Training

Kaline, Jordan, and Taylor were sitting on the couch watching the news while Leo was working on guns at a desk.

"The king and his officers are still on the search of the clones the king advises everyone to remain inside as the clones have been known to be one of the most dangerous yet. If you must go out make sure to keep an eye out for these four children." The pictures of them came up on the side and they all sighed till suddenly they heard a loud bang.

"Leo!"

"Dude!"

"Sorry."

They continued to watch and saw a video appear of Officer Draven speaking. "The Clones are more dangerous than we could have imagined but we will not let them destroy our king and take away our kingdom. We have already managed to kill their only ally. It made his majesty's heart drop which is why we need to find these Clones now. They are lost right now, and we will make sure we find them."

Another bang made them jump.

"Leo what the hell?"

"Sorry, sorry."

"Can we watch something else?"

"Sure Tay."

Kaline picked up the remote and was about to change the channel when she dropped it to the sound of a loud bang.

"Dude!"

"God damn it!"

Kaline sighed before she turned off the tv and they all walked over to Leo. "Leo are you okay?"

"What's going on?"

"I'm just trying to adjust this gun."

"Adjust?"

"Leo I'm pretty sure they can't go any faster."

"I'm not trying to make them go faster."

"What are you trying to do?"

"I'm trying to make them silent."

"Silent?"

"How are you gonna do that?"

"I'm trying to find a way now."

"Why do you even want to make the gun go silent?"

"In order to kill the king we're gonna have to fight the officers. They won't be able to find us so easily if we kill them unnoticed."

"But wouldn't you have to make the gun faster too?"

"The gun can be the speed of a snail as long as no one hears it. If I do this I may be more useful with fighting."

"Leo you're already great at fighting."

"Well I can get better."

"Well since you're trying to get better maybe we should try to train a little bit."

"Yeah!"

"Sounds like a good idea but you would have to do it quietly, we can't draw any attention."

"Then this may be as strong as I can get."

"What do you mean?"

"There's no way I can train my ability "quietly" especially since I use it for causing earthquakes."

"Well there's gotta be some way you can still train."

"I don't think so guys."

"Why don't you help me with the guns? You might as well learn to control your strength."

Leo hands Jordan a tool and he grabs a seat before he sits next to him.

"We'll see you guys later."

"Okay bye girls."

"Bye."

Kaline and Taylor walk out into the backyard as Leo and Jordan continue to work on the guns.

"So you wanna start first?"

"Yeah sure--"

They jumped to the sound of another bang. "Dang it!"

"I think it sounded a little softer."

Kaline laughed, "Taylor you're so sweet." Taylor blushed a little bit. "Why don't you try taking a lap or two around the forest?"

"Okay."

Taylor transforms into a bat and starts to fly around the forest suddenly Kaline hears another bang and sighs.

She heard another bang but this time it was softer in a way.

"Hey guys I think you made the gun quieter."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Yes! We're getting somewhere."

Kaline giggled as she saw Taylor land in front of her.

"How was that?"

"Pretty good but you can always go faster, can you go another round?"

"Yeah."

Taylor gets up and flies again. Kaline waited for a few minutes till she screamed at Taylor landing in front of her. "Dang you scared me Tay."

"Was that good?"

"Yeah that was great, much faster."

"Yay!"

"Okay my turn, I'm gonna do three laps. Count for me?"

"Yeah."

Kaline sped off and Taylor started to count, "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten."

Kaline appeared and asked, "How long was that?"

"Ten seconds."

"That is nowhere near fast enough."

"Just go again you'll get it."

"Alright."

"One, two, three, four, five, six."

Kaline appeared, "How long was that?"

"Six seconds."

"Dang it!"

"Don't worry we'll keep working on it."

Over the next few weeks, Kaline continued to run and it slowly started to go down, six, five, six, four, five, six, six.

"This is not going anywhere."

"What do you mean? You're doing great."

"Thanks but I'm just not fast enough."

"Come on just try again."

Kaline sighed, "Okay."

"Try your hardest."

"Alright."

Kaline disappears and before Taylor even started counting she reappeared again.

"Well?"

"... I didn't even start."

"Oh my god!"

"That was amazing!"

"Yes!"

"Hey girls, did you hear that?"

"Um… no?"

"... Come back inside."

"Okay."

"They're acting a little weird."

"Yeah let's go check on them."

They walked into the living room and saw Leo and Jordan holding their guns.

"What is it?"

"Look."

Leo aims the gun at the wall and pulls the trigger but it doesn't make a sound. Kaline and Taylor walk up to the wall and see a bullet hole.

"Oh my god."

"You actually did it?"

"We got it!"

"This is awesome."

"Guys… I think we need to talk."

"About what?"

"Come on."

They went to the living room and sat on the couch.

"I think we should cease the castle."

"What?"

"Are we ready for that?"

"I think we are, if we're not ready to kill the king we're at least ready to show that we're strong."

"Leo--"

"I'm not saying we should go today we'll still train a little but I feel like we need to do this."

"We said we should do this as fast as we can."

"But are we sure."

"Kaline you almost got killed by Alric."

"And that bastard almost missed me, trust me we can do this."

"If we plan this right we may be able to pull this off."

"You guys we can do this."

"... Alright."

"We're actually gonna do this?"

"We're really gonna do this."

"We're gonna kill the vampire king."

They trained for days til they finally headed back to the castle in their attempt to kill the king.
