Chapter 52: Victor and the Ring Of Death

My Mother always said that the color of red was the color of death. Dark red being the whole symbolism of the meaning, but this ring however was an exception.

It also carried the message of death and the pure beating heart of my first cousin Victor Acres. Victor was a very flirty spirit, never actually having the pure thought of settling down but moreover the infatuation with the bodies of others. Women being his favorite, and he never actually let me see his girlfriends for very long, but I do remember there were a lot of them.

So many in fact to where I eventually lost count of all the names, there was one however that I never knew the name to. The one that he got this ring for and I would hear him talk about her, being the love of his long life. Her hair being silky as the fairest clothing you could think of and her body, being something of deepest, desirable fire he said.

I have no idea what that means even today but I do know he would talk about her a lot and I personally always tried to find out who she was but after he was banished… I never saw him again or heard the tales of the woman he truly fell in love with. All I have left of him is this ring, the ring in which Rene' found ironically and now I keep it in a broken dear statue.

How tragic is that?
