Greg (part 2)

Frank swiftly dodges Diana's hand much to her dismay as they were the only one sat in the training room at the lowest floor. They were in the waiting room while Greg and Gretal were in the arena. He offhandedly pats Diana's head and her face lights up in happiness as he looks down at where he practically couldn't see what they were doing. It's those- too fast to be seen kind of fights, he raises a special pair of glasses that slows down things.

Diana hops up a bit, trying to grab that sunglasses but she is just too short.

Frank ignores her and looks at the fight. Gretal was already high up in the sky, Greg is on the ground, surprisingly still unscathed. Well, Frank frowns looking back at forth among them. He doesn't know how to read power levels, though Greg was smaller than Gretal.

Gretal leaps towards him, flashing brightly in pink, the fight he is seeing right now is slowed so it's quite fascinating and beautiful to watch. Though not so much about Greg... he's just using his gun to shoot at him.

"I can't see anything!" Diana exclaims.

Frank swats her hand away and looks ahead. This time it seems Greg is gaining the upper hand, his shot actually managed to damage them. Frank frowns at the blood colour... red-

'Are you sure you aren't human?!' he exclaims in his head because they can't exactly hear him right now.

Gretal however didn't seem all that deterred. They easily knock Greg into the wall with an energy attack and lands on their feet, not breathing all that heavily. Frank blinks and the wound has already patched itself, he frowns, not knowing if it's just his imagination.

"Not bad," Greg smirks. He lands heavily onto the ground, his back dripping dark green. Frank's eyes widen, it was the first time he had seen Greg bleed so much. He was a little worried... call it a little bit attachment and tries not to bolt into the arena.

"But I still see it as just a lucky shot," Greg replies.

"Luck can also be manipulated through magic," Gretal replies.

"..." Greg seems rather interested in that, he leans against the wall, looking up at them." How so?" he asks.

"Luck, like everything in the universe, flows on energy," Gretal adds. Frank is upstairs, unable to hear anything.

"..." Greg glances at Frank before shifting his eyes to Gretal," can magic help me control people?" he asks.

Gretal purses their lips, not missing the way he glances away. They weren't sure what the relationship with Frank was like but they are sure it's not as simple as Frank would think.

"Yes, but that'll be up to you to learn and harness it," Gretal replies.

"..." Greg stands up, as if not losing a lot of blood, he staggers towards the exit. Gretal raises her hand and the wound behind his back is sealed off. Greg pauses and straightens his back.

"There are a lot of things magic can do," Gretal adds," it's rare I'd give anyone magic either, if possible I'd like not to because it belongs to only my kind," they replies.

Greg smirks," your kind? last I check magic was destroyed," he says while his footsteps slowed down.

"It still lives on... and I think you know where," both of them unconsciously looks up at the waiting room at the same time but Frank wasn't watching them anymore.

He is on the couch closing his eyes from all the flashing lights he just saw in slow motion. Diana has already made his whole shoulder ache. Next thing he knew, he was on a bed, a slightly foreign yet familiar one. It's his room in the base.

He looks down at the familiar furred stuffed monster at his bed. Looking at it no longer, he shuffles out of bed, seems that someone changed his clothes too. He didn't really want to think about it and shuffles out after putting on a fresh set of clothes.

He pokes his head into the kitchen, he finds Gretal there, which is oddly reassuring. They are however eating Greg's favourites so he isn't too sure he is relieved to see that. He walks over to them and opens the fridge, most of them eat about the same as he does and the food that they got from other planets could last weeks. He takes a bottle of a branded food and boils the water.

"We are leaving now, so I suggest bringing that with you," Gretal replies.

"How the hell-" he mutters, rubbing his eyes," could I at least change?" he asks.

"Change in the ship," their tone was final as they walk out of the pantry. Afraid that they'll leave him behind, he grabs a pair of fresh clothes and a gun before dashing towards the hangar. He looks at Greg with a pause who was a feet into the ship. The engine starts and he had no time to think before climbing onto the ship.

For some reason however the half dragons seems to be missing from the ship. All that's left is him, Merquri, Fuki, Gretal and-

"Aw, look at that,"

This is going to be a long trip...
