This new world sucks!
A common fantasy for many people is being a billionaire, to have the wealth to do anything they want but this goal is impossible for many to reach but not for lee who is the sole heir to a tech billionaire so life for him is perfect and right now he sleeps comfortably knowing this.
"where am I," Lee said waking up in a mysterious forest, he stood up and looked around and realised the sprawl of buildings that made up the city the he had lived in all his life was nowhere to be seen "have I been kidnap" Lee thought to himself, suddenly he started hear growling behind him then it got louder lee turned around and saw a wolf-like creature it had razor-sharp claws and misshapen dagger like teeth lee quickly ran as fast as he could through the forest trying to find a way to escape the beast what was chasing him but than Lee tripped over and the wolf pounced than suddenly like lightning a girl sliced the wolf in half and helped lee up.
"your welcome" Lee said arrogantly
"well your welcome civilian but you should be more careful wait what do you mean your welcome I helped you I saved your life you should be thanking me" the girl said slightly annoyed
"I know it must be amazing for hero like yourself to save someone as great as me so I understand why you just disrespect me like that" Lee said even more arrogantly
"Well nobody called me a hero so thank you and sorry for disrespecting wait no you are disrespecting me I saved your life and this is how you act I was going to give you a ride to town but I guess I won't" the girl said getting on her horse and slowly riding off
"you won't abandon me like this" Lee shouted
"you are too nice to leave me" Lee shouted loudly as the girl got further away.
"why did I help him" the girl mumbled as she and Lee rode into town
"I didn't get know your name yet what is it" Lee asked the girl
"it's kara" she said well getting off the horse "my name is Lee and you should feel lucky knowing it" he said making kara regret her decions to help him even more, Lee examined the town and saw that most people had a weapon of some sought
"hey kara why does everyone have an weapon" Lee asked confused and concerned
"Well all the knights had to leave to fight in the war people had to buy weapons to defend themselves against the monster attacks wait now that I think about why don't you have an weapon" kara inquired
"I don't need such barbaric things" Lee said in a very evasive manor
"you sound like a noble" kara said laughing slightly
"anyway what are we doing here" Lee said following kara into a large building
"I'm finding a quest to do because I'm an adventurer and I don't what you are doing" kara said examining a quest board
"I am going to become an adventurer" Lee said proudly
"What! You can't be an adventurer it's too dangerous" kara said flustered
"I know but I have you as a partner so I should be fine" Lee stated
"how do you know I will be your partner?!" kara questioned
"well you are too nice to let me do something as dangerous as being an adventurer by myself" Lee said arrogantly
"fine I will be your partner let's go to the guild desk to get you an rank" kara said defeated
Lee followed kara into a large room filled with people and as lee's eyes looked around the room and saw two people watching him but he decided to ignore it and kept on following kara, they arrived at an desk with giant man wearing bulky metal armour
"oh kara you are back and who is this with you" the man said in a dry tone
"this is lee I found him being attacked by dagger wolf and he wants to be an adventurer" kara explained
"you are welcome to meet me" lee said greeting the man
"hi I'm castle you are really annoying" castle still in a very dry tone
"he wants to be adventurer" kara added
"okay let's check your rank" Castle said reaching under the desk and placing a black disc on the desk
"what do I do with this" lee asked slightly confused
"place your hand on the disc" Castle explained, Lee put his hand on the disc and suddenly light emitted from the disk than castle held an piece of paper over the disc and symbols were printed onto the paper
"okay let's read your stats you have five in strength, ten in agility, fifteenth in speed, zero in weapon skills and ten in magic you have terrible stats so your rank is E" Castle said as blunt as possible, after hearing this lee stumbled back nervously
"hey calm down down at least you have fifteenth in speed" kara said trying to cheer him up
"yea...yeah! I am great aren't I you really understand my genius don't you kara" Lee said nervously
"hey you are back to your old self I guess that's a good thing" kara said slightly regretting her decision to cheer up lee
"anyway now that I'm an adventurer let's buy me some gear" Lee said triumphantly
"I would buy you armor and a weapon but I just spent alot of money on this sword" kara said unsheathing an great-sword
"but I do have this dagger I had it as a backup in a fight but I never had to use so here" kara added while throwing lee the dagger and it's sheath
"I guess this will work for the quest" Lee said slightly disappointed.
"so what is the quest exactly" Lee asked as he and kara walked up a grassy hill towards a group of monsters,
"well a group of stone-lizards have been harassing some livestock so we have to kill them, we are actually lucky stone-lizards make good armor" kara said unsheathing her blade
"yes finally I can perform my first of many great feats of greatness, my name will be know all around the wo..." Lee said before a stone-lizard grabbed him and ran off
"KARA HELP!" Lee shouted as the lizard picked up speed and started to run even faster.
