Drunkards

My words were suddenly cut off by Orochi's lips. I felt my face heat up immediately after. I didn't know how to react to his actions besides stand there absolutely still. My eyes fluttered closed, letting myself fall deeper into the kiss. Orochi pulled back and gazed at me. His cheeks as well had a light pink blush upon them.

"Orochi, what was th-" He quickly clears his throat and steps back away from me. Is he embarrassed of his actions?

"I'm sorry, I need to clear my head." With graceful long strides, he leaves me standing alone again.

My hands go straight up to my lips and touch where his just were. Did Orochi actually kiss me? I feel more heat rushing to my cheeks. I close my eyes trying to regain a steady pulse back into my heart. What was it that made him kiss me? Was it the fact that I wore his clothes?

No, that wouldn't make any sense. I bite my lip in utter confusion but footsteps interrupt my thoughts. I glance to the door to see Tomoko standing there. "Miss! Why are you so flushed? Have you caught a fever?" She quietly walks up to me and tries to feel my forehead.

"I'm fine, I just- Had something unexpected happen to me." I nervously mess with my sleeves. Tomoko seems to notice my nervousness and catches on.

"What happened?" I chuckle and rub my left arm and explain to her what had just happened.

"He kissed you?!" Her little fox eyes went huge at the sudden announcement. Her ears were pointing straight up and tail was wagging.

"Heh- yeah. He kissed me." I hide my face in my hands hoping that she wouldn't start to make fun of my face.

But laughter seems to fill the air from her. "This is all so sudden! I don't really get it! Such a mysterious person, that man is." She gets up and pats my head before her little figure disappears into the hall, closing the door behind her.

I flop backwards onto my bed and huff. "Aysh! How could I let myself do that?!" I slap my pillow onto my face, hoping it would hide my shamefulness.

"He probably just did that to get a reaction out of me." I sit up and look to see that the Lotus book was still laying on my bed. I flip it open to the picture of Aiya. She didn't seem all that bad when I met her threw my dream.

She seemed just like a mother almost, concerned, protective and lively. It's a shame to know that she died at a young age.

I flip threw a bunch of pages reading incidences of my ancestors power and their ability to kill demons with a much as a little effort at all. From what I was reading, majority of the people in the Lotus died from old age besides Aiya.

But the further I read, the less incredible were the sons and fathers after Aiya. It even noted that they were getting weaker as each new sin was born. As if the demon blood was weakening threw the decades.

If it was weakening, then was my father a good warrior because of the blood? Flipping threw more pages, I find a page written by a man named, Gin. His power was not only strength but the ability to see at precise detail that no one could see, even far distances.

"Could I be able to do this?" I read further into his writing but it only kept repeating that no one could receive it or even knew how he had them. The only thing he wrote as a clue was only those who are worthy.

I huff in annoyance. This is so old and ancient how is this going to help me? As I close the book, I get up and think of ways to entertain myself. Maybe there is something going on around the estate I do.

Walking out of my room and down the hall seems to be lively today. I barely turn the corner when three maids rush by me.

"Woah! What in the world is going on?!" I decide to follow the maids quietly to see that a guest is throwing a fit in on of the bigger rooms.

"Give me quality entertainment, dammit!" A pot is thrown outside the door and shatters onto the floor. One of the maids scream in panic.

"Do you know who I am, wench? Your lucky to even be in the same room as me!" A slap echos in the air and that's when I get a sudden anger towards the guest and step in front of the maids.

"Hey! You may be a guest here but it's no excuse to hurt someone that I trying to help you!" I tell at the person.

The guest seemed to a fair haired young man who obviously had too much to drink. Bright blue eyes that seemed almost white, skin so pale that it looked like snow. He looked at me surprised at first and then a smirk came across his face. "Can you dance?"

His words shock me, "Huh?"

"Can you dance? You seem like a dancer to me?" He sips the cup of liquor in his hands as he stares at me.

"I can but-"

The man threw down two fans on the floor in front of me, "Dance."

One of the maids trying to speak up behind me in defense, "But sir, she isn't a-"

"Be quiet servant!" He hand slaps down on the table in front of himself, clearly not taking any objection against his word. Anger boils in my hands, he needs to b taught a lesson. I bend down and yank the fans off the floor, making sure to meet his eyes as I do so.

"Get to it girl." He yells at me as I walk across the room.

He doesn't know who I am, not does he know that I am Orochi's. I crack open the fans letting the snap silence the room. I hear small gasps from the maids, "Does she really know how to dance?"

I squat down with a fan covering my face and the other fan behind my back. I remember the advice my mother told me whenever a woman dances, never let your arms falter and the dance is about your eyes. Everything is in your eyes. I smile behind the fan.

I didn't have the best geisha mother for no reason. I begin fluttering my fan and toss them into the air, catching them behind my back together. As my foot slides in a circle me behind me, I slowly wave the fans around and back to my face.

A few minutes after getting the man's attention, I remember what Orochi said to me on the bridge, 'put all your focus into your hands' as it repeats like a mantra in my head, my hands start to feel as if warm water is coming down my arms and into them. I spin around the man and threw the fan at the cup he has on his knee.

"What the hell!" Liquid drains onto his clothing and the glass shatters onto the floor.

I spin another time and throw the last one against his cheek. A hash opens up, and blood slowly drips down. Before I realize it, he has walked up to me and grabs my wrist.

"How dare you, you unworthy woman!"

I yank it out of his grasp and pull his hair, pulling him by it out into the hall. He yells out in pain, trying to get away but I use my strength holding his head down at my waist. We both struggle the way to the front the estate where I throw him out onto the stone floor.

"No man should try to harm a woman or less threaten her with her family. If you can't behave, then you are not welcome here." I fold my arms in front me in disgust.

I hear running footsteps behind me, "Miss! What happened?" She gasps at the sight.

"Tomoko! Tell this wench, that she should treat guests like this! This is distasteful on all levels!" He struggles to stands up and points at me.

Tomoko's eyebrows furrow in anger, "I can't since she is going to be Orochi's wife."

The man sucks in his breath and pales.
