12.

After an hour or two the weird muscle-bound nurse sent me back to class.

As the day went by I avoided Quinn as much as she avoided me. Everytime our eyes would coincidentally met she would look away as if just looking at me was just too much. I felt a pang in my chest when this happened. I ignored it, thinking of it as a mere health problem.

Days passed and it continued. I sat in the cafeteria with a sandwich. I nibbled, not really having an appetite.

"HEY WASSUP'!"

Startled I look up to see a guy I recognized as one of Quinn's friends. I wasn't stalking her or anything, I just happened to notice.

I nod at him and hope he would go away. But he took it as an invite and sat down next to me.

"So, you and Quinn had a fight..."

"And?" I asked with annoyance, wishing he would leave already and just leave things be.

He paused before continuing.

"I just think that you should apolog-"

"I WASN'T AT FAULT!" I yelled a bit too unnecessarily loud.

Everyone around us quieted down as the guy leaned away from me. After awhile noise started back up around us again. Once he felt that I calmed down he continued.

"I'm not saying it was your fault," he said softly. "But I know Quinn, she's stubborn and hardheaded at times, and when she's hurt she refuses to make it up with the other person unless they apologize to her first." He shrugs and chuckles before continuing. "All I'm saying is, you should hurry up and make it up with her."

He pats my shoulder before getting up and walking away.

I think about what he said. I hurt her!? How? How could I possibly hurt her? I don't remember saying anything bad or offensive...

I sighed and got up to throw away my sandwich.
