I'll be her partner

Days passed by quickly after the battle on the grounds. It's currently thursday and it's morning, nothing unusual I encountered so far.

I entered the study hall, I noticed Charm was sitting beside the chair I usually sat on. Should I sit there or not?

"Hey!" She said when I get near her.

"Hey..." I trailed off, not really sure if I'm going to add words. I sat beside her.

"I thought you're going to ignore me." She said.

"Well... all of the students seems to forgot about the incident, I think we should also." It haven't really crossed my mind these days.

"I noticed you've been hanging out with them lately."

"Them?" I asked her.

"Sasha, Licia, Siche and Blaze." Well.

"Yes. I don't think they're someone I should beware of." I told her honestly.

"If that's what you think." She said.

"Hey me being friends with them has nothing to do with me being friends with you." Her eyes lit up.

"You want me to be your friend?" She asked me surprised.

"I wanted... And I really thought we were. Not until you threw me that soup and pour me a milk." I said while laughing.

"Hey I'm sorry." I can see the sincerity on her eyes.

"It was long forgotten, but just so you know... I really hate milk."

She chuckled. "That's why you threw a fit?"

"Pretty much why." We both laughed. "What happened back then?" I asked her pertaining to her outburst on the cafeteria.

"It's just that I easily get mad, and I do unpleasant things when I am." Maybe she has anger managements. "And I think that's why your friends hate me so much."

"Maybe I should tie you up when you're mad." I laughed.

"Thank you for wanting me as a friend."

"You remind me of someone I knew. And I feel comfortable around you since the day we met." I smiled at her. We saw Siche and Sasha entered the door and they look at us.

"Gotta go. We can't really be in the same place at the same time." We laughed and then she left.

"Got your bestfriend back?" Sasha teased me.

"Oh shut up." I smiled while rolling my eyes at her. She sat at the chair Charm was sitting at earlier and Siche sat beside her. I raise an eyebrow at her.

"What? Did Charm cast a spell on this chair?" She said sarcastically.

"I think I should." I told her.

"Hey have you seen Blaze?" Why is she looking for Blaze? I suddenly felt... I don't know, different? I never felt that way before.

"You're the one who should have." I said not looking at her.

"Siche?" She then asked Siche and he just shrugged. "Where could he be? I have something to tell him." She said, more like asking herself. "Anyway, do you know we're having cross-classes with seniors at last friday of this month?"

I suddenly got curious. "What's that?"

"Hey don't make it too obvious that you like Harris." Siche said with a laugh.

"What? I like him? No!" They both shrugged. "So what's cross-classes?"

"As simple as it sounds. We're having mixed classes." Sasha answered.

"I think my mind is too dull to process even the simple terms. Can you please elaborate?" Sasha laughed.

"Ok. It's a special class where juniors and seniors would be attending the same class at the same time. The council thought that the fight yesterday was pretty intense, so they're trying to set a cooperative learning with the both of us. They think we should bond more often to avoid personal rivalry." She explained.

"Should they really make a big deal out of it? I mean it's normal, or more like usual, for students to compete with others. It's not like they can eliminate it. Even without the battle yesterday, there would still be rivalry."

"At least they tried. And you know what? Last year they even held a retreat for the juniors and seniors. I hope it happens again." She sounded so excited.

"Sasha come here!" A girl yelled to her.

"What!?" She yelled back.

"I said come here!" The girl told her.

"Who are you to order me around?" I can sense an incoming fight.

"You'd rather stay with that bitch now?" That bitch must be me. Why am I involved now? Sasha went to their seat, and they were shouting with each other.

"Am I in trouble?" I asked Siche and we both laughed. He then went to his regular chair, two seats away from me. Minutes later, the room was full and Sir Zach entered. I looked around, where's Blaze? My eyes met with Siche, he's confused why I kept looking around. I mouthed him 'Blaze?' and he just shrugged. What happened with him?

"And I watched you yesterday and I was so amazed with all of you." He was talking since earlier but I wasn't focused. "Especially with you, Ms. Natalia. Blaze did a good job teaching you." The whole class turned to me.

"Thank you, Sir." And I smiled at him.

"I noticed some of you went up against each other?" The students burst in shouts. I looked at Sasha and Licia, they are both frowning to each other but they're also laughing. "It just happened that the activity I prepared for today will be by twos, I want those who went up against each other yesterday to be paired up. And for those who didn't, you have the freedom to choose who you want." The students began to stand up and find their partners. Who should I ask? Sasha and Licia are sure partners. I looked at Charm, she seems to have one already so is Siche. Everyone seemed to have already got a partner except me. "Anyone without a partner?" Sir Zach asked and I raised my hand. "Class' leader? Siche? I thought the whole class counts even?" Siche is the class' leader?

"Sir, Blaze is not yet here."

"Until Blaze arrives, I'll be her partner." The girls shouted in dismay. Well, I got a handsome teacher for a partner, this is gonna be... awkward. "Everyone listen to the instruction." The room hushed.
