Te amo

Dear Imena,

Milo and I returned to the Vail that night and spent the night there. In the morning, I opened up separate portals, and we went to our respective colleges. Before we left, I threw my arms around him. He let go of the handles of his suitcases and out his arms around me.

"I'll meet you back here in a few weeks, ok?" he said.

I nodded, "Give me a call when you're ready, and I'll open a portal for you."

He nodded and kissed my forehead before we pulled away.

"I love you, Milo." I said.

"I love you too, Spirit." he said, then he stepped through his portal and was gone.

I looked at my portal, honestly fearing being alone in this new place. I looked around my castle,

"If any of you want to come with me, you're more than welcome. I don't really want to go alone." I said to any ghost that could hear me.

A picture fell off the wall about a foot away from me, the loud bang scared me and I screamed. I picked up the picture, it was a picture of my grandpa, the one that taught me how to grow roses.

I looked over at the wall where the picture had been, and saw a white rose growing from the wall. I ran to get my clippers and a vase with some water in it. I cut the rose's stem and put it in water.

Smiling to myself, I picked up my things and stood in front of the portal once more. Before stepping through, I looked around one more time.

"Gracias, abuelo. Te amo." I said, then I stepped through the portal and was gone.

The castle was still, the Vail was still. Honestly, everything seemed to stand still, it was like the entire universe knew the Queen was no longer home.
