He glanced at his cartier watch when they got back in the car. It’s 9.30 PM. Time did fly so quickly. He drove his car back to his penthouse.
Once they got there, Azalea helped take in the bags from shopping, and put things away in the cupboards and fridge. “What are you in the mood to eat? I might just make something quick because I’m really hungry,” she said looking at Sidney.
"Anything warm, please. I’m going to change my clothes first and then go to sleep after I eat. I need to get up early to go to the company tomorrow." He took off his shoes and went into his bedroom.
Azalea nodded her head and decided to make grilled chicken because it was warm, simple, and quick. “Sidney, what time will we need to leave tomorrow?” she yelled so he’d hear her.
"Maybe around eight!" He yelled back from his room. He sat on his bed to check on his phone a bit. There were no text messages or missed incoming calls. It’s weird. He was just realized that Nicolette used to call him sometime around the day or at least send him a good night text if she’s busy. Maybe he should just call her later?
Sidney came out of his room wearing a comfortable loose shirt and trousers. “Whatever it is, the smell makes me hungry~” He smiled.
"Grilled cheese," she said as she finished the last one. "If you want more, I can make some." She moved to the table and set it, then put the food on the table. "I’m ready to eat whenever you are."
He smiled at her words, that she would eat only when he does. Not many people would say that and Sidney as a high-faced person just felt flattered. He poured two glasses of water and put it on the table. “Let’s eat together now,” He smiled, looking at the grilled chicken and cheese. He cut it and took a small bite. “Mm, it’s delicious~”
"You don’t have to cut it," Azalea said laughing as she sat down. "Just eat it like a normal sandwich." She too began to eat, though she ate it how she normally would. "So what is the business your father owns?"
"Real estate," He answered after he munched the first bite. "That’s why I got this amazing penthouse." He grinned. "But it’s just not my field of interest. I rather work with fashion, and something that doesn’t make me glued to a chair behind the desk."
"I understand. Doing something you hate is torture. Maybe I can help, once I get through college of course. Then with me helping, you can focus on fashion more," she offered. Of course he could reject the idea if he wanted to.
"You are willing to help me run the company?" He asked in surprise. Sure she can, if he send her to a high quality and class university she’ll be taught to handle such a company, of course. "But, don’t you have your own expectations? Your dream job?"
"Of course I’m willing to run it. As for dreams, not really. I wanted to become successful in some way and get out of… well… you know about that," Azalea said. All she wanted was to go to college, she was going to go after what seemed like a good career for her that the college she could afford offered.
"Okay…a female CEO would be cool." He grinned. He drank the water and put the glass and plate on the sink. "I’m done~ Are you?"
Azalea nodded her head and put her glass and plate in the sink. “I’m glad you’d be ok with that because I think we’d make a good pair, but that’s just me,” she said with a small smile.
He wasn’t sure of how to answer that, so he only nodded and smiled. But somehow he’s sure that she would make a decent wife that he’d always dreamed of. “You know what, I think my father would rather have you as a child.” he came up to her and hugged her gently. “Good night,” He kissed her on the cheek before walking back to his bedroom.
"Good night," she said. She was surprised her had hugged her and kissed her cheek. It was such a cute thing to do. Though her thoughts were wondering about what he meant by that. After she cleaned up the kitchen, she too went to bed. Crawling under the blankets, she fell asleep quickly.
