes I know, why did you kill her?"

Angeal forms a small smirk.

"She's beating me up as usual and then...I can't take it anymore and...and..."

"Go on"

"After I did what you told me to make my mother sleep so that she can stop beating me...I chant those words and black smokes came from me and when I opened my eyes, I saw mother lying on the ground!"

"Then it's done!"

"What?"

"You put your mother to sleep right? Eternal sleep...?"

"What do you mean? You said it will only make her sleep! Not make her dead!"

"Oh no...I forgot to tell you that it was actually for eternal sleep and not just sleep..."

Angeal laughs like it was nothing.

"You...!"

Cain tries to tackle Angeal but he used a white smoke like thing to Cain to stop him.

"At last, both the holder of the white and dark magic had finally awakened..."

Angeal whispered.

"Angeal!"

Cain shouts at Angeal who smiles.

"Don't put the blame on me, I was the one to told you about that...but you were the one who killed your mother, you're a murderer Cain..."

"No..."

Cain's hand shakes from the shock.

"I'm a murderer..."

As the young Cain cries, the young Angeal just looks down at him with a satisfied smile.

After two years, the maid Cain cares the most also betrayed him leaving him to finally lost his trust to others.

"Huh?"

Cain woke up and saw that there's no one in the room anymore.

"They left..."

He saw a small letter with hearts design infront of his desk.

"What's this?"

He read the letter and it was a letter from Eros who told him that he'll be leaving too since he needs to find someone. He tores the letter and burn it using his dark magic right from his hand.

Cain didn't know that the students and teacher quickly leave the room before he wakes up.

"I'm hungry, should I go to the food court?"

He asked himself but all of the chocolate type foods are sold out when he goes to the shops or some of them just closed it immediately when they saw the villain walking around.

Chocolates are what he considers the thing that he loves the most and serves as his stress reliever.

He just decided to go back to his dorm and eat dinner there but he really wants to eat a chocolate right now especially after that bad memory to relieve himself.

"You little! Why is my gift not working on you?!"

He heard a voice of a man and saw that he is holding a girl's arm.

"Let me go! You smelly old man!"

The girl shouted at him. She looks familiar...

Wait!

He remembers her! She's the light brown hair and light brown-eyed girl!

"We'll kidnap you too and ask your family for ransom!"

"What? Do you think I'd let you?"

The girl suddenly kicks the man's groin in anger so he suddenly let go of her arm. She is headed to Daphne but her hair was pulled by the man.

"That's it! You're dead!"

The man who is still in pain after she kicks his groin angrily told her.

Cain wants to ignore it but he remembers the time when he was also being kidnapped for ransom and his father didn't even bother saving him when he got kidnapped. It was when he was only eight at that time and escape their manor that he can use his gift to save himself.

"...This is such a drag..."

He sighed.

~Delie's POV~

Shet! He already pulled my hair!

What am I going to do? I could atleast save Daphne! I'm really an idiot...I let myself be in a situation like this!

"Who are you?!"

One of the man shouts when he saw someone walking towards us. I turn my eyes to see who it is and saw the villain!

What is he doing here?

"Shut up..."

He said annoyed and release a bunch of black aura around him.

Wait, is he going to kill me too?! Why am I being surrounded by black aura too?! Wahhh! Mommy! Daddy!

I closed my eyes and I can feel the hand that is pulling my hair is loosening. I heard three large slam of people on the ground before I open my eyes.

The three men are already on the ground!

"Don't worry, I just put them to sleep...they'll wake up after a few hours"

The villain said to me.

"Thank you for saving us!"

I told him and bow my head infront of him to give my sincere gratitude.

"Us?"

"Us!"

I turn my head to the sleeping Daphne.

"So you were trying to save her...?"

The villain asked me. I nodded.

"Yeah...I was but you ended up saving us instead, thank you really!"

He became our savior! My savior!

I need to give my thanks to him since he saved us.

"Don't think about it too much, I just don't like this kind of things..."

He brushed it off and just walk away.

Not far away from us, I heard his stomach growling.

"Err...are you hungry?"

I asked him. He didn't reply.

"...No"

"Really? But your stomach says yes"

"No, I'm no-"

His stomach grumbles again as soon as he face me.

"Hahaha! You are hungry!"

I can't help but laugh at him. He can be a bit cute too!

"Arghhhh...this is embarassing..."

He sighed.

"Here, atleast take this as one of my thanks to you!"

I remember that I took a slice of chocolate cake with me earlier for me to eat at the dorm secretly.

"No thanks-"

Then his eyes widened when he saw the wrapped chocolate cake.

"Is it chocolate?"

He asked me.

Yeah...the villain really likes chocolates! You know, if he wasn't the villain maybe we can get along with our love for chocolates.

"Yes! Here, take it!"

I hand it to him, he gulps before taking it and opening it. He just ate it like a sandwich.

"Slow down, you might choke hahaha"

He is like a beaver by how fast he devours it.

"It's good, right?"

I smiled at him.

He stares at me for a while like he remembers something but he just shake his head.

"What's wrong?"

I asked him.

"Nothing...I just remember a little girl saying the same thing to me before"

A little girl? Ohhh~! Maybe Cordelia? Hehehe.

"...Also why didn't you get affected by my gift, don't you feel a bit sleepy since you also inhaled a small portion of my dark magic earlier?"

He asked me.

"Hm? Oh that! It's probably because of my Negation gift!"

"Negation gift?"

"Any types of gift won't work on me! In short, I'm invincible! Just kidding!"

Yeah, coming from someone who almost got kidnapped.

"I need to go back now, the cake was delicious...what are you going to do with those three?"

He asked me pointing at the three men.

"Okay! Don't worry, I already know what to do with them..."

I smirked.

Now to get my revenge!

The next day, Daphne woke up and rant to me about her dream almost being kidnapped. She just remembered it as a dream huh, maybe the villain also erased it from her memory and made it like a dream?

"Delie, did you know? They found three men tied tightly inside the farm? They said they don't remember who did it to them but they were arrested when the teachers discovered that they are criminals since their gifts are unlocked"

"Is that so?"

I asked Phia.

"Yes and then they were all beaten up bu the chickens that were shooting lasers, I wonder who put them in there? That person must be a hero haha"

"Hmmm...me too, I wonder?"

I replied to her wondering but as soon as she looks away, I formed a scary smirk.

Serves those three men right!
