Away from all this chaos today Cally was taking Anna hospital along with her. Today is Anna's last session therapy. It's been a month since she started it and she feels it worked quite well.
"Today's weather is quite refreshing isn't it?" Cally said and Anna nodded along.
"It's not too hot or too cold just so perfect and...after that chaotic night it's nice to see such nice weather," Anna added.
"Hmm, Mel was chaos. Why did we even call her? " Cally said as she kept looking at the road while her brows furrowed.
The slow music played along on the radio while Cally drove swiftly. They both grooved along and after a while, they finally reached the hospital.
"Let's go!" Cally exclaimed happily.
Cally and Anna's bond as friends have gotten deeper through this whole month they spent together they now often share their feelings and even hang out sometimes.
"What's happening there now?" Cally questioned as she looked at the crowd gathered in front of a cabin as soon as the doors of the lift opened.
"Isn't that Ray's cabin?" Anna asked and Cally nodded while her eyes stuck on the crowd.
They went close and a nurse saw them approaching and so she went towards them.
"What happened, nurse Mary? Is everything alright?" Anna asked while Cally still looked at the door of the cabin.
"Dr Ray called Dr Lisa in his cabin and we heard him shout. It's been a while since they are in there dunno what mistake did she made which made Dr Ray yell at her." The nurse replied while her face showed worries she had for Lisa.
Lisa was loved a bit as a doctor and even as a person in the hospital. Her nature was quite optimistic with a touch of being savage which everyone loved.
"But why would he do so? Ray isn't that type?" Anna said as she looked at the nurse and back at Cally.
Cally went towards the door while her face gave a very stern look. She went towards the whispering crowd which consisted mostly of the nurses and compounders and said,
"Everyone!" and all went quite.
"Get back to your work, NOW!" As soon as she said everyone dispersed at a lightning speed and Anna came to her.
"What to do now?" She asked being worried.
"Let them sought it out...it's there matter we shouldn't interrupt. I'll go and attend my one and only patient while you should wait in the receptionist's corner," Cally said as she sighed.
"How is it going with you any progress?" Anna asked Cally about Leo.
Cally nodded slightly and said,
"He still is a staunch quiet person."
Anna patted her back slightly and said,
"Don't worry you'll crack it soon, hard work has always been paid with a price."
"I hope I'll get my salary even if I don't solve his case."
"Don't worry, I said hard work always get paid at least you'll get your moneh!" And they both laughed.
"You and your silly jokes," Cally said as she looked at her.
"Still manages to make you chuckle. Well now go or else you'll be late."
Cally nodded and they parted their ways...
Here inside Ray's cabin,
"Why are behaving this way?"
"Is it...because of yesterday?" Lisa's eyes tear up as she didn't know why Ray was so furious today.
"I'm behaving awry? Oh really! Now I'm at fault?" He yelled at her.
"No I- I never said you're-"
"Stop it, Lisa!"
"I'm just fed up of this now."
"But what is the reason? Why-why are you angry with me?"
"You know what they were saying to Sam-"
"Sam! Sam! Sam! Why is HE always there in your mind?!" He emphasised the word 'he.'
"Why can't we have only WE in our conversation instead of him?"
"But Ray-"
"What do you think I won't ever notice what's going?"
"What?" Lisa's voice cracked in between.
"What are you even noticing?"
"He drops you here, you're with him every time even in the parties. I've seen you blushing whenever you talk to him and you consider me a fool for not noticing it?!"
In one breath Ray spat out his feelings about his insecurities towards Lisa While Lisa looked at him in disbelief, neither she knew that Ray has this huge misconception about her and Sam nor Ray wanted his misconception to be cleared.
"Wha-what made you build all this?" She hardly whispered as her voice cracked in between.
Tears rolled down her eyes as she kept looking at this guy who was standing restlessly while looking here and there.
"Now you don't even want to look at me? Ho-how could you misjudge me...so much, Ray?" She said under her breath.
Her lips trembled as if trying to say something, but what would she explain. She had thought that Ray would be the one who'll always understand her feelings even without her adding words to it. Now standing here in front of him and trying to look him in the eyes, she feels...she is just making fool of herself. She closed her eyes for some seconds and took a deep breath. But before she could say anything Ray interrupted.
Keeping his hands on his waist he looked at her frowning, "Let's stop it now, let's... let's make it clear now."
"Let's... stop caring for each other. Let's...stop being more than just coworkers."
"Ray-"
"Let's...not take any step further."
After ending his words he left his cabin while Lisa stood there closing her eyes tears made their ways out without hesitation. She felt broken, she never knew that Ray disbelieves so much. She had never known that something is bugging him lately.
But she didn't want to regret it, maybe it will take some time to recover, maybe...it will take some time to forget her feelings for him but, she'll make sure she will.
Thinking all this she wiped out all her tears and took a deep breath.
"Why should I explain? Why should...I regret?"
She thought and smiled forcefully. Obviously, she can't let others know how hurt she is. She'll be as strong as she is, she'll be as sarcastic as she is. Even if she had loved Ray all this time with all her heart she won't let him take over his mind. She won't cry, her frame of mind has been settled...
