CXIV. Sharing Fantasy.

The two girls and puppy didn't find any obstructions on their way back to the Land Residence. Once they were outside of it, Cookie helped Vanilla climb up the cobblestone fence, where Vanilla helped her in return to climb above. Rowie was on their backs, so he didn't give much trouble, besides Cookie almost losing equilibrium and falling into a trash bin.

With the three of them inside, they crossed the dead garden and got inside the gothic building through the same window they used to escape. Mr. Robinson, the watchman was as asleep and drunk as when they saw him the last time; with his bottle of liquor in one hand and his straw hat covering his head. Heavy snoring came from his place.

And like stealthy cats, they made their way through the tall corridors of the residence and climbed all the way up to Vanilla's room at the dusty attic. The three yawned and stretched their bodies as they crossed the door. Vanilla locked it from inside and turned the light switch on.
