There were once 2 groups in society under the church. The Hanju and the Shinju.
The Hanju were rich and greedy, they often forced their powers on the Shinju knowing they were too poor and defenseless. Many of the Shinju were brainwashed by books and propaganda to make them believe they were meant to be punished under god for their "past lives".
After centuries of this brainwashing and punishment, 2 men rose up for their people, the first-named Roma Velik, he was described by the Shinju as brave, but reckless.
He wanted freedom so badly, he'd do anything to get it, his blinded selfishness and view often caused problems, leading many to think he only wanted freedom for himself, rather than for the people.
The second man was kind and thoughtful, he fought for more than himself, always making it clear that every person mattered in his decisions making. Roma eventually came to see this as foulishness and saw Eric's kindness as a weakness that could easily be exploited.
So during a battle for control over the resistance, Roma had backstabbed Eric and handed him over to the Hanju all while manipulating the resistance into thinking it was for their own safety.
It is believed that Eric had passed on as the 12th wall, the wall of Redemption as swore he would redeem the resistance even after his death and would kill Roma, the 11th wall, the wall of Sin.
This betrayal took place 112 years ago. An old prophecy states that 2 prodigies who pushed beyond the limits of the 10th wall would inherit either redemption or sin based on their alignment, the superior soul deciding the fate of the world.
It is unclear how the walls came to be, but those who conquer the walls unlock full control of the world around them, reaching the power of the gods themselves, but in turn, the drawback of this transformation results in the death of its user, no mortal gains the power of the gods unpunished.
After Eric was executed, Roma had betrayed the resistance and joined the Hanju in a thirst for power, without a leader for the resistance, they had disappeared for years, in fear of execution.
Now the prophecy is buried behind the lies of the Hanju.
"You got all of that buddy?" The man said. "Yeah I got it all, but who exactly are you?" I asked in confusion,
"My name is Kenneth Rose, you can just call me Kenneth, from now on, you belong in the home of the resistance. What I just told you was the true history hidden by the Hanju, or you can say your mother's research that she gave to me before she died." He explained.
"So how did you know my mother?" I asked.
"Let's just say I was someone she trusted enough to find her son one day,
But now I got yah." He explained
"You see kid there are some few that have the slightest chance to open there eyes to the real world, one with fewer limitations, this resistance
We call ourselves "Sine Infirmitatem" Latin for Without Weakness
Through our minds unlocked, we can't be swayed, through our bruised
Bodies we can't be changed, Our souls that win to fight another day.
That is our message, our meaning, together we will bring an end to the Hanju, which means you're gonna need some practice if we plan to pull that off." he said
"So I'm assuming I've breached past the walls already." I said
"Don't get ahead of yourself you've only broken past the first,
If anyone was to try and breach them all at one time they would surely go rogue." he explained
"Rogue?" I asked in confusion.
"Yeah a rogue, if a person attempts to break a wall and they fail to overcome it after breaching it, they will be possessed by the emotion of that wall which could turn out to be really bad.
Rogue's come out at night, and their abilities never leave them since the body is merely possessed.
Look, I think you're a special kid, but some walls will be harder to breach if the emotion behind the wall is one you have trouble with, so it's important you take it slow, you got that?"
"Yeah I do, but I still don't know how to unlock that power again."
Don't worry we'll get to that later as I said, I'll teach you everything I know,
But first, you have to wake up."
"Huuuuh." I gasp for air as I wake up from bed. Where am I, it felt so real I thought I had been awake the whole time.
"Congratulations kid, it seems you are strong enough to make a network connection with people, it'll come in handy when you're out on the field.
Now sleep up and you'll get started on your training first thing after breakfast."
Alright then I thought as he walked off, what exactly can the training be,
I just hope I don't get beaten again, I rather have spiders crawl on me then feel a blow like that again.
I guess I'll get some sleep.
