The Invitation

Adonis's POV

As I stared at Maya's beautiful face, I remember all the memories we had, and I hate myself for hurting her feelings, and right now, as I listened to her words, my heart is in pain. I couldn't believe the girl who used to love and adore me now turned out to hate me. I can see it in her eyes. And I wonder if I can make her love me again. I think I lost my chance to be with her and to win back her love for me.

My heart is in pain as I saw her ride her horse and gallop without looking back at me. The hurtful words she uttered make my heart bleed in grief. I know that the pain I feel right now is nothing compared to the sufferings I made her experienced from the time I left her seven years ago, and I made it worse when I get back in the country without showing myself to her. I thought protecting Maya was the best thing I can ever do for her, but it seems it was all useless because I made her life a living hell.
