The Way He Looked At Me

Lisa's POV

"Thank you, Maya, and now you made me realize what a horrible person I am by running away from you without telling you anything. I promised you before I leave, I will tell you everything you needed to know why I left." I declared, and I felt so happy that at last, I'd seen my best friend. I have been longing for this moment to see her, but not this time that I am mourning my father's death.

"I will always be here waiting for you to tell me everything, and I don't want to pressure you, Lisa. And I know whatever your reason is, it should be big enough that you didn't even tell me about it, and I could tell you are suffering." She replied.

"I know your personality, Lisa. I know how strong you are, and you are always a fighter because you never back down with any trouble ever since we were kids, and I wonder why you suddenly left without a trace." Maya added, and this time, she no longer held her tears.
