Some years later a raging dragon dropped out of the sky, burning everything in its path. It seemed like he knew what he was doing, it was as it was on a warpath to complete his mission, but deep within him he was feeling confused and he had no one to turn to, or so he thought. There was a bird like figure that appeared within the flames of a burning village. He froze in mid-flight hovering above the blaze, staring at the seemingly familiar bird. This had left him feeling more confused and disorientated. He shook it off and continued chasing the helpless people that managed to escape his wrath. He opened his goliath mouth and let out a roar that echoed through the heavens, but when he tried to breathe out fire, he couldn't. He tried again and again he failed, then he saw the bird figure again appear right in-front of him. In mid-flight frozen and disorientated.
All the missions he had completed this was the only one that he failed to finish.
It wasn't fear that stopped him. There was something familiar about the bird that he felt deep within. He couldn't handle much more, as he clumsily turned back around and headed away from the carnage he'd caused.
His journey back to the mountains was a bit slow and bumpy, he didn't realise it until he almost hit the ground. His claws scratched the earth's surface. He flapped his huge heavy wings to thrust him back into the sky, in the hopes he could think more clearly. Instead he grew more confused the more he thought about it. He couldn't just shake it off this time. The thought that bird figure, it had some resemblance to something he recognised as familiar. He hadn't been around anyone or anything for years.
"What or who could that bird figure be?" he thought. "I've got to pull myself together, I have to find out.". He thought over and over in his head trying to solve this mystery bird figure, why it appeared in that moment and not just once but twice. He was getting aggravated and began roaring fire again.
He was almost certain that someone was out to get him, but he wasn't sure if it was this way. He wasn't ready to go yet.
That evening, it took a long while for the dragon to rest peacefully. There was this orange glow, then it just disappeared. The dragon woke up and saw a figure standing there, he looked down at himself and he was human too.
"What happened? Why am I a human?"
"I made it happen," the figure said, stepping out of the shadows. " I am FengGe. You are LongWei" FengGe introduced himself.
"I think LongWei was once my name, how did I forget that?"
"I don't know but it is still your name. I am here to set you on the right path," FengGe said.
"But what if I am on the right path already, you're just not seeing what I see. I've had great mentors helping me after my brother...I mean you left me. Mother passed soon after the funeral…" LongWei cried out in anger.
'I feel your anger Ah Long, I really do. You don't need to give in to anger just because it's easier to handle. Try to find that peaceful place in your mind…"
"No! It is too late for that now.." LongWei transformed back and flew off.
FengGe stood there for a while before transforming into his phoenix form to catch up to him. It did not take him long as LongWei was big and slightly a clumsy flyer.
"I can help you fly better, if only you would just listen to me." FengGe said, telepathically.
"How can you? Why should I listen to you, both you and mother left me alone…" he roared angrily.
"But it's still not too late," FengGe said. "This is going nowhere," he thought.
In that moment FengGe was so lost in deep thought that it gave LongWei the chance to vanish. FengGe had no idea where he went. He decided to circle around once before flying back to his sacred place.
