Frank pokes his head out of the railing to see his former, 1 minute cell-mates surrounding Gretal. Though he knows that they can handle themselves, he still can't help but feel uneasy.
"Humanoids like you should just stay at home," the leader throws their head back with a cackle." Weaklings, why are there so many of you here?" another asks.
"This stereotype needs to go," Frank grumbles as he easily tip-toed down the stairs.
"You," one point from behind the leader," you're coming with us," he adds.
"Says who?" Frank asks.
"Says me".
Frank looks at Gretal in surprise, for they were the one to say it inside of the band of lizards there. He narrows his eyes.
"Why would you want me gone?" he blurts before he could realize how wrong that could sound, as if he didn't want to leave and was hurt? Gretal seems to have think so too given that she looks rather surprise for once, but it only lasted a second.
"Your friend, he's quite useful to our cause," Gretal explained. They turn to them," we have a ride, but we're trying to find someone," they adds," a humanoid like us".
"We'll go and find it for you, we'll meet at the hangar," the leader grins, teeth sharp as he leads the gang away.
"Because? He'll die before he'll do something for someone else," he hisses.
"Oh I'm sure he's not that bad," Gretal replies in amusement.
"What makes you think so?"
"You're alive and well,"
"..."
It's like one of those people, think that just because one is clothes, well fed and with a ton of money that there is no trouble, no hate, like he loves to live his life. That thought left a bitter taste in his mouth, must he be naked, with a skeleton body and can't be told apart from dirt to be not well off? Unbeknownst to the ugly thoughts of Frank, Gretal walks towards the hangar, Frank drags his feet over. He thinks back, he remembers a ship that was similar to his, if he could break in he will be able to escape.
He takes a pistol from the side that is meant for the guards and as they enter the hangar, he loads the gun to shoot the lock when something hit his back, making him stumble forth, almost dropping the gun in his hands.
"Slow poke," the half dragon grins. Gretal looks at him, then at Frank who is caught with a gun. They raise an eyebrow. Fuki squeezes through from the half dragons who were laughing with an annoyed look and quickly jogs over to Frank.
"Let's go," Fuki replies, apparently suggesting that they escape, Frank was quite slow witted however and Gretal grabs the gun out of his hands and breaks it.
"Come on," they reply nonchalantly before climbing onto the ship. Merquri was eating something when she drops the biscuit when she saw the half dragons.
"It's fine," Gretal reassures as they all shuffle in eagerly. Frank and Fuki had to wait for them to shuffle in before entering themselves.
"We'll be quick," Gretal replies but no one knows who that is for, they didn't bother to ask as some buckles in while some explores the place like it's a museum or their home, poking their nose into everything.
"Jeez, this isn't your house you know," Frank grumbles, he grins cheekily when the ship lifts off, making them stumble a little at the sudden movement.
They finally stopped snooping and sat down, clinging onto something they can find as the ship goes into hyperdrive. The ship finally slows to a stop and they relax a little. Frank unbuckles his seat belt and turns behind him, where the leader of the group sat. When he say leader, it's mostly because of his a little bigger than the rest and he seems to be the one taking charge a lot.
"Say, I've lived with Greg for 10 years now, how come I never heard of you?" he asks.
"bah! 10? I've known him for hundreds of years!" he exclaims." I'm Jett, the dragonborn!"
"Doesn't ring a bell..." Frank mutters.
"I lead the dragonborns into glory a long time ago, even if it's been a while since I've last seen him, we were glorious bond brothers! Of course something personal can't be shared with someone like you,"
Sure he didn't tell him his life story, but Frank didn't hear any of the other mates say anything about a dragonborn too, also aren't dragons old? He looks at Gretal who is missing from the driver's seat. He assumes that they went to stop the others from going into any personal or secret rooms.
From his expression, Jett's expression falters a little but a little anthropoid can't deter him. Frank checks the coordinates they were going at, it seems that Jett have told them a coordinate... but like most others, the gang must be in their ship somewhere, usually they only return to their base every half a year to just party more than anything. He tries to count how long has it been since he last saw them and was rather worried, unable to stop fidgeting.
The planet their base is on is rather easy to spot, a blue ball of dark mountains, rocks and oceans, but their base is probably not easy to spot, blending into the planet's grounds. He ain't going to tell them where though and would happily watch them search the planet like looking for a camouflaged animal in a dark ass seabed.
The ship twirls around a little with a flashlight, if there were anyone in base, they probably would have left already with the hella obvious light trying to find something. Greg and the guys have long stripped the planet of it's resources hence why they manage space travel. So there was no reason why someone would search for resources here.
They didn't kill however unless it was their own or an enemy, they would probably ignore them especially since this ship was an unknown type. They wouldn't be dumb ... right?
Finally, the ship manages to find something that looks like a door, Frank winces despite telling himself not to react but the door looks un-kept and frozen. He ain't touching that. But it seems that he sarcastically worried for nothing because Gretal raises their hand and the door knocks before opening.
"Anybody home?" they ask, they are met with no reply. Frank looks rather relieved that there wasn't but they move the ship into the base anyway. Frank sighs internally, he wouldn't hear the end of it when they check the cameras to find him with this group.
They land onto an open space where there are a few familiar looking ships around. Frank was relieved -again- when he sees that the big boss's ship is missing, meaning they are most likely out. But it could be that only Greg went out... without him... I doubt the crew would show him some mercy.
He looks dejected as they shuffle out, even Merquri didn't seem to follow him anymore, following Gretal's lead instead. He wants to stay here looking at Fuki who won't move until he does, he was quite happy about that despite being a silent company. Gretal walks behind Jett who eagerly dashes towards the pantry. He immediately dived for the fridge. Ignoring the hungry half breeds, Gretal walks up to the second floor, surprised that there was one seeing as they didn't see any building at all. But there was only two doors upstairs and it's locked.
Gretal then goes back down to find the levels below. As they walk down the stairs, they can hear music. Seems like someone is here after all.
