Dear Imena,
The next morning, I had to go to school on Earth. I struggled the entire time, a shadow kept following me around, I could always see it in the corner of my eye. At one point, I was so overwhelmed I asked to go to the bathroom just so I could get out of the classroom. I just stood in front of the mirror for what felt like forever.
"My Queen, are you alright?"
I turned my head to see the ghost of a young woman next to me. My school has a few ghosts around, older buildings tend to have a few, and the ghosts in buildings like to talk to me since I can both see and talk to them. This one's name is Elizabeth.
"I think so, I'm not really sure." I said.
"Is there anything I can do to help?" she asked.
I wanted to say no, but I got an idea just as I was about to say it.
"Elizabeth, do you know all of the ghosts that live here?" I asked her.
"Yes, we're the only company we have when there's no one here that can see us." she responded.
"Have there been any new ghosts here? One's you haven't seen before or don't recognize?"
Elizabeth thought about it for a moment, "I don't think so, Miss. My memory is fairly foggy, but I don't remember talking to anyone new."
I nodded, and went back to thinking.
"Why are you asking?" Elizabeth asked.
"Oh, it's nothing. I just keep seeing a shadow, and it's the same one, I just want to know why they're following me and who they are so I wondered if maybe they attached to me here and now they're stuck following me." I said.
Elizabeth was quiet for a moment, possibly trying to remember something from her clouded memories.
"Well what if I follow you around, Miss? Maybe then I'll see this shadow as well and we can try to talk to them." she proposed.
"Are you sure you're ok with that?" I asked her.
She nodded.
"Ok then, I'm ok with it." I said.
The door opened as I said this, it was one of my human friends. She looked at me strangely.
"Who are you talking to?" she asked.
"Oh, um, Elizabeth. She's a little shy, so she probably won't talk much now." I said, hoping she would just go with it so I didn't have to avoid explaining ghosts more.
"Ok... Well are you ever coming back to class? You've been here for almost fifteen minutes." My friend said.
"Oh, yeah I'm coming back now. Um, bye Elizabeth, see you later!" I said.
"Yeah, ok. Let's go." My friend said.
