Worn out feelings!

Luna's POV:

I was completely perplexed while holding those tulips. Countless thoughts were running on my mind while I was biting my lips unconsciously. So, do I have to encounter Ji-Hoo from now on? Then why did Alex lied to me about his reincarnation? Was he testing my emotions? Did he ever love me truly?

(Phone ringing)

Without even looking at the screen I picked up the call indignantly.

"Did you like my gift?" A gentle voice asked me over the phone.

I almost jolted with the question and immediately checked the screen, it was... Noah!

"Hel-Hello?" I blurted out nonchalantly.

"Umm, Luna it's me Noah! Please don't tell me now that you didn't even save my contact number!" He sounded a little frantic over the call.

"Ahh no, I was just a bit surprised! Why did you send these flowers to me? And why red tulips?" I was anxiously asking him while keeping the flowers over my table.

"Umm, did you read my note? I told you today's a special day!" He inquired me very compassionately.

"Today? No, I actually don't remember anything about today!" I mumbled in a soft tone while trying  hard to think about any special event.

"I guess, it's natural for you to forget about it!" All of a sudden his voice sounded melancholic, while I was completely silent and clueless.

"Well, today is that day, when you actually agreed to our contractual dating! It was the happiest period of my life!" Noah's voice seemed to be painfully sad while talking about it.

"Ohhh! I get it! Sorry, I forgot about it completely!" I expressed my remorse in a soft voice while gasping outside my cabinet with a blank gaze in my eyes.

"That's fine! You never felt anything towards me anyway! It was all about my happiness and my one-sided feelings! That's why I have always cherished this day alone, all these years! But as I found you again, I couldn't resist myself from sending these flowers to you!" He was consoling me calmly while holding back his emotions! I could understand it very specifically.

"Noah, why did you sent me red tulips? You could have given me red roses! Both of them depict similar meanings!" I asked him a bit coldly.

"Woah! Such a frozen princess like you know the meaning of red tulips? I am amazed!" He tried to tease me while smirking over the phone.

"A person who has confessed to the love of her life with red tulips should know the meaning of it!" On the spur of a moment, I blurted it unconsciously.

"What? You confessed with red tulips?" Noah almost bounced with my answer in a very curious loud tone.

"Errmm, no, I me-mean I have seen it in dramas! Otherwise, how would I know about that?" I tried to avert the topic desperately to hide my clumsiness.

"Ohhh, for a moment I was really shocked! It will be the greatest achievement of someone's life to receive a heartfelt confession from you!" He sounded relieved.

"Ahhh stop blabbering and just answer me, why did you choose red tulips for me?" I was a bit impatient.

"I don't know why,  but all of a sudden when I saw those tulips, it felt like you will look like a divine beauty with those flowers! I sensed a sudden urge to visit a tulip garden with you! If it had been possible somehow, I desperately would have taken you to such a place! But sadly, I need to go to work! So instead I sent the kid of that flower shop to your cafe! Ahhhh life sucks!" Noah was whining to me like a small child in a grumpy voice.

"Tulip field?" I exclaimed quite intensely. Why he is talking about the tulip field? I was totally stunned with his response.

"Yes! I have never visited such places though, but today I don't know why I really wanted to go there with you!" He was speaking in a very calmly over the phone.

My heart throbbed for a moment! Why is Noah talking about the tulip field? It was the paradise for Ha-Eun and Ji-Hoo! Then by any chance, is Ji-Hoo reincarnated as Noah? Huh? What?

"Luna? Are you there? Hello?" Noah was calling me impatiently.

My mind was going crazy with those weird thoughts. "No, no! How's this possible? Ji-Hoo and Noah are polar opposites to each other! It is impossible! Stop overthinking Luna! Maybe he wants to visit the tulip field just to admire nature!" I tried to console myself desperately to get rid of those thoughts.

"Ye-Yes!" I answered him in a spooky manner.

"Ermm, I think you are lost somewhere today! Didn't you like the gift?" He was very anxious while asking me.

"It's beautiful! Thank you for the gift! But, I think you need to move on now, Noah! You can't hold onto past forever--"

"Ahhhh okay okay, I get it! I will hang up for now! Will call you sometime again!" Noah interrupted me and abruptly disconnected the call. It was completely clear that he wanted to avoid my answer. 

I silently put the phone on the table while staring outside the window! The sky was blue and beautiful! Somehow, I felt a bit relieved that Noah was the sender but a part of my heart was sad!

"You fool! Did you really expect Alex would send it to you? Do you want to experience that tragic life again?" I scolded my heart silently with a deep sigh. 

It would have been better if I was never born as Ha-Eun before! At least, I could have fallen for Noah despite of his efforts this time!

Noah sighed for a while after hanging up. He had a poignant gaze over his face with a gloomy expression.

"I am still a coward I guess! Even today too I hung up on her without being able to bear the rejection! Ahhh, what I am gonna do with this stupid heart?" He murmured softly while looking outside the car.

Soo-Ha's was working hard deliberately to complete the assignment given by Sawako. But it was too difficult, as it was just her second day and almost everything was new to her! While working, she took a glance at her wrist watch, it was around 11.30 am. 

"Miss Ma-eum? Did Mr. Han already arrive?" She sounded a bit curious while asking her.

Ma-eum gave an awful expression to her question. "That lazy CEO always arrives belated and leaves before everyone! He is useless!" She whispered to Soo-Ha while looking around her.

Soo-Ha smiled gently with her answer and glanced at the main entrance unknowingly.

"Wait! Why am I thinking of him while wasting my time? That Sawako gave me so much stress already! Stop thinking about him and focus on your work Soo-Ha!" She murmured slowly on her own while starting to work again...
