BREAKUP

Ed said,"So what is it that you wanna talk about with.... me?" Amy smiled and said,"Don't say like that. You are my friend, can I not talk to you?" Ed said,"Of course you can buttt.... this is a lil' strange. I mean here in the garden. You could have talked with me in the flat you know!!" Amy chuckled and said,"Yep! I could have but here its all open and fresh. I like this." Ed hummed in response and then said,"So, what's the matter?" Amy rolled her eyes and then said,"Told you, its nothing. I just thought we could interact with each other more. You know, so that we can trust each other more." Ed rose an eyebrow and then questioned,"What do you mean?" Amy replied,"I think you don't trust me enough. YOU DO but just not enough. Seeing you were worried I'll leave and all.... more than others. So, here we are. Bonding." She finished shrugging and smiling at Ed whose eyes widened in surprise and a small smile played on his lips. He said,"Oh! That. Umm... I trust you." Amy's smile widened and she said,"I know you do, duh!!"  And then they talked about everything and nothing in particular.

It was getting near 6 and Archie was getting a feeling that he should just leave now and then but he just couldn't. Then Ed's phone rang, he answered the call and turned to Amy,"I really do appreciate this but Em needs me. So, later?" he asked to which Amy smiled and said ," Later. Go on then."

Ed went back inside and Amy thought she would just take some more time outside but then her phone rang. Archie saw a warm and beautiful smile etched on her face and he wondered who might be the caller. Amy answered the call and said,"Hey love, been a while." Dan replied,"Ya! Hello. I called you to say something important." Amy's smile fell and a frown and worried look took its place as she said,"Is everything alright? Are you okay? What happened?" Dan said,"Okay now Amy slow down. Nothing's happened." Amy sighed in relief and said,"So, what's up?" Dan started,"Amy I'm really sorry to break it to you like this but I had to do it as fast as I could. Amy this distance ... this distance between us made me realise some things. Maybe we aren't cut out for each other. I thought at first that I won't be able to maintain this much distance with you, that's why I got angry when you told me that you were leaving the town and now I'm perfectly fine with all this. Amy I ..... I want to break up with you. I want to start a fresh without being burdened with a relationship." Amy was silent for a minute and then said,"Oh its alright Dan.I understand." She smiled a little and then continued,"Goodbye Dante. I wish you happiness." And she hanged up without waiting for a response.

She saw all around her and Archie hid behind the tree's trunk and then she just walked towards a place secluded and hidden from other's view. Entering that place, one would only see grass and a single tree with a swing attached to its branch. It was a beautiful sight to watch. Its beauty was enhanced due to the setting sun, painting the sky in different vibrant colours. Amy sat on the ground and cried silently, hidden from other's view. She hugged her legs and put her head on her knees. Archie saw her and had the urge to go and hug her and ask what was wrong. After a while or maybe more than that, Amy got up and wiped her tear stained cheeks. Then she made her way inside the apartment. Archie went into his own flat because he knew he couldn't do anything and just wished for Amy to be alright.

Amy silently turned the knob on the door and locked herself inside the bathroom. She then let it all out. She felt like her heart was crushing into pieces. It squeezed so hard in her chest, choking her. She cried and shrieked. She dropped down to the floor.

After what seemed like hours she stood, wiped her tears and then let the shower turned on. She stood under the freezing water until her fingers started to prune. She then changed in her black midi and black heels. She let her hair down in soft curls and did really dark makeup. She then made her way towards her friend's flat. She knocked on the door. Em opened the door and looked at her confused by the change in Amy's appearance. Amy smiled and said,"Party?" Em pondered over the thought and then said,"Why not!! Let me grab the boys. Wait for us in the lobby. Yeah?" Amy smiled and said,"Alright." She then went on her way.
