"Well... what do we have here..." my brows furrowed and lightly sneered at them.
Three... no, four hideous, gigantic, greenish creature appeared before me. My nose drawn up and wrinkled at the foul smell that's lingering with them.
"My... my... my... isn't she the oh-so mighty Goddess?" then 'it' came forward, trying to approach me, "then I bet she'll be toothsome!"
Well, shit. I don't have anything to defend my self.
"Scared? That's good. That will add some flavor." they slowly surrounded me with their big, wooden sticks.
One creature tried to grab me but I immediately avoided its grasp. I stepped back as another hand tried to grab me. As I step back, one tried to swing his weapon towards me, aiming specifically in my head. I grabbed his weapon and smirked at him.
'Just in time.'
I forcefully grabbed the weapon from him which made him loose his balance. He stumbled, almost dragging one of his comrade. Didn't want to waste time, I immediately ran towards him, dodging the punches that were thrown at me, and pierced his weapon in his head. Blood splashed as it penetrated his head and warm liquid oozed at the hole in his head as I removed the weapon.
"W-what?" the others commented and walked backwards, their eyes fixated at their instantly dead comrade.
"Who's next?" then I chuckled, "scared? That's good! That will add some flavor."
They all fled as I walked towards them which made me laugh. 'Should I run after them?'
"Goddess Natasha!" a familiar voice echoed throughout the forest. My heart seem to skip a beat as I heard it. So nostalgic.
"What are you doing here? Why did you leave? Are you alright?" a masculine figure wearing a knight attire ran towards me.
"W-what's with the blood! Oh, goodness! Your dress is ruined!" he asked, one after another.
"I'm fine..." I replied, still dumbfounded by what I'm seeing. 'If this is really a dream, I don't want to wake up anymore...'
"Why did you ran away? I was worried!" he once again asked and grabbed both of my arm.
"I'm glad that you're alive, Leonard!" who would've thought that my first love will be here... the fact that he's still alive made my heart flutter. Though, I was quite disappointed that he didn't die when I killed him. I told you, if I can't have them, no one can have them.
"Of course I'm alive! What are you talking about?" he replied and slowly grabbed my hand, checking if I'm wounded or something, "Let's just return to the cabin. It's not safe in here. I didn't even know how you managed to ran that far..."
|~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~|
"Oh, goodness! Finally! You're here." a middle-aged woman said as we arrived at the cabin.
"I-I'm very sorry, madam. I didn't know that she'll run away." the girl who entered my room earlier said and bowed her head.
"Don't worry, Amy. Natasha's safe now. There's nothing to worry about." Leonard said and patted Amy's, or whatever he called her, head.
"I would like to apologize, madam." then he turned to the middle aged woman, "I know that it's not an easy task to shelter goddess Natasha, especially right now..."
"No worries, Lord Leonardius. After all, it's an honor to serve both you and goddess Natasha." the lady smiled and bowed. Her eye wandered at me. She gasped as if I look like a total mess.
"Oh, dear! Goddess Natasha! Your dress looks like a total mess!" Yep. She read my mind.
"Luckily, she wasn't eaten by the ogres. I didn't know how she stumbled with them." Leonard said.
"Amy please assist goddess Natasha upstairs." Amy bowed and nodded. She looked at me and left the room, heading upstairs. Without a word, I decided to follow her. When I arrived upstairs, she's just standing there holding a dress.
"Which one would you like to wear, goddess Natasha?" I cringed at the sight of those dresses. When she saw my reaction, she quickly put the dresses down and opened a cabinet... still full of dresses.
"Whatever. You can pick whatever you want."
"Really?"
"Yes! Hurry up." she nodded and quickly chose a dress. She chose an off-shoulder, knee length, white dress. Before she handed me the dress, she handed me a bucket of water with a cloth.
"Do you wan—"
"No, I can manage. You may leave now." she fidget and once again bowed her head before leaving the room.
When she left, I grabbed the damp cloth and stood in front of the mirror. I looked at it as I wiped the dried blood in my skin.
'Where am I? Why are they calling me goddess? Oh, yeah. Wings? Knights? Ogres? Heck. I might have been teleported into a fairy tale shit. Or I might have turned bonkers because of the lightning.'
As I was about to exit the door, someone knocked which almost made me jump.
"What?" Leonard appear to be startled by my grumpy expression.
"Uh... I apologize, Natasha. But we must leave before before noon. We have to venture now in order to arrive at the next town in time." Maybe staying here in this world won't be a bad idea. After all, I will do everything for love. I blushed and bowed my head. Maybe I was too hasty.
"Oh... I apologize for my hastiness, Leonard. I just need a minute to pack my belongings... I guess..." I replied, whispering the last two words. I don't even know if I should pack something in her because it seems like we're just staying here for a while. I once again looked at him and I became baffled by his expression.
"What did you call me?"
"Leonard." his forehead furrowed and his head slightly tilted. 'You know you're cute when you do that.'
"Then I guess, I should be honored because the goddess had chosen a name for me." I giggled by what he said. 'You silly. You're still funny.'
"Is there something wrong?" I just shook my head, "then do you need an assistance?"
"Uhm... about that... I just... I seem to have no recollection of my identity." or the identity of this goddess Natasha... he sighed at what I said.
"It is all my fault after all... I owe my life to you. Because of you, I'm still alive and well, but at what cost? The goddess' memory? A lapse in your responsibility?"
"What? I don't understand..."
"We came from the Ainclandia Mountain, but on our way in here, the town of Zada, a group of cyclops attacked us. I was about to die, but then you saved me. In the end, you broke your vow which made you lose your memory..."
"I-is that so? Then don't worry about it... I'm just happy that you're here."
"Thank you, Natasha. I know that my life will never be enough as a payment, but I swear that I will protect and serve you until my last breath..." I chuckled. 'See? life's not so bad in here...'
"Now, then. Shall we go now, my knight?"
