Chapter 11 The Battle For Control

I look at May in the eyes and she glares at me and slowly gets up, I glare back and she says, "So, in what way is this a fair fight? Huh? Omni God against a human with mind control, I see no way that this could be considered fair." I smile at her and say, "Would you like me to give you divine powers? Is that what you are trying to do?" She nods and I laugh, I think to myself as I lift my hand, "I don't want this to be boring anyways so, now that I have my full abilities back I will give her powers that are.. What if I…" I then say as I snap and restore my fathers powers, "Dad, could you do me a favor?" He then shrugs and says, "Depends on the favor." I then say with a smile, "Would you allow me to use my ability over time and reverse it." He turns his head intrigued and I continue, "Would you allow me to turn back time to allow May's mind to be in my sisters body while I have my now fully awakened powers?"

He grins and says, "There is no rule against creating a separate timeline that won't actually exist, but there is one problem." I look at him and say, "What exactly is the problem?" he then continues and says, "Well.. it would take place within the confines of your mind, I can restrict your control over your mind as to not cheat, but we can do as you asked for, just within the confines of your mind, if we were to do it within actual reality it would be breaking a law, as you know." I nod and he says, "So are you okay with having the battle inside the confines of your mind? Or are you just going to give her your powers?" I look at May then say, "It's up to you, what do you wish to do?" She smiles sinisterly then says, "Killing you in the form of my fallen best friend, sounds like fun!" I turn to my father and say, "Then it's settled, we will have a battle within the confines of my mind." Isabella then says with shared concern of my other friends, "But how will I know what is happening? How will I know if you are winning?"

My father then says, "Well it's quite simple, I can project the events that unfold from his brain onto paper or whatever you guys want me to project it onto, whether it be a television, a computer, a piece of paper, a pot of water, or even a cucumber, well.. The cucumber might be a bad idea, but I can do it." Isabella then says to Terence, "Hey Terry you still have the big tv? You know the one you used to use for gaming?" He nods and she smiles, "Good we can use it as our projection screen." Terence then says, "It's at home, but yeah we can use it, although my house is like a 30 minute drive from the school, If we start running now we can get there in about an hour or so, maybe two." Gil then says, "Or.. or you could have the two god make a huge tv, that sounds like a plausible idea to have." I start to chuckle and say, "How big of a tv are we thinking?" One of the teachers walks up to me and says, "The size of the wall of the gym maybe?"

I shrug and then begin to make a tv, I start with making the outer rims, then make the projection glass then eventually make the circuitry, then my dad pats me on the shoulder and says, "You could have just made a giant black glass pan or something, this is going to project the battle not be a school theater.." I look at him then back at the tv and say quietly, "God damn it.."

I then ready myself and my father says, "I'm ready to transport you when you are." I smile and say, "I'm ready when May is." and she sighs and says, "I've been ready yall just slow.." I glare at her and say, "Do you want me to absolutely destroy you?" She chuckles and says, "From what I heard, you were obliterated by your sister, so I would ask you to be much kinder towards your superiors." I then say, "First off, I didn't want to fight my sister, but she wanted world domination, second off the only reason my sister was able to beat me was because I didn't have access to my actual abilities, my powers had a lock on their full extent for a long time, I only just broke the limiter, and I don't even know why it happened.."

There is then a familiar voice followed by students making wolf whistles and I turn around to see my mother, she then says, "Hi Arc, How have you been?" I smile and say, "Hi mom, I've been well, although I am about to have another life or death battle so.." She walks up to me and ruffles my hair then says, "Arc, we need to talk.. There is something I never told you, nor your father about. And It involves your limiter." I then turn my head in curiosity and say, "Go on.."

She then says with a frown, "First off, I was the one who placed your limiter, and I made it incredibly specific on how it would work and how its activation and deactivation would work. I made It tied to an emotion I tried to keep you away from, since your father was very, very chaotic as a young god, as you know.." She glares at my dad and he rubs the back of his neck and chuckles awkwardly, and she continues, "He was a very dangerous being, not only was he the omni god, but was also the most cruel and evil thing to have any divine powers, and it wasn't even his fault. He was originally supposed to be a dark god and by nature, but he had a fondness for creating life and watching how they acted and reacted, he eventually created the other gods, myself included, your father created then eventually fell in love with me. Then blah blah blah here you are, but before you were born your father slowly began to enjoy the life he created and took it as his greatest accomplishment. And when you were born there was a major problem, we didn't know how you would turn out, and because of that I created your limiter."

My mother then sighs and says, "I'm glad you turned out to be a Lawful.. ish God, but we didn't expect that out of the child of a dark god, also known as Tasf. You are probably curious as to how your limiter works, am I correct?" I nod and she smiles, "Well, do remember when you were a little boy? How I always told you that girls were evil and you should be very wary of them and quite frankly avoid them?" I nod and then say, "I'm so confused, what's the point that you are getting at?" she then says, "Well… I made your limit as to where if your first kiss was someone who actually loved you and wanted only the best for you and the world rather than what your sister wanted.. Thank god she didn't contain any of my genetics, if she did I would have dealt with it myself.. Anyways my point is, If your first kiss was with someone who was only there for your power, you would lose them, but if your first kiss was with someone who loved you, the limiter would break. Do you see where I am going with this?" I begin to nod then shake my head, "No not really.." She laughs, "Your my son, you have my powers as well as your fathers, although because your fathers powers were omnipotent they became dominant, basically making a destiny for you even without you knowing." I go silent and say, "Still drawing a blank here.." My dad then says, "She's basically saying your first kiss will be your lover, and if your lover was evil you would have lost every power you have, but if your lover was good and didn't want to eradicate every single thing that moves then the limiter would break."

I then look at my friends and say, "That is actually worrisome, had Isabella been fake and didn't actually love me i'd be getting my *ss kicked by May right now.. Thanks mom…" My mother then smiles and says, "Your welcome honey, I'm happy you and your sarcasm took the news well." I then chuckle to myself and say, "So May, are you truly ready for this battle or was that just a load of crap just to make yourself feel better about your future loss?" May then sticks her tongue out like a five year old causing me to laugh, and not with her. My dad then says, "Ready yourselves, who ever loses this battle, loses their life.. So Arc, do me a favor.. Don't die." I nod and say, "No promises, but I won't be holding back." Then my vision begins to fade and I hear what sounds like murmuring and then silence.

I stand up and see nothing but sheer darkness, there is nobody around and it feels like I am embedded within my own feelings of solitude, then the darkness starts to fill in, and I am in the highschool, and I see my sister, well May, but that's besides the point, and she smiles and then says, "You know.. This will probably be the most fun I've ever had." I shrug, welcome to godhood, although it will only be until you die, you should enjoy every single moment of pain I give you in return for all the threats you made towards my friends and family, well more specifically my father." May then says, "This is getting to be incredibly boring, are we going to fight or talk about fighting, this feels like an internet ad for a beat down.." I glare and say with a snarl, "Yes we can begin now, Princess." She nods for a moment then freezes, "What.. Did you just call me?" I grimace and say, "You heard me, Princess." She vanishes and I catch her hand right in front of my face and say to her, "If you wanna stand even the slightest chance, be less predictable." I then flip her over my shoulder and say, "The fight has begun." She vanishes once again and then starts making afterimages, and she says, "I'm not used to being this fast, but I will be, I am a fast learner, from all the anime i've watched I know afterimages cause confusion by making you unsure of which is me, so I will attack you with a strategy." I close my eyes and sense her power and learn that she is not any of them, and then I say, "You can stop with the fake afterimages, I know they are all fake." I then hear her say, "Ha, liar there is no way you can know which o…" Her sentence ends as she receives a punch to the gut, she then says in confusion, "How did you know where I was?" I smile and say laughing, "Simple, first off don't believe everything you see in anime, second off there is a reason I didn't use images against my sister, she could just sense my power resonating off of me. That's the same reason she never used afterimages." May then scoffs and says, "This is going to be a lot harder than I thought…" I smile, "I'll give you two options, one you admit defeat right now and I spare you, or two you continue to fight me and when you lose you will actually die."

She then says, "You really think i'm going to just give up and tuck my tail between my legs and run? Ha, you are incredibly stupid if you actually expect that to happen." I then laugh remembering all the memes on the internet and say, "So you have chosen death?" she rolls her eyes and says, "That's mine line loser." I then tap her nose, "You're funnier than I thought." she grabs the color of my shirt and pulls me close to say, "Never touch my nose again." I smile and say with a laugh, "Alright." then I headbut her and throw her onto the ground." She stands up and runs at me and right as she went to swing vanished then appeared on the bleachers and she pointed the tips of her fingers at the ground then pulled her hand back and I jump back as spear pillars of metal stab out of the ground where I used to be, I then say, "Holy crap!" She laughs and then lifts her hand and the metal pillars raise with it and float, she then motions towards me with her hand and the pillars fly straight at me giving me only a split second to dodge. May begins to laugh sinisterly and the ground turns red with what seems to be blood, and i'm surrounded by my dead friends and parents

As I drop to the ground and start crying I hear a voice within my head say, "I know how hard this might be, but I want you to listen to me, those are all just mirages, illusions, it's not real, everyone is ok, May is using her mind control ability, only thing is she is infusing it with godly energy which is upgrading her ability. Close your eyes and focus on nothing but the enemy in front of you. If you don't ignore the illusions, she will win." I then sigh and close my eyes and sense May's energy and the moment I can feel it I run straight at her and as I get close I hear a whoosh and duck and catch her spear which she aimed at my head, then when I'm directly in front of her I stab the spear deep into her heart and say, "You can threaten me, you can call me names, you can do anything to me, but you do not, and I mean you do not harm or even threaten to harm anyone I care about, that is where you made your first and last mistake, this was a fairly pathetic fight, but I am not surprised after all you didn't even know how to fight with my sisters powers, you have no chance from the start. Although, I will ask you what your final words are before I finish this." She spits up blood and says, "I have a few, one Go to Hell, two your father is a disgrace, and three, You should have died, not her." I shrug then say, "Is that all?" she nods then I twist the spear killing her and then I say, "Im ready to return to the real word."

My vision slowly fades then its pitch black again and within what seemed like an eternity later I regain sight and I am back out of the confines of my mind, I have regained consciousness. I watch as all of the students of the school stand up, I then turn around to see a smile on my friends face and Isabella then says, "Im glad your ok, and while you were gone your mother asked me a question, and I didn't know the answer, could you answer it for us?" I shrug, "If you and my mom don't know I doubt I will, but I will try." She smiles then says, "Are we dating?" I shrug, "I have no Idea, if you think we are then yeah, but if not no. I am not only immortal, but also have no reason to worry, if you wanna date I'm cool with dating, but if not oh well." Isabella then says, "So… is that a yes?" I sigh, "I think I know how to find out." She gets a confused look and says, "What do you mean?" I then pull her close and say, "Will you be my girlfriend?"
