Chapter 49: Getting Ready to see Charles

I opened the door to my room, finally taking a calming breath. It wasn't the most intimidating conversation I had with my mother, but it definitely was nerve-racking in some ways.

I go to my dresser and take the letter out, clenching it in my hand tight. "I got this, I got this and I'm so much closer to-to-!" I graze my brown face and there is clear liquid dripping yet again. I couldn't stop crying and my hand wouldn't stop shaking, was I really this nervous? This unnerved by something I decided to go through with? Rene' said this would be dangerous, that she didn't want me in this but what choice do I have? Who will save her if I don't?

I take out the Emerald Hair Pendant from my hair and set it back into its special case. I let down my hair and run my fingers through it, as it feels relieving with it down. "I should take a shower really quickly, I am quite indecent. Charles didn't say so in front of me but everyone know a lady with class shouldn't sweat or be indecent even in front of workers." Did I even consider Charles a normal Seamstress to me? Or did he mean much more?

I went over and choose a simple blue dress, with black buttons down the top, and white ruffles on the ends. It's one of my favorite outfits and Rene' would love it when I would put my hair up, she said it reminded her of a little princess, a "Little Dove" she would call me.

I set the dress on my fluffy bed and walk over to my washroom to take a shower. There is another closet in my washroom and I also have little porcelain statues around the sink area. Statues of various animals that represented Wealth and Good Fortune. Like: Rabbits, Elephants, Goldfish, Deer, and sorts like that, elegant, graceful animals. Every trait that I should be and should resemble, yet my fragile body lacks behind, even with all the training and hard work, I am and forever will be a mouse. Small and easy to kill.

Thank you to Nostalibra for keeping my hopes up when I was down. I am forever grateful to you <3, my dearest friend. -A Squared
