Varieties (2/3)

Actually, this chapter takes place on Lisa's side of the story in chapter 13.

Lisa's Point Of View.

Okay, let me clarify...

As a result, I am now blind and wearing a mask. Snorting isn't something I'm capable of Something terrible occurred to me! I don't understand why I have to wear this mask. As I sit here, I'm waiting for the loud signal to appear. In a few minutes, the signal should arrive.

Tring…

"Ok, cut!! The team did a fantastic job...", As the action comes to a close, the director leaves.

"Guys, thank you for all your hard work! It's just a matter of finishing one scenario. Do you know what is the last scene going to be like? It's a scene that'll capture your attention from the moment you start reading the screenplay."

"That's OK. Be prepared for the reveal! What are you waiting for, director?", the last scene is going well for me.

Do you know where I am right now? On the set of my upcoming movie, yes. We are dealing with a sort of action movie that has been planned for years. A bright idea, though, came from the director, who recommended that I execute it when we meet. When I read the script, even if it was a copy, I find it enjoyable.

While my mum was on the phone, I sat in my tent chair.

"Is that true? Alright…"

"What? Want her to come to your house?"

"That's not possible for me to accomplish it."

My mother has gone from calm to angry. While she strives to make her daughter the best version of herself, she fails to do the same for herself. My mother left me with that sensation, and it's still there for me to experience. Is it because she wants to be better than me that she makes me the first to go? You'd think she'd know what kind of personality it takes to be perfect.

"I'm sorry for making you nervous, sweetheart," she said.

"Next week his daughter's birthday party is being hosted by a douchebag who wants you to attend."

"What's the problem?"

"Next week, you'll attend the launch of your new venture. Because this will be your first project as a producer, I'm sure it'll be exciting!! I congratulate you on your success!", Mom demonstrated her joy to me by smiling at me.

"Me? Are you serious?? That's not going to happen... For me, mum, that's a tremendous step."

"I'm sure you're aware, aren't The director, however, is the most important thing to know."

"Who is it?"

"You'll find out next week if you go."

"Alright, mom."

Who is this person that mom mention?

That day I got a call from a friend saying I'd made it to the news. "You'll be in a movie titled Let Me Choose You, directed by Maria Fantasia", she said to me. My ears are ringing from what I've heard. I'll be working with Maria Fantasia, right? That's not going to happen. I scream and run around the mansion. I'm exhausted.

So, I turn on my smartphone and check my social media accounts.

It's a big deal! Lisa Hanugrah will star in Maria Fantasia's adaptation of Let Me Choose You.

Are you kidding me? Wow, I can't believe that.

"I'm collaborating with Maria Fantasia! This is a story that I need to post on my social media feeds."

Shared on social media, the news has gone viral. For working with such a renowned director, many of my fans despise me. Some people, on the other hand, claim that she was a bully who pushed the actors to their boundaries in her movies. It doesn't matter to me.

However, is this the right solution for people who are dealing with controversial actors? Or is it a large step?
