So a couple years ago my Papaw was diagnosed with cancer for the first time and he had lost a lot of weight and really wasn't looking like himself but he fought hard and went into remission. The this year in November he had to go to the hospital for and emergency surgery and they found out his cancer was back. They found a mass in his brochili tubes in one of his lungs. He started chemo but his cancer started to spread. It is not in both of his lungs his brain colon and I believe intestines. One day after one of his surgeries me, my brother and dad went to visit him and due to Covid-19 only one of us at time could could be in the hospital. So we found somewhere in the shade we we could sit. My aunt is living with him and is his caregiver so she went in first. She then came out told my dad where his room was and he was next and after my dad it was me. I went in and at the doors of the hospital they have people who give you a mask, check your tempre and ask if you have any symptoms. After that i went up to his room and their was a nurse in their giving him medicine. Then because he was just outta surgery he was tired groggy and tired. We would start having a conversation then the nurse would come in asking him a question or giving him medicine. But it was odd seeing him like that lying in a hospital bed. He then told the nurse that I was gonna go into the medical field and how i was gonna be a surgeon. When I would visit him we would talk about graduation and what I wanted to do after high school and when he told the nurse that he had this smile on his face and he looked like he was proud of me. The doctors told us it dosent look like he has much longer but I'm just grateful for the time i can spend with him.
