She was lucky enough to have raised her gaze the time she did because it was at this moment that the slightly recovered Emperor approached Alex with a dagger in his hand.

"Be careful, Alex!" Michelle shouted as she release her mother only to appear in front of her father who had raised the dagger to stab Alex.

Alex turned around to see what was wrong. The scene his eyes met was not something he ever imagined seeing.

"I told you not to lay a finger on him because he is mine so why didn't you listen?" Michelle holding onto her father's right hand with her left hand asked.

"Michelle what... What... what have you done?" Empress Lucy yelled in horror. She used her vampire's power and cover the space between them. When she reached where they stood, she violently pushed Michelle away from the man whom blood was flowing from his chest.
