Gale didn't stop, he kept going.
I desperately went after him. Damn, he's fast, I thought.
The hallways and lockers whir by me. Blending together until they're all one color. Why are the lights so bright? I thought, squinting. I shake off that thought with something more important in mind.
Sweaty and exhausted, I stop at a corner of a hallway to catch my breath. I look around and catch a sight of Gale talking to Quinn. I've got to stop him! I couldn't see her reaction but it probably wasn't good.
I rush over yelling, "I told you, she isn't ugly, she's pretty!"
Quinn looked at me, surprised.
"What are you talking about?"
I looked over at Gale, incredulous of what just happened.
"Y-you didn't tell her..?"
Gale grinned.
"Nope, but your face was priceless! Now she knows what you think about her!"
Quinn quickly caught on what happened as Gale explained it to her. I stood by embarrassed for giving off such a strong reaction.
A strong wave of dizziness came over me and I swayed. Gale and Quinn stopped talking and looked at me worriedly.
"Are you alright?" Quinn reached towards me.
Everything blurred then and I heard someone scream out my name.
