LIII. A New Tool.

"Where are we going, Vanilla?" Rowie asked. His owner was getting her stuff ready: her trustable leather jacket and boots, a red ribbon on her messy hairs, and Avrevm Bacvlvm packed in her pockets.

That Saturday Carol would be out of home, and would not return until late at night, giving Vanilla a relatively free day, without her restrictions and specific hours she was supposed to meet.

"We are going to meet The Contractor," She responded. "He wants to see me in the swamps, in the same burned house where it all started." She sighed.

After the morning when she had that weird dream, The Contractor took three days to contact her after that night of zombies, cultists, and treasures.

But only until that moment, she felt as if that being was using her for a real purpose, instead of just making her suffer against lesser beings for their own twisted amusement.
