I did WHAT to the Devil!

"But then we just read it after you slept off." He turned to look for the couple to use as a shield. And my vision went red again.

"Hey! HEY! Cha-cha, stop it. Not the mailbox. Don't toss it at me. Stahp it!"

----------

I pushed past the valet and stormed into the building.

"Cha-cha are you seriously going to do this... Here? I can't help you if Daisuke fires you." Eiichi raced behind me and tried to keep up with me as I walked briskly towards the elevator door. "How are you so fast with your short legs." I turned to growl at him.

"I'm not speaking to you ever. I hate you." I stabbed the elevator button repeatedly.

"Mizuki, you don't mean that. We were all drunk, I don't even remember anything really. Let's just forget it. I've apologized for both I and Daisuke." I stumped his foot and rushed out the elevator doors. "Cha-ch...Mizuki. Dammit, excuse me." I could hear Eiichi argue with an employee he bumped into. I turned to look into Park Daisuke's office, but he wasn't there. Did Eiichi tip him off?

I turned around and pushed past Eiichi who had bumped into another employee. "Cha-cha, this is ridiculous." He grabbed my arm, "I can put up with your hulk mode, but Daisuke would just call security on you." He laughed his calm adorable laugh like this was a joke.

"Let him, I'll jump off this building with both of you." Dammit all this time, he had been giving me crap, made me think I had done something when he read my damn journal. Granted all the mean things I never said in front of him I wrote in my journal, I had even brought it to the office and pretend to take notes only to make fun of him or draw crude sketches of him. Was that why he got really judgemental? Who cares what I wrote about Park Daisuke? He had no right to read my journal; neither of them did. "Where is Park Daisuke, Eiichi? I know you know." I pulled his turtleneck.

"Fine, I'll tell you. But you will approach this professionally. You don't want to be fired before you can meet your dream CEO right?" I let go of his sweater because he was right. Park Daisuke wouldn't hesitate to remove me from the premises, he seemed like the type of man. I had put up with all of this so I could meet the CEO; I wasn't going to ruin my chances of meeting him. I'd address the issue of the blatant disrespect of my privacy calmly and collectively, like an adult.

The elevator binged, and I marched out, I counted my steps to keep me calmed and levelled. Eiichi just whistled and smiled at me. "What is he doing here anyway? And where are we Eiichi?" Eiichi patted my head, swiped his card, and we watched the metal doors swing open to expose a grand balcony with a water fountain and patio furniture. On the metal railing was Park Daisuke, he didn't hear us come in. I continued to count my steps and breathe, it took everything in me not to run and push him over the railing. "Baby-face…Park Daisuke!" I bit my tongue. He still didn't turn around. " Manager Park Daisuke!" I screamed. And he finally turned around slowly, with a cigarette between his lips.

"Busted." Eiichi snorted from behind me.

"Ho Mizuki, what are you doing here? Eiichi, what is she doing here? You do not have access to these floors Mizuki." He tossed his cigarette into his pocket ashtray and coughed out the smoke in his mouth.

"And you don't have access to smoking on any floor in this building, I remember you being very clear that smoking isn't allowed at Sunnies Reach." He rolled his eyes.

"Now she listens to me." He muttered. I fisted my palms so I wouldn't be tempted to reach out and wring his neck.

"I believe I'm owed an apology..." I started, and Park Daisuke chuckled, then turned to look at Eiichi.

"Is she unwell? What am I apologizing for?" He turned to walk past me. "Know your place Ho Mizuki, I'm your boss, not your mate."

"I know everything about that night." He froze then turned. Now I have your attention.

"You...do?" He stood in front of me, and his eyes darted back to Eiichi. "You told her?"

"Don't look at him. I believe you, Park Daisuke owe me an apology. You blatantly disrespected my privacy." I stepped forwards towards him. "And you let the things you read in my journal without my permission sour your behaviour towards me, your employee." I folded my arms. "That is unacceptable." He blinked slowly for a moment. Cat got your tongue, huh? Wow! Park Daisuke, at a loss for words.

I wish I could frame this moment. I smirked then continued. "I am willing to let your behaviour slide as you were intoxicated, and I'm certain it was Eiichi's terrible idea-"

"So. That's what Eiichi told you," Park Daisuke pulled out another cigarette and lit it. He then started laughing.

What was going on?

"Listen Cha-cha. So the journal thing..." I turned around to look at Eiichi who was slowly stepping backwards. "I made it up" he scratched his throat.

"Why? what are you talking about Eiichi?"

"It's just the journal thing was better than what actually happened." He spoke as he continued to slowly head for the door. "Remember I was saving you the trouble of dealing with the embarrassment, and Daisuke was not going to tell you, so you technically brought this on yourself." He then turned to Park Daisuke and said, "Be gentle with her, she might toss us off this balcony."

"If you are so interested in knowing what happened… No. What 'you' did that night. I can thoroughly fill you in." And suddenly I didn't want to know anymore. "We woke up at 4am, and Eiichi had the bright idea to put you to bed, I was all for leaving you on your little sofa. But he said it was the gentleman's thing to do." He stepped towards me with each break in the dialogue. "Who knew you have such terrible bed etiquette." He took another step closer, and I began to move backwards at an equal pace. "Eiichi somehow bamboozled me into being the one to pick you up, which I obliged because I felt bad for you." He paused to take a drag. "We had just made our way to the side of your bed, and I'd let you fall on it. When you pulled me down with you and... what was the word she used that night?" He turned to Eiichi, who was full-on red as he held in his laugh.

"I believe the word she used was 'honk'" Eiichi stifled a giggle.

"Yeah, that was it… I'd just let you fall on the bed when you graciously honked my dick." I stepped back and fell into a chair. Wide-eyed.

"I did what…" I did what? What? What did I do? Honked his what?

"Was I not clear… you grabbed my dick and then you honked it" He raised his hands and did the squeezing motion. Then he dropped his finished cigarette into his pocket ashtray. "Now, if you are all caught up, I'll take my apology, written, live, or you could just do us both a favour and resign. Whichever. I don't care." He sprayed himself with some perfume and turned towards the door.

"Wait! What about buying me lunch, y...you buy me lunch everyday" I grabbed his hand, then immediately let go when I remembered 'I had honked my boss's dick.'

"Your fridge was empty, and I have never seen you eat lunch. I don't want an employee working under me to faint while on the job, it would look bad for the company." He turned towards the giant metal doors, slid his card and disappeared from sight.

"I think I'm going to throw up." I grabbed my stomach and bent over, knowing full well that I had fucked up.
