Alone With Him

I woke up the next morning in my bed. Though I don't remember getting in my bed nor even going to sleep. At all. I reached on my nightstand for my phone but couldn't seem to feel it. My eyes shot open as I looked at the table, my phone was gone. I always leave it on the table. How was I supposed to contact anyone?! I sat up quickly and hopped right out of bed about to go on the search for my phone until I heard a loud thump downstairs.

I swung my door open and looked over the railing for the stairs. I saw Mrs. Darnell laying on the floor motionless. I ran as quick as I could to reach her and slid on the ground to get to her. "MR. DARNELL!! HELP!" I screamed loudly before Mr. Darnell came in running quickly. His eyes locked on his wife's body. I could see the pain and heartbreak in his eyes as they began to cloud up with tears.

"O-Oliver...Go back to you're room, please. I'll take care of her..." He said softly as he motioned towards his wife. I stood back up and began walking up the staircase. I looked back once more as I reached the top of the stairs, seeing him pick her up and heading toward the front door. I didn't know what was going on. Was she okay?! I know I haven't lived here long but I felt a connection between the couple. They cared about me so much! I couldn't stand to see something happen to them.

I walked to my room and squeezed through the door. I pressed my back against the door and slid down it before the door was shoved open and I was forced to get off the door. I landed on my hands and knees thankfully as I froze in fear. I heard a familiar voice from behind me as well as the door closing. "Hello again~" The man from last night said. I quickly turned around and sat on my knees, staring up at him.

"Who are you!?" I exclaimed with fear as I was shaking a bit. He shot me a small smirk as he bent down and grabbed my chin. I looked into his blue, but looked golden at the moment, eyes as he looked back at me. I soon pulled away from his grip and cleared my throat. He stood back up and moved his hand.

"I'm Elijah, new foster child." He said, narrowing his eyes and smirking at me again. The little nickname he gave me kinda angered me. I didn't want to be known as 'New Foster Child'. I didn't ask for my parents to be murdered. It's not like it was my fault! He held his hand out for me. I stared at him and his hand for awhile before I took his hand into mine. He pulled me onto my feet but I stumbled and my face was shoved into the mans chest.

He chuckled but quickly stopped. He grabbed the hair on the back of my head and pulled me back. I winced and glared at him. "Let me go..!" I said with anger. He dropped my hand and released my hair. I put my hand on the back of my head and rubbed it, his grip was quite strong but I wasn't going to show that I was in pain. "What are you doing here?!" I asked with confusion but also with a slight attitude.

"I live here. I'm Elijah Darnell. Son of Hope and Kris Darnell." He said plainly.

My eyes widened at his words. I couldn't believe that. "So where have you been this past week?!" I asked, stepping back from him and looking him up and down. "And why do you look so torn up?!" His shirt had multiple holes in it, he was covered in dirt and mud, his hair was perfectly messed up and dangling in front of his face, you could see cuts all along the parts of his body that were shown from rips or that they just weren't covered.

He rolled his eyes and cupped my cheek. "Worried about me already~? Ah. They fall so quickly~." He teased as he got close to my face. His breath smelt surprisingly good, minty actually. I put my hand on his face and pushed him backward, making him stumble. He growled and raised a hand up to me like he was going to hit me but instead...hugged me.

I flinched as my eyes were clenched shut. I slowly opened them as I could see him arching down to be able to wrap around me. I moved my hands up and around his back, gently hugging him back. I was shocked and honestly didn't know what to do in this situation. I heard him sniffle like he was crying. "A-Are you okay...?" I whispered loud enough for him to hear me. He moved back a bit to look me in the eyes, his hands gripping my upper arms. I flinched at his strong grip as I stared, shocked, back into his eyes.

I saw a bit of fear in his eyes before I was shoved backwards and hit the end of my bed. A loud grunt slide through my mouth as I clenched my eyes closed. "Ah-!" I whined out helplessly. He put one of his hands on my cheek, I opened my eyes back up, again looking into his eyes. I saw a sudden change from lust to anger. My eyes widened as his hand slide from my cheek to my neck. He began to choke me with a single hand. I struggled underneath him as I tried to push him off of me but he seemed to not even budge. I clenched my eyes closed again and grunted for help.

I could feel his stare burn my skin as I could see a faint smile appear, widening from cheek to cheek. I stopped struggling, trying to look unconscious or dead at the least. He soon let go of my neck and turned around. My eyes shot open as I looked for something to defend myself with. I grabbed a lamb as quick as I could and hit him on the back, making the glass of the lamp shatter everywhere. He grunted loudly and quickly turned back around to punch me in my stomach. I dropped to the ground as tears bubbled in my eyes.

I only ever make situations worse and here I was doing it again. I was going to die. By Elijah Darnell.. I couldn't stop someone as big as him. I stayed on the ground, my head pointed to the ground. "Just kill m-me already..." I said dreadfully. He said down on his knees in front of me, grabbing my chin, making me look up at him.

"Don't beg for death..because it'll come sooner than you think." He said but sounded like a threat. I couldn't help but start crying. He wipes my tears and stood back up, exiting the room. I didn't know what to do. He could've killed me. He almost killed me! Why didn't he!? It's not like I want it! But he had all the chance to..! Who does that-.
