In an ancient town of catholic roots in the Pre-War America of 1935, strange events and phenomena often manifest in the worst of their forms. 

Vanilla Land, a 16 years old outcast and weirdo with access to magical plushes —ancient and powerful totems capable of summoning powerful spirits and powers for its users— loves to explore wicked places, investigate mysteries, and even fight horrid abominations when necessary. 

And it's in one of these explorations where she suddenly meets her abrupt when she and a powerful apparition destroy each other. The result? A powerful, demonical entity is impressed by her actions and gives her a second opportunity to live again.

She must perform a series of tasks for such an entity —not without getting rewarded with more powerful artifacts and plushes— but in the end, everything points out that there's an ancient source of power capable of redefining reality. And she's not the only one trying to reach it...

Contracts With the Void

"Resistance is your most basic attribute. It measures how much physical stress and damage your body can take, how much stamina you have, as well as your lunge capacity. Increase each level by 8%, with a maximum of 80%. Use 1 point to increase this attribute? Increases left: 10/10. Yes/No."

"The more you increase it the more expensive it will be to boost it again, remember that. Increase it 1 point so we move to the next one." The Contractor signaled.

Well, with 10 points left, she pressed the 'yes' button, and the 'increases left' line changed from 10/10 to 9/10. A bar with ten-block levels also appeared next to the info square.

The nine golden rectangles at the top were all empty, except for the one at the bottom, which that increase just filled in the same color.

She felt goosebumps on her back, but nothing that made her feel particularly different.
