Dear Imena,
"This is bad, isn't it?" Skipper asked.
"Yes, it is." I said, still holding the backpack. I pulled out my phone and called Ty.
"Do you happen to know what Rox took with her on this mission?" I asked as soon as he picked up.
"Um, she was planning on being gone only a few days. So she probably packed like it was a trip." Ty said uncomfortably.
"No, I mean anything specific. Like any electronics, artifacts, or anything that may be important?"
Ty thought about it for a second.
"I don't know how important it is to anyone else, but she took this little figurine that you enchanted for her a long time ago. I think it's a butterfly?" he said.
"Yes. It's one of the glass ones I leave behind when I take off somewhere. I left it behind one time and she wanted to keep it so I enchanted it with a protection spell. Thank you, I'll be in touch soon." I said and hung up quickly, leaving Ty confused.
"Did you figure something out?" Skipper asked.
"I think so." I said, looking through her bag, "Oh good, it's not here." I said.
"The butterfly? Isn't that a bad thing?" Skipper asked.
"No, it's really good." I said, taking off my necklace, "When I enchanted it, I used a protection spell so that as long as it is physically with or around her, she's safe. But, I also put a tracking spell on it, and my necklace will help us find it."
"How is a necklace going to help? It's just a a pendant on a string."
"Well, yes and no. There are butterfly charms inside the pendant. That's where the ones I leave come from, and everytime one leaves the pendant, the pendant keeps track of where they are so I can go back and pick them up." I said.
"So if Rox has the butterfly, we can find her?"
"And maybe find out what happened here."
Skipper smiled, "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go!"
"Wait, do you even know how to use the skateboard? Or are you just carrying it around?" he asked.
"I don't even know if I'm holding it like I know how to use it." I said, laughing.
Skipper laughed with me, then we ditched the skateboard next to a parked car. Holding Skipper's hand in one hand, and the necklace in the other, I held out the pendant and it pointed the way, and I began to fly in that direction.
