Mary’s Visit

Adonis's POV

I felt restless as I wait for Maya to get out of her car, and it feels like everything turned into slow-motion like in a movie except the rapid beating of my heart. The moment the driver's seat opened, I wouldn't say I like the suspense that I feel. I can't control the trembling of my hands as I looked at her shoes on the ground, and I need to tighten up my grip on the armrests of my wheelchair. I am afraid to lift my head when I heard the loud bang as she closed her car door, but my emotions changed when I managed to raise my head, and I saw Mary striding towards me.
