AN IDEAL BROTHER

When she returned everybody was staring incredulously at her. She was confused and asked,"What?" Steph stood up and held his phone in front of her face,''He was The Lewis Black. You never thought of telling us that you were from 'The Black' family. Are you serious?" She gave him a confusing look.

Em asked her,"Is your father Antonio Black, the politician?" Amy nodded and replied a simple yes. Everybody's jaw dropped. Then Archie said,"But I never heard that the Black's had a daughter! Fuck it, I didn't even know they had a second child." Amy replied,"Well! Of course. Father was never happy with me. He never wanted a second child and specially not a girl. You may say I wasn't wanted and they couldn't abort me because of granny. So yeah nobody ever knew about my existence." Amy shrugged and everybody looked at her sympathetically.

Em said hugging her,"Oh sweetie! I'm so sorry." Amy smiled and said,"Everything's alright now." Dray said,"You are going to visit him next weekend but promise us one thing that if anything happens you'll call us." Ed continued," and also you won't forsake your happiness no matter what!" Amy gave them a broad smile then said,"I promise." They all gave her a hug.

At night, when everybody had left after dinner, Amy and Archie sat on the couch, cuddling and watching t.v .

Archie said,"Amy , I want to ask you something." Amy hummed and said,"Go on." Archie said,"Can I know about you and your brother? What really happened?" Amy sighed then sat straight and looked up at Archie.

He said,"There's no pressure. If you don't wanna tell, its alright. I understand."

Amy said,"Lewis was the only person in the family ,after granny died which was sometime after I was born, to be there for me from when I can remember. He would bring me sweets and candies. Whenever anybody yelled at me, he would sit with me until I had stopped crying. He really was an ideal brother at that time. As we started growing up, he started detaching from me a tad bit but still he was there until the day when I told everyone about Dante. My father of course never supported me and he said a lot of nasty things about him but I thought even though mom won't support me, my brother would never turn his back on me but apparently I was wrong. He not only turned his back on me but told me to break up with him and not be silly."

She sighed resentfully then continued,"That day I left my father's house and moved in with Dante. At that time I loved him too much, we both did. He was the only one to care about me so yeah I didn't listen to a thing anyone said against him." Archie just replied an oh because he didn't know what to say. He couldn't praise her ex-boyfriend of course, so he remained quiet.

Amy continued,"You see, after I moved out , I thought I would never see the day when I will ever love Lewis again or call him brother, but maybe he has changed." Archie said,"What was with that nickname?" Amy laughed then said,"Ah! When I was born, as he says, when he first saw me I was very small,of course, and I had really curly dark black hair just like a raven so he always called me lil' raven." Archie smiled and said,"That's cute." She chuckled and replied,"It is!"

After a few minutes had passed Archie asked Amy,"Hey Amy! Will you tell your parents about me?" Amy looked at him and then said thoughtfully,"It depends." He asked,"On what?" She replied,"Circumstances and their behavior." Archie smiled and said,"I'll pray, everything will be OK." Amy smiled and kissed him on the lips. A slow and lazy kiss.
