She sighed quietly. “No, that’s not what on thinking about. Sorry for saying it like that,” she said leaning down and resting her forehead on his. She nuzzled hers against his lightly.
He nuzzled back, but still looked a bit sad. If she left him, then he got no one. It was like in his nightmare. He touched her neck to pull her into a deep, desperate kiss. He didn’t know how to say it, but he hoped the kiss would deliver his feelings.
She could feel his desperation in the kiss and didn’t know how to reply to that other than by showing her love. So that is what she did. She kissed him back with all the love she had for him. “I hope you know I’d do anything to help you,” she whispered. Even if it meant hurting them both.
“You don’t need to ‘help’ me..” He smiled softly. “You only have to stay here, by my side, and love me for me…” He kissed her again, this time lovingly. “..Okay?” He only asked two things from her. Her presence, and her love.
