Alex's POV:
Soon we reached our office. As I stepped out of the car, a thought struck me for a moment. I was very curious about it.
I turned back slowly towards Mr. Shin while he was following me behind.
"Mr. Shin, I wanna ask you something. Be honest with me!" I inquired him in a deep voice.
"Ye-Yes, sir!" He nodded his head while replying to me.
"Aren't you disgusted of me? After knowing what kind of brutal person I am, why do you still support me?" I was gazing at him with my eyes intensified.
"To...be honest, I don't like some of your works, especially when you order Doctor Oh to kill such patients. I also know you have been transformed into a ruthless person, but I know, you must have your own deep scars which made you the way you are living now! It's a proverb, pain transforms people!" He was speaking very softly while looking down.
I was amazed by his explanation somehow while observing him the way he speaks.
"We all have our traumatic experiences, we all deal with our pain- but still we choose to hide it from the world and live with a mask worn on the outside- that's how life goes on. Maybe behind your wrath and brutal nature, there lies a normal person who wanted to live his life like everyone else..." He continued gently.
I sneered at his honest opinion. Do optimistic people like him still exist?
"Mr. Shin, the world isn't the way it's portrayed in dramas, it's harsh and barbaric! To survive and defeat a monster, you need to become one... That's how I am living this life! But I am surprised with your loyalty, Mr. Shin!" I looked at him with a poignant smile while speaking in a cold yet dense voice.
Mr. Shin was silent for a moment. "It's my concern about you, sir! I care about you because you have no one else to think about you." He spoke firmly while leaving me all surprised by the answer.
"You never fail to shock me!" I praised him with a wide grin over my face.
"I owe you with my life, sir! If you hadn't saved me that day, I could have died on the streets! So, till I find someone reliable to look after you, I won't leave your side!" His eyes looked very sad while he expressed his feelings.
"And you are never allowed to leave me! You need to stay by my side no matter what! And you aren't even allowed to die, Mr. Shin!" I blurted out abruptly as he has been the only person who never left me alone... So the thought of losing him bothers me...
He smiled with my concern for him. "Yes, sir!" He obediently nodded his head.
"Alright, I need your help with a thing! Perhaps we need to leave soon with Luna to Jeju Island, but after today's meeting, I forgot to give her some very important documents left in my car. It's evening now, she should have reached home. Till I am finishing work here, you can go to her mansion and give her these documents. You can leave..." I commanded him firmly while walking hastily inside the office. After getting my order, he immediately took the car and left.

Mr. Shin's POV:
Well, it's my first time visiting the Kim Mansion. As far as I have learned about the chaos going there, the atmosphere must be scary inside! But I can't disobey his orders!
Sometimes, I feel very pity for him... The person has no one else in the world neither to rely on nor to trust. But in my 10 years of work experience, the only person who has affected him in every way is Miss Kim. He must really like her but sadly, can't define his own feelings... The overprotectiveness he always feels towards her is nothing but the emotions of his broken heart.
I wish, someday, I can see him smiling happily with his own family! I hope his cold heart will be melted surely someday, and I wish that person should be Miss Kim...
As I reached the Mansion, I was gawking at the majestic palace! Woah, just rich people things! I entered through the main gate at a slow pace, as I was quite nervous. Basically, I am a bit scared of Miss Kim's cold yet crude nature, what if she outbursts on me?
I gulped anxiously and rang the doorbell. On spur of the moment, someone opened the door.
I was unexpectedly shocked by such a confrontation. A charming lady in her early 40's, wearing beautiful golden spectacles with her tucked behind her ears, gently opened the door. But she was someone...Very familiar to me... An unforgettable person in my life!
Even she was extremely surprised to get an accidental visit from me! She was gawking at me and couldn't utter a single word.
"Li...Lily? Are you Lily?" My voice was completely shaky as well as broken while I asked her in a low tone.
She seemed to be too bewildered to believe her eyes. After a moment of silence, she slowly answered, "Shin? You are... Shin, aren't you?"
"Oh my God! Lily? It's really you? I can't believe it! But you... You were married, right? What are you doing here in Miss Kim's house?" I was totally impatient while asking her several questions at once.
"That's a long story. I had been a widow for 15 years, and from that time I started working here. Sadly, Milady has no one except me to look after her... But, you had settled at Gangnam, right? What are you doing here?" She reciprocated her queries while gazing at me densely.
"I...I am working for Mr. Choi! I am his personal assistant now..." I even forgot to blink for some moment, as I was gasping at her... Though 20 years have passed away between us, in my eyes she still looks the same Lily I knew before! My first and unforgettable love...
"How you have been, Shin? Are you fine?" Her voice seemed broken while she was inquiring me. Though she tried to act firm, her eyes appeared very melancholic...
"I... I have missed you all these years, Lily." I replied to her with a sad smile.
