Dinner Drama

Hermione gasped as she saw her new room.

It was simply decorated but with such elegance and class that Hermione felt herself turning meek in front of it. The walls were painted red and golden, her house colors with a queen-sized bed with the same color sheets, in the middle of the big room with lamps on both sides.

A big window covered by silk curtains, a glass cabinet in the corner and a dressing table sat beside the bed. There A door leading to her own, individual bathroom Hermione noticed with a grin. No more waiting outside for others to finish their business.

Stretching her arms she fell on the bed, basking in the silky softness before grudgingly getting up and starting to unpack and set all her things in the room.

Draco was indifferent to his new room.

Sure the colors were nice, he thought as he stared at the silver-green colors of Slytherin adorn the walls and fabrics of the room. His room back at home was much better.

Designed pretty similarly to Hermione's room and a door leading to his bathroom, which he decided to check later, not particularly interested in unpacking he laid on his bed staring at the ceiling wondering what the girl next door to him must be doing.

Before becoming a Veela and meeting Hermione, Draco didn't have anyone other than himself occupying his thoughts, but now it seems like she has become the queen of his heart, mind, and soul without even doing anything.

Although one question had gotten stuck in his mind; 'Now what?'

Hermione heard a knock on the door as she was stretching after putting away the last of her books in the cabinet, which served as both a closet and a cabinet for her.

Curious, she opened the door before coming face to face with Malfoy's chest.

'How is he so tall?'

"Yes?" Hermione asked not knowing what else to say. She was still finding it hard to accept the reality. She didn't want to be a mate, let alone his.

Draco cleared his throat causing her to lift her eyelids and focus on the handsome face in front of her.

"I just wanted to tell you that I am leaving to get dinner." He gulped nervously before leaving her standing confused at her door.

"Oh...Ok?"

'Stupid Draco!' He chastised himself walking towards the great hall, 'You were supposed to ask her to walk together.'

Even his back seemed miserable as he walked downstairs alone.

The dinner was going peacefully in the great hall with the students and teachers chattering amongst themselves, enjoying the magical feasts.

But not all.

Blaise Zabini was scooting further and further away from his best friend scared for his life, keeping his head low and silently praying for the chatterbox in front of them to stop and leave before someone lost their patience.

The said friend was too occupied glaring viciously at a certain another blonde who dared to enchant his mate with his irritating baby blue eyes. The spoon in his hand was nearing its demise as his hold on it got stronger imagining it to be the russian blonde's neck, 'whatever his name is' he thought, 'Evie? ' 'Ivy?'

He felt a hand being placed on his other hand which was lying on the table, and he immediately recoiled from the unwanted touch snatching his hand back and glaring at the invader of his personal space.

"Why don't you leave us alone Pansy? Take your miss loyalty and don't grace us with your presence anytime soon." Draco snarled, fed up with her and her annoying presence.

"Why do you say that Draco? " Pansy purred thinking it would make her more appealing to the male in front of her. "You've been so tense since coming back, I just want to try and help you." she tried putting her hand on his again, but before she could he pulled it out of her reach glaring menacingly at her before turning his attention back at Hermione.

He saw the blue-eyed blonde poke her cheek with his ridiculously small, baby-like fingers (Draco scoffed) causing Hermione to giggle and blush. Blaise followed his gaze and placed a hand on his friend's shoulder to try and calm him down.

"Leave, Pansy," Blaise said firmly. The girl grudgingly got up and left with her friend.

"Draco, mate.Uh! So how is the new dorm!" Blaise asked a bit over-excitedly in hopes of distracting his friend.

But not everything is as simple as eating a cake, right?

"Good." was the short reply.

Before Blaise could try again to make small talk, Draco fisted his hands and with a force unbeknownst to him, he sent the bench on which he, along with several other of his housemates, was sitting a good few feet back as he stood up, causing many to lose balance and fall face-first into their food or the floor. Half the hall entered into full chaos as they tried to make sense of what just happened.

Blaise got up from the floor and ran after him trying to steer his path away from the Gryffindor table. But the poor student's mightiest pushes and pulls failed as he felt himself being dragged towards the Gryffindor table by his furious Veela friend.

Draco covered the distance in a few strides of his long legs and reached where the golden trio was sitting along with Ginny and that blonde pouty mouthed git.

His eyes started to lose it's white around the irises and turned a striking silver color as the veins on his arms popped out. He grabbed Ivan's throat with so much force that the boy began losing color in a few seconds, turning ghostly pale. Combined efforts of Harry, Ron, and Blaise to save Ivan seemed to fail miserably until a voice cried out his name with so much anger and horror.

"Draco!"
